I know... I'm just not sure about the comparison.
brian was a smallish qb trent is taller i don't think sipe played for stanford. or maybe sipe was considered smart just as trent is who knows.

Brian Sipe? qb for the browns. i think he played late 70s early 80s
-
in due time his teamates will run through brick walls for him. he is a true leader on that team.
-
i can see 11-5 or 12-4

stroud makes the whole line look better

We learned that the line is not run blocking well. we learned the fact that turk shonert is a huge improvement over fairchild.

And an announcer will say
"They're not booing. They're saying BRUUUUUUUCE!"
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce # 78

Exactly. Evans may not want to sign, regardless of what the Bills offer him, because he could get a Clements deal on the open market.
I would guess that the contract will be based around the top two highest paid wr's in the league.
-
The Bills won't move JP My guess is the Bills are banking on nobody wanting Losman when he becomes a free agent. If no one wants him him then the Bills could sign him cheap. Just a thought.

I pay waaay too much money for a hole in the wall apartment in L.A., born and raised. Oakland is an S-hole. I concur.
I think all of california sucks to be truthful.I find the people to be boring. Very plastic and fake.I think Orchard Park High school could beat the raiders by 10.

I would love to see the bills dump these unis in favor of the old ones.

TE took 3 sacks yesterday; 2 of them cannot be blamed on our QB. Reason for concern? Not usually. Peters whiff seems to get the most attention and I think it's most unjustified. Sure it caused a turnover and could've cost us 6. However, Fowler's "pass blocking" in the 1st quarter was a whole lot worse. The idiot didn't bother to lay a hand on the DT who made a beeline to Trent and proceeded to pile drive him into the turf. That could've cost us the season right there folks. It's a miracle Edwards wasn't concussed on that play.
Ok, but I give the OL major props these past two games because they've been given TE illegal amounts of time to scan downfield and make accurate throws. When was the las time this happened? I'm glad this was a carryover from the preseason when he and JP had very high completion % and no picks during that time.
I think Fowler is the weakest link. I can't believe Duke can't compete for the starting role.

I think he was running away from marcus stroud lol

Can you iamgine how good Trent will be in a couple of years. He could be scary good.

Trent Edwards

I was at the game today.the finish was incredable. the fan reaction was awesome with the students storming the field. defense did look bad today . UB desereves any break it can get in football. I'll close my eyes next week.

LMAO good post. i thought he was better than advertised. Here's a summary:- Center flat on his back. Sack Stroud.
- Rgt Guard thrown to the side. Tackle for loss Stroud.
- Fullback craps himself and falls to the ground hoping for mercy. Sack Stroud.
- Guard watches a flash of blue fly past him while he's still in a 3-point stance. Tackle for loss Stroud.
- etc.

Edwards was efficient and did a great job after the miserable first half. Even during all the incompletes and pressured checkdowns, his biggest mistakes were being off target. No giant sack, fumble, or INT. He waited out his time till the defense let him make some plays. Totally unspectacular but highly efficient. As for your point about the O-Line, well, walker was totally invisible all day, which is exactly what you want your LT to be. Chambers, on paper, was totally outmatched, but he totally blew up patrick kerney all day long. The interior of the line was a little weak. Lynch had no holes to run through, especially on that first drive 3rd and short. With that said though, fowler played a good game. The bills were in shotgun a lot during the game and you have to give credit to the center for being able to snap the ball well, especially in the rain.
Parrish... Um, this dude is a monster. I really wanted to see parrish in the offense more, but he's just fine as a 3rd or 4th WR and a returner specialist. That TD return was ridiculous.
The defense... Well, where have you guys been for the past 10 years? the pre snap looks probably accounted for half of hasselbeck's crappy throws. They not only physically dominated, but they were mentally in a higher zone than the seahawks. There was no answer.
Finally, I do know that the bills have always had trouble in florida during september, but I see no reason why we can't beat the jaguars. The bills are a changed team this year... A much better team than we've seen in years.
great points. i couldn't believe what i was watching. jabare greer doesn't seem to show any reason to take him out in favor of mckelvin.they realy did have their mental A game today.i wish we had a beast of a tight end.

Royal is out of the woods yet.
He made that terrible play at the end of the half not getting out of bounds and still can't break a tackle. He goes down on ever first hit, a la Pete Metzalars.
any high school players to get out of bounds. does he think he is roscoe parish lol

its a nice way to start the season. they still have work to do to get better. run blocking needs to do a better job pushing the defense around. our special teams is gonna cause some sleepless nights for coaches around the league when they have to face the bills.

For Bills football or football in general?
in general

For some reason the 70's stands out the most in my mind. Maybe it was because I was young or the game was more exciteing . The steel curtain, the raiders, staubach ,o j , and grease. It will be interesting to see what decade gets the most props.
