Fitz is only one aspect of this team that has not performed well and this does not reflect well on the coaching staff. Fitz said after the game that they had a good week of practice. Well that certainly did not translate to production on the field.
Every team has injuries, but why does it seem the Bills have more than other teams. Also, they are one of the worst defenses in the league because they still can't stop the run and still have no pass-rush.

The irony, of course, is that everything in that article was true back in August, when everyone was dumping on the team, its front office, its players, and its fans, and speculating about how soon the team would move to LA.
Amazing what winning a couple of games will do.,
Win or loose, there are many reasons why there’s no place like Buffalo in the NFL and even if in a 16 game season the Bills falter somewhat down the road to the playoffs, there is always next year.
Go Bills!

Today's untethered-iThing-wielding cyber-kids have no concept of what we had to go thru just to post on TSW back then...
Way back, I remember being able to post articles about the Bills directly on TBD. If anyone has a screen shot of that interface, I would love to see it.

for many years there has been a cycle where if you do not produce in three years (hopefully improve to over .500), you were replaced by the next staff and so on...what has been different with CHIX is that we seem to actually have a well-rounded staff that can draft and think on game days. There has not been much of that type of combination in Buffalo for a long time.
Go Bills!

Actually, it's Ithaca College, but I didn't go there. I went to a different university that's also located in Ithaca.
gotcha, it is Cornell University and Ithaca College. Nice and hilly there just south of Cayuga Lake.
-
The Bills should line him up like Wes welker - which should fit with Chan's offense.
-
The Bills will continue camp at SJF it was just announced.
-
Good article, we deserve a winner just like Green Bay deserves. Now let's go win the Super Bowl.
Not setting the bar too high - playoffs for both the Bills and Sabres would be nice.
-
That's funny. You basically called me an idiot by not calling me an idiot! Awesome. I don't know what to tell you guys, maybe it is an age thing. I'm 30, went to a darn good univeristy in Ithaca, and have never heard the expression outside of Bills talk. I really can't be the only one.
And my western experience...Unforgiven, Tombstone, Dances with Wolves, Open Range, Young Guns and remakes of 3:10 to Yuma and True Grit. No wagon circling in those!
You need to watch some older westerns like Bend in the River or Winchester '73 (and it is Ithaca University not "univeristy"?!?)
Both of those movies have "circle the wagons" scenes...
Go Bills!

The play calling has been designed for getting the ball out quick and it has helped having bigger receivers plus a big TE.
-
But he still left Larry Quinn in charge. Anyone remember the parade of players out of town starting with Drury? Remember all the schitt deals in free agency? Yeah, I want that for the Bills.
PTR
Kelly mentions he has a group of investors - maybe Golisano would be in that group (less than 50% participation or agree to let a football person run it would be okay).
-
Nice article about the Bills, its fans and WNY...My link Golisano is mentioned as a possible investor/owner.
-
where was the underneath coverage to prevent Welker from running the same short routes all game long
200 Plus yards - no one could cover him...we were lucky that the Bills came up with 4 Brady ints....seriously how many times do you think Brady is going to throw 4 ints...that is probably all he had last year.
-
Spiller will hopefully be the Wes Welker of the Bills...no, trading is not a good idea...

And Albany's LOCAL PRO sports team is..........???? Thought so. At least I HAVE a local sports team to idolize.
the River Rats?

Except for Devin McCourty
Should be a shout at Rich Stadium The Ralph.

If there is one thing to be learned, until the Bills beat the Pats (haven't in the last 15 tries), the Bills need to try harder.
The Patriots have not lost a game to the Bills since a 31-0 loss on opening day of the 2003 season (9/7/03). The 15-game win streak is the third longest winning streak over a single opponent in NFL history.
-
Having attended past Bills/Pats games (Pats 15 - Bills 0 -latest streak),there would be nothing better than a Sam Adams type play for Dareus (tip/interception/TD) against the Pats to get things going.
To the OP, the AFC East is tough and that means that the Bills most likely need to edge out the Jets, Pats and NE for a chance...thinking at least 10 wins?
-
Wes Welker is another weapon to watch for, but I would be starting Gronkowski on a fantasy team this week with Hernandez out.
-
The DBs should be okay, it is Woodhead, Gronkowski and especially Welker (Brady's relief valves) that have been hard to stop.
-
wow, thanks for posting...that play was a closer call than I remembered...and it appears that back then they didn't have a camera right on the goal line - even during a SB.
-
Best moments in person at the Ralph:
1988 - Jets division clincher game. You just knew it was the start of something special.
1990 - Denver comeback game where Biscuit returned the blocked field goal. Rich Stadium was freaking rocking.
1991 - AFC championship game vs. Raiders
1993 - the Comeback
2002 - Miami blizzard game where Moulds and Price both put up long TDs in the snow. Was my wife's first Bills game and first time in the snow (she's from SoCal).
Tried to get the comeback game on DVD at the Bills store at camp the last couple of years, but they didn't have it - even though they were playing it on their TV. They told me to look on EBAY - LOL.

I gotta agree, Chandler. It was a magical day. The weather, the mood of the whole country with Desert Storm and all and the Bills giving Schroeder and company a huge beatdown. An unbelievable feeling to know we were finally going to the big one.
That was great, and
was unbillievable. For me, it was the realization that the Bills were really in the SB.It was a good game also, even down to the last play...
-
Bills down by four, no time-outs and Odomes gets the ball back...the look on Marino's face was classic - as was the last play for HOFer # 12.
Update: this game was a while ago...(1989)

better than 51 - 0 ??........enjoy

The Bills and Fins appear to be going in different directions. Buffalo has dropped 2 straight while the Fins have won their last 2 games. Injuries have exposed the Bills lack of depth – but for Miami, Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett have started to gel.
Will the Bills be ready for Reggie Bush, Matt Moore and Brandon Marshall? The Bills have been giving 24 points a game to opposing WRs and RBs so far this year – which has put pressure on the offense to keep pace.
The Fins are favored by 3 points - which means this appears to be a pick game, but if Fitz and the Bills continue to misfire on offense, it could be another long day for Bills fans.
Miami is currently 10th in the league against the run – but 25th against the pass. It would great to see Spiller used more in the Parrish\Wes Welker type role. It would also be great to see Steve Johnson again - right? But Fitz has been looking a lot like a Kelly Holcomb recently – which means that hopefully the Bills will not have to play from behind and are able to show up on defense to start the game.
Go Bills!
