he is getting the job done. it seems the players love playing for him, thats key. he can be too conservative at times.jauron is in a good situation with the bills. it seems the whole organization has meshed well.

Dunno if it has all the facts, but they do understand the business more than many other publications. Here's what they say the two sides are asking for:
Now, as most of you know, I have a background in this area (as do at least a couple of other TBDers). So, I'm not simply blowing smoke. But, don't assume that my opinion is correct, because it is my opinion...but it comes from some experience in this area. Assuming the info in the article is true:
A penny a day, for the right to carry WIVB is probably slightly too high of a price to pay, for the cable system (and, ultimately the subscriber). However, the offer of NOTHING is obscene. Trust me, if this was ever forced to arbitration, TW would lose. I have no doubt about that. From my experience 10-15 cents, per sub, per month, would be a decent number for both sides. Now, some things have changed since I left the biz, and I wouldn't be surprised if some stations are getting a quarter, or more. But, since that is the price Lin is asking for, I'm guessing 15 cents, or so, is where they expect to settle.
If you want to know what GIANT BALLS are, according to the article, "Univision has caught the broadcasting biz's attention by floating the notion it will seek a $1-per-subscriber fee in its retrans deals, given the overwhelming share of the Spanish media market the network commands." Mingia!
I also think that offering ZERO is insulting, and takes not only balls, but no concern for the subscribers, whatsoever. Remember, this is a cable system that pays good money (far more than a quarter a month) to networks like Discovery Health, BET, Spike TV, ABC Family, truTV, Hallmark Channel...etc.
I have said it before, it takes idiots on both sides of this stalemate, to have a fiasco like this and BOTH sides deserve some blame. But, if TW is really offering nothing and hasn't budged, and you really have to have a bad guy or someone to blame...well they are it, IMO.

it all comes down to how well you block and how well you tacle. i'm the coaches talk to other coaches who use or defend against that type of offense.the key is pressure up the middle and being disciplined

Tent Dilfer RAVED about Edwards as a QB. He raved about Edwards accuracy and decision making and said this kid has a very bright future.
Also too Jay Cutler said recently that he had a stronger arm than John Elway and Brett Farve. Sterling Sharpe said that in the future if he's ever asked about Elway he should say "I shouldn't be considered in the same breath as Elway." IMO, good advice.

Want to see more points..... San Diego's defense is not good. We did a good job of ball control and this was the first game in a while where San Diego turned over the ball, so kudos to the defense.
Listening to Schopp and the Bulldog go on about TE is just way over the top. I too am very excited about him, but can I ask for 300 yards passing and 30 offensive points? Why is it considered such a big deal to score 30 points on offense.
Before you jump on me, check Miami's and Chad Pennington's #'s vs. SD two weeks ago..... 22/29 228 yards and 167 yards rushing and almost 37 minutes TOP almost identical to yesterday. I expect we consider TE better then Chad.
I am thrilled about the team, but not ready to have them deep in the playoffs yet, though I certainly think we can play against and beat Tennessee (easily as their offense is just not good) and Pittsburgh (if we can contain Rothliesburg).....
i guess the bills are being graded on with style points.it doesn't matter who you beat or how you beat them as long as you win. within the rules of coarse.trent edwards is playing very good football.schop and bulldog should be excited about the qb as we all are. sure they need to improve just like every other team. the nfl will find a way to have something every months of the year. january=playoffs,february=super bowl and pro bowl march= free agency and sprig games, april= draft and spring games may= otas' and spring ball june mini camps, july = training camps and so on. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

every game is huge in the nfl these days. i think the bills learned something in the arizona loss. they won't look past miami. the bills have more talent than the fins. bills win
