  1. Out of all the quarterbacks coming out, the only one i can see as a true NFL quarterback--at least for our team-- is Clauson. His offensive line is terrible, he constantly faces pressure--unlike many of the other QB's-- and is still successful. he runs a pro-style offense, so he should make a good transition to the pros. I just feel that he could be and immediate impact.
  2. it wasn't a given that the bill wouldn't have picked up the first down, i would take our offense against the patriots defense any day rather than the other way around. other players definately made mistakes but mckelvins was the worst of them all and AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME.
  3. im not mad that they lost, im mad at how they lost. we should have never needed to drive down the field in the first place, the patriots gave the game to us by kicking off and we gave it right back to them
  4. had McKelvin not fumbled the bills win. see i can play this game too!
  5. like i said in my original post, i don't hate him and i am not screaming to cut him, i just think he needs to know that he screwed up and as long as he learns from it and comes out with fire in his stomach, than i have no problems. but come on, good teams make stops, yeah okay, lets put a defense with a 2nd string linebacker on a short field and see if they can stop them. it wasn't like they were in the redzone and we could cover the recievers better, they scored from 20 yards out on each of those two touchdowns
  6. why is it so hard to grasp the concept of a turnover. we TURNED it OVER on a short field. now had we not TURNED it OVER we would have won the game...you get it now? class dismissed i need to go over the lesson plan for the 1st graders now.
  7. yes. im pretty sure scoring a touchdown after trailing by 5 and taking the lead proves the second part of your sentence
  8. pretty sure one of those touchdowns came after mckelvin FUMBLED. keep trying though your almost there
  9. great job on giving examples that happened after mckelvin screwed up
  10. correct me if im wrong but i thought mckelvin played defense? and your honestly referencing plays from the first quarter? thats a convincing argument.
  11. i can agree with that, the penalties killed us tonight but i thought the first roughing the passer penalty they called on Wilfork was stupid, but ill take 15 yards anyday
  12. the refs sucked and bell had too many costly penalties...definately does contribute, but make no mistake WE LOST THIS GAME BECAUSE OF MCKELVIN! why is it not okay to blame him, its not like i'm going to hold it against him forever, i know how much talent he has and i know the he never meant to fumble but the fact still remains...he did fumble. I would rather he know that he was the reason we lost this game and learn from it. nobody wants to feel like he does right now and i want him to remember that for next time. nobody is gonna hold a grudge(at least not 48 hours from now) and i certainly don't hate him. he needs to take responsibility for his screw up and not buy into "were a team crap". when you mess up like that you need to challange yourself to not do it again and come out of the situation with something. for the record i blame McKelvin. he was trying to make a play, just at the wrong time. i'm not gonna sit here and convince myself, "well if we did this at this point we never would have been in that situation" and i'm not gonna baby McKelvin either, but what he, and everyone else needs to realize is that its over and done with. play harder next week and you redeem yourself in my mind. He messed up, one play one game. get over it and move on.
  13. thankyou for proving my point as to how much of a$$ you are.
  14. can you please just shut the hell up. nobody cares about your poems or your romeo and juliet reverences because it has nothing to do with anything and makes you seem like a flaming homosexual.
  15. thanks for insulting everyone here by the way, feel free to leave at any time. i really could care less about ESPN but i do understand the whole concept of recieving some respect as an actual national football league team every once in a while. I guess a fan turning on the t.v. and catching the last part of what a respected(in some cases undeserving) analyst has to say about there favorite team just pisses you off huh. i have heard a lot of those threads too and i really don't let them get me so angry i need to waste everyone elses time on another pointless thread. the whole point you are trying to make about pointless threads was voided the minute you made this one. is it bad to want some attention? even in the early 90's we never had great media coverage, in 04 we had the best defense in the league and still nothing. it took a TE on special teams to break his freaking neck before we ever got into the media for anything more than 2 min, and even then it was all about the doctors. now we have an eventual hall of fame reciever on our team and people realize that we may actually get some recognition, and when we don't or its recognition in a negative light, fans get upset...WOW...NEVER THOUGHT THAT WOULD HAPPEN!
  16. no maybe its half man-bear and half pig, or half man and half bear-pig!
  17. I think steve tasker could also be considered underrated. if you start to talk about who is a great special teams player he will rarely come up outside of this board and is not even mentioned in regular NFL conversations. in my mind he was the best special teams player ever(including hester) and i feel that he is overlooked to often because he brought so much to the 90's team in terms of intensity and setting the tempo of the game(physically). there were many times(the game vs the raiders comes to mind where he returned it to the 1) that he has jump-started the bills when they may have had a few lackluster drives. plus how many special teams players are the mvp of the pro-bowl?
  18. this is probably the most negative post on here. first you say TO is an !@#$ even though you don't know him and there is probably information that most don't know about each of his previous teams(thats not to say that owens is not a disturbance but to call someone an !@#$ based on that is stupid). you then go on about how much ralph is a cheapskate throw in some crappy scenario that you think will happen and top it all off with the fact that you think this is the "silver lining". THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF A SKOOBY THREAD! do i think jauron is a good coach...i don't know. has he made some bad calls...i guess but when you think of all the weird things(in terms of bad draft picks and injury) i would say he could have done worse. sure we were 4-0 last year, but i think us tanking it was more because of the fact that edwards was injured and losman played and the year before that i believe we had like 17 guys on IR or some rediculous thing. even though we have had three 7-9 seasons i don't believe that firing him is the answer because where does it end, phillips, williams maularki(spelled wrong don't care)...where does it end. having said that i believe that jauron definately needs to show improvement now that those excuses are a thing of the past because i think we have a legitemate playoff roster and if we don't get in or are at least competitive, i would start looking elsewhere in the coaching dept.
  19. how is vince young not on that list? talk about an all time bomb both on the field and in his own head.
  20. do you even know what sleep apnea is? because its not randomly falling asleep or passing out, that has nothing to do with sleep apnea.
  21. true, dallas clark is faster and quicker than metzlarz and McKeller even though McKeller was stronger and seemed to knock heads when tackled. IMO though this is just a variation of the no-huddle and with the "true" fullback no longer really existing you can draft guys like Cooley (redskins) and still have 4 wide with a single backfield. its not a necessity to have the athletic tight ends because "true" tight ends are still being used effectively in the NFL today where as its better for a team to have a pass catching fullback. personally i would rather have the pass catching full back like cooley and have an extra blocker up on the line who occasionally can run routes but thats just me.
