  1. I find the whole Mike Williams saga very strange at OBD. MW was brought in to serve as our RZ target and all through training camp and the preseason he was running with the first team and was used in the red zone. His last catch with the team was an 80 yard touchdown pass, but that was also EJ's last pass.

I find it interesting that as soon as KO is made the starter MW goes inactive. Even when ME got hurt MW was 5th on the depth chart and only saw a play or two (no targets). I am wondering if there is/was some sort of internally beef between KO and MW or better yet if MW spoke out against the benching of EJ and was put in to BB purgatory?

All I know is this team is the leagues worst when it comes to RZ efficiency and there was a guy on the team whose sole purpose for being here was for catches in the RZ.

  2. How is it that we start a thread to cut a backup QB who was serviceable last year and then tonight when he was on the field with practice squad players and others who will have these three games as memories, think that he has no talent. Please don't forget Tuel was running with the 1s and 2s.

  3. After EVERY bowl game someone is posting a thread ...Ohhh do we take <insert name here> as a QB with our #9 pick. You may not be sold on EJ, too bad. Marrone, Whaley and Brandon are!!! Thus Marrone's statement at the end of the season press conference that EJ is our #1 quarterback going in to 2014.

If we are talking about potential draft options like TE, WR, LB, OL.

  4. This is what happens when you drink your own kool aid and oh by the way your opponent has extra time to prepare.

    A. A drive in the last 1:36 against Carolina was great, but EJ is still a rookie with just 2 preseason games under his belt and 2 regular season games. That drive did not make him a seasoned pro bowl QB. Unfortunately the brass at 1 Bills drive made that assumption. The game plan (or lack thereof) was as vanilla as they come. Aside from FJ busted run, the run play calling was horrendous. The NYJ have the leagues best run D and we call dives and veers.

    B. The NYJ did not respect EJ intermediate to long passes and put 9 in the box. Where were the screens, where was the bunch formations with picks, why did it take until the 4th qtr to look for the TE down the middle (oh by the way in cover 1 or cover 0 you get long gains or a SC TD)

    C. Why leave the corners on an island. Our back ups are just that. Unfortunately, they have to play as starters. Rodgers was abused all day with no over the top help.

In as much as this game was painful to watch, we will see what this coaching staff is made off by they way they prepare for the Ravens.

  5. I live down in Tampa and was listening to a local sports talk show and the show was derailed when they started talking about Josh Freeman being traded. What ultimately caught my attention was when they were talking about the trade partner being the Bills. This the first I had heard of the Bills trading for a QB, but with all the Bills talk today, sounds like there could be something to it.

    The scenario they reported was:

    Buf 1st & 3rd for Bucs 1st and Freeman.

They were saying greg schiano likes Barkley and wants to move up to get him.

This is the only place I heard of this trade. Has anyone else heard of it or can validate this.

  6. Now that time has passed and the blood pressure has come back to normal.. I still have questions from today's game.

Can someone answer this for me: How do you put a running back with a shoulder injury in on Goal Line? Is this not the part of the field where they say the hard hitting happens. Do we not always hear in the beginning of Training Camp that when they ran GL drills the pads were popping. Why would you risk further injury or even a turnover?

Next Question: When you prepare for a team (especially one that owns you) don't you study the teams who have either kept it close or beat that team? Do you look for the tendencies or weaknesses. Am I missing something but didn't Baltimore and Arizona pressure Brady ever snap he took? If you cant get there with four then don't you bring more?

Follow up to the previous question: When you beat a team the previous year throwing screens up and down the field, why do you eliminate that play from the playbook in the next game and game after?

Final Question / Suggestion: I already know what the answer will be but... If you and the rest of the teams have loosing records going from East Coast to the West Coast why not stay out West for the next two weeks. Then there can be no excuse of time change or travel when we play Arizona.

  7. As another out of towner I really appreciate getting to hear Buffalo sports radio at the click of a button, but there really is a VERY short list of commercials they play. Let's see:

    - McGruff the Crime Dog talks a 12-yar old girl into the proper way of dealing with cyberbullying (delete it, don't forward it)

    - Respected access for offroad vehicles - use those detailed maps so offroad vehicles "and others" can enjoy those beautiful backcountry landscapes

    - Keep yourself safe at work (report any strange behavior, check ID tags, etc)

How is GR making any money?

Don't forget about that Fanny Pack - "Hip MP3 Player" or those Hot Pink Shutter Shades - "Hey I cant see... But your Kids can see you"
