  1. After going 5-11 and looking this bad in week 1, I guess we are allowed to be pessimistic..

I mean honestly were you expecting this team to come out and light the world on fire in the first week? This team is not going to make the playoffs with this roster, and there are more then likely going to be more of these kind of games this season. It's not fair though to start blaming Gailey already and that this is all his fault.

  2. I asked Jackson if it stung more since he lost his job and didn't get a chance to compete for it, "Without a doubt, it was definitely hard to hear. At the same time you know it's a business and it happens so you have to just roll with the punches and then try to move forward so when you get a chance to get out on the field, you want to make the best of it."

  3. They forget quickly that they have the same QB that threw us the ball what seemed like a hundred times in their building last year. Are they really that much more confident in Sanchez not being awful? We'll absolutely get them at least once this year.

  4. All I can say is I wish he was on our team with Coach Gailey at the helm to develop him.

That's called the "it" factor...Haven't seen anyone have that swagger since Jimbo...

How do you have an "it" factor when you lead QB's in picks while having the fewest pass attempts of all the starters?

  5. Just threw another pick in the red zone. I get that most rookie-2nd year QB's can really struggle in this league because of how the adjustment curve from college to the pros, and more because you're on an attrocious team like the Lions Browns or us I guess. But this kid has no excuse being behind maybe the best line in football and having really good skilled position players to work with, and will be the reason the Jets are a wild card team at best this year. Even from watching Hard Knocks, the kid walks around like he's the best QB in the league and just acts way to comfortable and being so buddy buddy with his coaches.

    /rant.

  6. Again, I saw the guy last night, I saw his arms devoid of tricep and bicep muscles, and I thought about myself and the guys I see on a daily basis. He's small.

    I'm 6'3'' 230. He's small.

I lift with guys who are approx the same weight as me and an inch or 2 taller and they lift the same weight I do yet I look a lot bigger then them. Everyones muscles develop differently and will look differently based on their body type. Aaron Maybin maybe a POS football player but he is not small. Get off your high horse tough guy.

  7. Maybin played the entire game tonight.

    And I'm really glad.

He got tossed around out there. And I'm glad.

A year after being taken in the first round, he's on our roster at least until the end of this year. So if he gets tossed around for four entire preseason games, great. Let him take his licks. Based on how badly he was manhandled by the Washington first and second stringers, I'm guessing he doesn't even sniff the field during the regular season.

The dude is small. Not even for a professional football player, but for a grown athletic male, he's small.

If he gets nicked during the preseason gauntlet that I hope Chan continues to put him through, it will be the best thing for his career. He needs to take 11 months, and gain 40 pounds. Or else he's out.

6'4 250 roped out of his skull is small for an athletic male :wallbash:
