    Just look at the play call with 32 seconds left in the half.   You come out of a timeout and call a run play.  What the ***** was that about.  This gave us only one shot at the endzone, instead of what should have been multiple tries at it.   

     

    Of course the very next play Josh Allen took that one shot, made an absolutely perfect throw, put it on Duke Williams and he dropped it.  

     

    This run call was the beginning of the end for this team in this game.  

     

     

    Yep, you're 100% spot on. And that conservatism/idiocy is on McDummy, and no one else.

    While your point is appreciated, you fail to address the one glaring issue: McD has a ceiling. We have witnessed McD's inability to competently manage a game all too often, with yesterday being the peak of that mountain by being outcoached by Bill O'Brien (omg!). If you want to start threads like this then you have to address the reality of our situation, that McD is fatally flawed. With McD at the helm, the Bills will have to overcome his incompetence every season, it won't be enough to simply be better than other teams (as we saw yesterday). The Bills will have to be better and get lucky....We are not is some great situation relative to other teams. We have an inept coach who will only succeed in spite of himself. 

     

    Next year, when the luck of having a cupcake schedule is gone, we will not be singing the praises of a guy who can't see the forest through the trees.

    Great post, and I agree 100%. It seems pretty clear too. Sadly, too many people in here have on their red/blue blinders. LOL

    It's mind numbingly stupid.

    I like what the Bills did this season, and it does APPEAR that they are a team on the rise, but we shall see about that.

     

    All the comments about McDummy are right on the mark. He seems like a good person, but as an NFL head coach, it's rather obvious that he's in over his head. 

     

    Lots of posts in here calling out Daboll for the puzzling 2nd half play calling, specifically throwing too much and not using Singletary more....and those posts are absolutely correct. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE HEAD COACH!? Isn't it HIS JOB to see that, and direct Daboll to change what he's doing?

    I think you're right. Titans receiver just caught a first down pass and clearly came down OOB, yet the official kept the clock running.

    Right.  No slants, screens, or any type of quick passes that will negate poor pass blocking.  The vast majority of our pass plays take way too long to develop.  Also, maybe I'm not noticing it, but where is the check down for when a pass rusher busts through the line unblocked?

    You know what though, there were a handful of plays in that game where JA had ALL day to throw, but still didn't connect with anybody for a sizable gain.

    Yep, I agree 100%. But others here are blaming the defense and giving a pass to Da-bum & McDummy.
