Forget TW. DirectTV is cheaper, and has more channels in HD, and the Sunday Ticket.
My grandfather tried both DirecTV and Dish but neither company could get a proper installation with signal. Too much interference from the trees, I guess.
-
Is the contract LIN TV have with other providers the same, pricewise, as the one they are trying to get Time Warner to sign? Also, does anyone know if/how much the owners of the other local channels charge?
-
I HAVE DISH NETWORK WITH LOCALS AND I GET CHANNEL 4! I SWITCHED 2 YEARS AGO WHEN MY CABLE WENT OUT DURING A PLAYOFF GAME.... AND IT HAPPENED TO BE TIME WARNER!!
COULD YOU SAY THAT A LITTLE LOUDER PLEASE, I DON'T THINK I HEARD YOU!
-
I wonder if Time Warner can replace ch.4 with Rochester's or Erie PA's CBS channel?
My grandfather lives in Jamestown and has Time Warner. He gets Erie's CBS channel in addition to WKBW.

But on the other hand, there's a part of me that feels like no matter what this present or future Bills teams may accomplish, I'm always going to hold those early 90's teams in the highest regard.
That is extremely illogical.

Per Elias:
The Rams have lost each of their last seven games by at least 17 points, equaling the longest such streak in NFL history. That mark was set by the Dolphins as a second-year franchise in 1967.

We lost the first one in Tampa against the Giants. It would be great to win it against the Giants in Tampa.
Good way to start 4 consecutive Super Bowl victories
-
We beat Oakland, who beat Kansas City, who beat New England.
The Chiefs didn't beat the Patriots.

Facts is Facts.
We are only one of two teams at 4-0 and we have a two game lead in our division.
There are only 4 undefeated teams in the league.
1.5 game lead.

Since Baltimore is 2-0 right now and the Bills are 4-0 that gives Baltimore the edge. That's right, isn't it crayonz?
Baltimore doesn't have the edge because they're 2-0. They have the edge because they can still lose 4 NFC games. Right, crayonz?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THE FIRST 4 GAMES OF A SEASON ALWAYS DETERMINES A CAREER!
Ryan Leaf was 2-2 his first 4 games
Loser Peyton Manning was 0-4
so ha! LaDiarrhea is right everyone!
Yeah, perennial loser Jim Kelly was 1-3 in his first 4 games. Montana 0-4. Terry Bradshaw 1-3. Bob Griese 0-4. Bart Starr 1-3. Fran Tarkenton 0-4. Bret Favre 1-3. What a sorry bunch of pathetic losers.

I could've sworn last night philadelphia got a 5 yard illegal formation penalty and chicago got 15 yard roughing the punter penalty on the same play, and the penalties offset and they replayed 4th down from the same spot. I've played and watched football my entire life, and these offsetting penalties still confuse the heck out of me sometimes.
(3:47) 6-S.Rocca punts 49 yards to CHI 30, Center-46-J.Dorenbos, fair catch by 23-D.Hester. Penalty on PHI, Illegal Formation, offsetting, enforced at PHI 21 - No Play. Penalty on CHI-33-C.Tillman, Roughing the Kicker, offsetting.
-
Sorry, my friend, both penalties were on the Rams offense - Bills waived them both off.
Unless I am mistaken about which play you're referencing.
But I hear ya on your overall point.
(2:36) (Shotgun) 12-T.Green pass incomplete short right to 23-B.Leonard. Penalty on STL-76-O.Pace, Offensive Holding, offsetting, enforced at BUF 28 - No Play. Penalty on BUF-92-R.Denney, Defensive Offside, offsetting.

The jags are looking pretty good right now
Yeah, and their two losses come to teams that are now a combined 8-0.
-
Baltimore is undefeated.

I think it's great! Of coarse it really means the oddsmakers think The Bills are a point better on a neutral field...But I think it's the type of thing this Young Team can use as motivation...Make no mistake this is a HUGE Game in the grand scheme of things...If The Bills can steal another Road Win and go to 5-0 they are REALLY set up well for the remainder of the Schedule...They would have 6 remaining Home Games, and a 7-4 finish would all but assure them The AFC East Title and a Playoff Bye...
This is a HUGE Game...Then again the next one usually is...
Didn't you get the memo? Real fans would want the Bills to lose to Arizona next Sunday.

Tie-breakers be damned! 18-0 Baby, and squish the fish and the cheatriots along the way!
The Patriots went 18-0. It's that 19th win that's the most important.
-
3-1 is OK but obviously not as balanced as 2-2. I think we should root for two NFC losses to strike the best balance.
I would like to add a Marv Levy quote. That is chicken sh*t, chicken sh*t, chicken sh*t
3-1 is bad. We've already lost all hopes of making the playoffs thanks to our foolish choices of when to win. 1975 season all over again.
-
Well the tie-breakers almost always kick in. If they didn't happen last year it makes it even more obvious that they will happen this year.
I suggest you never go to a casino, because you're obviously susceptible to gambler's fallacy.
-
Dude. My original post uses the word inevitable. Please look it up if you don't understand it.
Dude, you're ignoring my post.
As for the inevitability of such a situation, tell that to last year's AFC playoff teams. Not one single tiebreaker.
-
I could be wrong, but I think he's saying that actual real NFL teams in the AFC would be better losing to NFC teams.
Although some fans got out of hand at today's game and they did lose to St Louis fans.
Nice catch. Fixed that.
-
Dude!
Please re-read the original post. It is a given that there will be a tie. So we might as well have a lot of AFC wins. I'm not saying the Bills should try to lose. I am saying that the real fans will root for them to lose to NFC teams. The tie braker rules may be stupid if they force fans to root aginst their own team, but they are the rules.
I would rather have the Bills in the playoffs and root for them in week 18 or week 19 than be happy about a win in week 5.
Okay, I'm going to assume you're actually being serious here. You're saying real fans should want their teams to lose to NFC teams so that in the event of a tie breaker their conference record will be better. The first major flaw in that is that those two things have nothing to do with each other. The second major flaw is that at the end of the year, Buffalo wouldn't be in a tie with that hypothetical team if they had won their NFC game instead of lost it, since they'd have a better record overall.

the penalty was announced as "Falling with his full weight on the QB"
It was announced as roughing the passer.

This is becoming one of my favorite message board threads of all time.
CONTEST Bill's net offensive total yards vs Ariz.

327 is the first thing that popped into my head, although I hope it ends up more than that.
