Agree, except that I always thought it would be nice to have more than solid opposite White. Did the Bills every have two excellent corners?
Butch Byrd & Booker Edgerson. Championships.

Anybody watch that? What a bunch of clowns. Have any of those 3 ever watched a Josh Allen regular season game in full?
Good to know what casual fans in the NFL will be regurgitating this year. At least it's positive now.
But good God man, the NFL coverage today. Abysmal isn't a strong enough word. Maybe parody is a good word.
It’s true that the kid at my gas station, and one of the new kids at the corner store are head over heels for JA17…. FWIW…

I, too, watched an old game tonight… the Turkey Day win over Dallas 2019. This was the game where Josh well and truly showed the league/world what he was all about, taking control at the end of the second half with his stunning 4th and 1 recovery of the fumbled snap and then beast mode gaining the first down. He had had enough of the back and forth BS, and went on to ice the game by the end of the third. A bookend to the Ravens game, in that the victory at Dallas was the ‘end of the beginning’ for Josh. Everything after that is just a steady upward march. I’m pretty sure I had more fun watching this one than you did w/ the Ravens, but it really is interesting to put those two games as bookends for Josh Level 1….
or maybe I’m just blathering, either way, watching old games is the only way to survive this period, FFS…- 1

Much appreciated, OP. Pretty sure that I had only ever seen highlights of that game; was out on the water when it went down live…too many years ago. Nice way to kill some time today while isolating w/ the Crud…
Thomas AND Talley were beasts this day, especially loved 56 w/ the stuff at the 2 yard line on the final play. Top to bottom, that was a complete team effort; great OL execution, inspired D, precious few mistakes.
Bittersweet watching though, knowing what it lead to. Eager to watch this year’s squad finally take it all the way, Go Josh! Go Bills!- 2

Insane to see so many people picking Freddy Jackson and Marshawn Lynch over impact players at valuable positions.
CB: Gilmore, Winfield, Clements, McGee
LB: Fletcher, Spikes
DE: Mario, Schoebel
LT/RT: Jason Peters
WR: Moulds, Evans, TO
Good lord, pick any of those over a running back.
NFW. Those are all really good players, and important cogs for us. Take your pick of any two and pair them with Fred Jackson. Incomparable ability to get what was needed, do what was needed, fire up the whole team… totally love Freddy.

A 224lb guy is not going to be lining up at DE.
I think you and Thurman are probably correct, but billybrew’s notion of having Bernard on the field for the situations he mentioned are intriguing, to say the least.
For example, howzabout a 3-3-5? Von/Ed/Groot, backed by Milano/Edmunds/Bernard, then the usual nickel…?
They wouldn’t have picked him if Coach SetInHisWays Frazier wasn’t open to finding ways to use him…..I also wonder how Tim Settle might fit into these scenarios. Yes, a significant run-stuffer but I’m impressed with his pass rush power, he’s just a beast all around, hoping for great things from him.

Fuller is 6'1" and 180#.
My bad…he looked freaking tiny to me…??
Meanwhile, Blackshear is only 5’9”, but he’s 194… pretty sure that’s not ‘smurf’ territory, either so guess I should just shut up and go to bed…

Blackshear and Fuller both interesting; both Smurfs, too…

Liked his explanation/comparison about Cook v. Hall running inside and balance/yards after contact. Made it clearer to me that BH was never going to be a ‘bell cow’ (and, as Joe says, McBeane don’t seem to want one).

I love this guy!
It’s a sign of the times that he’s in on table jumping/fan base ‘metrics’, yadayada… cool. BUT, he is definitely not Ted Washington. I had no idea he was so ‘trim’. Makes me want to jump on board with BadOld’s argument that he’s a too-tall Jordan Phillips type…

“I watched our running game for the majority of last year. ”
We all watched the running game for the entire year, so…
Methinks there’s a salty little tidbit of a word (or two?) missing from somewhere in this sentence?? You thought it, but you didn’t type it??
Underwhelm? Disappoint? Stink? Suck? Fail?…

Can’t believe I just scrolled through two pages of a Kay Adams thread and there’s not even one pic??

A WR in the first round and a RB in the second.

Don’t forget to take your meds, dear boy; your mother worries about you so, especially when you get cranky like this…

On the off chance that we do get him, I will right now 100% commit to giving her a call to explain the situation…

Perhaps, and I’m sure either McDuffie or Booth would be a huge get, but Tre and Stingley together = two special peas from the same damn pod… just an overwhelmingly potent force, especially with our two A#1 veteran safeties, that’s a dream secondary.
Yeah, and Cheryl Tiegs is gonna’ come over every week to sit on my lap during the games, too..

I don’t think teams think that way in the draft. I think they stay mostly self centered, and stick to their board, and if a trade is beneficial to us, then you do it. I don’t think you concern yourself with who is on the other line, imo. I think they stay in the first for the 5th year option, but I could see a scenario where they trade out to the 2nd. I am hoping a team like Detroit might want to move up for a QB.Hopefully some do want to move up to our spot, I like that scenario the best I think, with the exception of a do-what-it-takes trade up for Stingley….
Tre and Stingley together would be sick to watch week to week…we’d be blessed.

I think the Bills trade up if Stingley or Gardner fall into the 12-15 range. That’s it imo. I don’t think they trade up for anyone else. Maybe a mini trade up for a next tier corner in the 22 area. That’s JMO.
I don’t they would trade up for Jordan Davis, but if he’s there at 25 I think they take him.
To me, the most likely scenario for the Bills is to stay at 25. Maybe trade down a bit but not out of the round. Then use picks to trade up to get multiple 2s or 3s. Like the year the traded up in the third and got Singletary and Knox. Or the time the traded up in the 2nd to get Dion and Zay Jones.
I like this logic, but wouldn’t it be mo bettah to trade down with one of the squads at the beginning of Rd. 2?…seeing as how those teams are likely much less of a threat to us this year?

Well, thanks for asking the question and posting the pics! It sure looks like an effective system, one that I’d not seen before. Would love to try it, so I’ll get right onto losing a third of my body weight, so they don’t have to use a crane to get me back to standing…

Stickmobility.com
photo 50 of iMac w/ the poles
this is a generic tidbit, not sure what the specific drill is about, except to assume it’s a hip mobility/quad/glute/hammy stretch type. It would appear from the plant position of the poles being slightly behind his torso, that you would start more nearly upright and then slide your front foot further out on the blue foot pad thingy. No question that this photo shows extreme range of motion, and would be impossible to maintain w/o assistance of some sort, hence the sticks…

How often should I use the Training Sticks?
Stick Mobility can be practiced every day. The benefits of Stick Mobility transfer to performance training and everyday activities.
You can use Stick Mobility as a standalone training program or segmentally. It is a system that complements other training systems and sports.
Active stretching and flows can be integrated into your daily routine for warm-ups and recovery. Submaximal efforts can be used for pre-exercise activations on a daily basis. Daily active deep stretching will allow you to access increased ranges of motion and help strengthen your body over time.
Maximal effort isometrics (90-100%) can be done as a standalone workout, which requires optimal recuperation, as it fully fatigues the central nervous system. (Think of how often you would do maximal lifts in the gym.)
Maximal efforts for 1-2 exercises can be introduced per individual workout, but with a limitation of approximately 1-2 minutes of total contraction time. (This is a general guideline for maximal efforts as some people have exceptional capabilities and can handle more load and effort than most.)”

WHY STICK MOBILITY?
"The Stick Mobility Training Stick provides leverage which allows you to achieve positions and ranges of motion you wouldn’t normally be able to reach. It's been the missing link to my own personal mobility training."

Me too. I've rewatched the end of that game probably 10 times over the years. Here are some of my favorite memories:
1. If you loved Fred Jackson (and who among us didn't) this was him at his best. What a player, wasted on so many mediocre teams.
2. Hate Bellichik as much as you want (and I do), you have to hand it to him. What a great football mind. With all the hoo-ha around whether Fred's carry was a touchdown or not, once the referees made the call he knew right away that he needed to use an immediate timeout because the clock would start on the referee's ready signal. (Rich Gannon, in the booth, never had a clue why NE had taken the timeout.)
3. Chan Gailey was probably the best coach we had during the dark years.
4. First Bill win against NE since the Sam Adams/Lawyer Milloy game (31-0)
5. And best of all - four Brady interceptions including a pick-6.
Pretty sure your point#2 is incorrect. Seemed to that the ref threw that flag and took away the 2nd timeout because BB wasn’t able to deal with the ref’s explanations (presumably the question was the amount of time remaining). BB didn’t call a timeout there, the ref imposed it; Gannon’s confusion was over why BB would choose to argue so much.
Painful to be reminded of: Gronk, Welker and Brady even though it’s possibly one of his top five worst career games.
A great watch, Freddy, Fitz, Stevie, Jones…Kyle, Merriman, Florence, Scott, Byrd. Moorman & Lindell. Funniest to me was Mr. Stoner Dareus making his notable individual contribution by getting his head bonked with the ball….
And no, I haven’t managed to check anything off my list…kind of like a regular game day w/o the cocktails…

Curse you OP! I have a looong list of things that needed to be done weeks ago, and I just spent most of my morning on quarters 1-3…
Plenty of fun and pain to go around watching this… but mostly all I can think is Freddy Freddy Freddy, where are you now?, it would be so fun to have you here on this much better version of the Bills. He is such a joy to watch… I’m trying my best to put it aside and ‘accomplish something’, as my Mom would say.
