Yes I have tackled people and while in the midst of tackling I was only trying to get the tacklee to the ground as soon as possible any way I could do it. Have you ever heard the phrase the minute your not going 100% and let up is the minute your going to get hurt? Letting up in the middle of a textbook tackle is not an option, you can't just let up, there is just not enough time, I don't care what the rules say. It's easy to critique by watching on tv, but in the middle of a tackle, you don't think oh my god I've got to let up. That's just crazy talk to even think you could possibly do that in less than a half second. IMO that was a BS fine by the NFL. Anyway the league can make an extra buck, by god they will do it. Even if that means fining their own on suspect calls. The league is a joke. It's all about money, nothing will ever change.

I guess I need to ask everyone and the NFL who thought Wilson drove Trent into the ground, what should Wilson have done? I mean Trent still had the ball as Wilson started his tackle technique while running full speed. He hit him shoulder pad to chest, helmet to armpit, wrapped his arms in perfect tackling form and his body weight carried both of them to the ground. What should Wilson have done, what could he have done? I don't think he could have done anything different, and just because the NFL fined him doesn't mean he did anything wrong. I don't care what the rules say, there is a whole lot of gray area there. The NFL picks and chooses based on that time of the month, so everyone here knows that was subjective. I had no problem with the hit, Trent has a helmet and shoulder pads on too!

Bull, his helmet him in the armpit and his shoulder pad hit him in the chest as Trents arm was in the prone position as he released the ball, then he proceeded to wrap and tackle(just like everyone is ever taught from 5 yrs old and on). Watch the replays, it's a clean hit. His helmet hit Trent in the armpit. Helmet slid up to his chin facemask area as he finished the tackle. You finish checks in hockey, why can't you finish the tackle in football. It's really a non issue if you know how the game is played.

Better recheck the stats. Trent has been sacked 11 times with 2 fumbles and 2 pics this year in 4 games. Rams and Seahawks are worse than the Cards and it's not proven the Raiders are better either, the Jags i'll give ya.
