agilen Posted April 26, 2009 Share Posted April 26, 2009 I don't have the actual stats on this, but I feel like last year there were a lot of backbreaking 3rd and long conversions against our defense. (And maybe the year before with all of those bend-but-don't-break drives). If all this guy can do is make it to a QB in 2.5 seconds on 3rd and 10, I think he is an immediate impact player. Whether he matures into what a high 1st rounder should be will take a few years, but shutting down one or two big 3rd down conversions will be the difference between wins and losses next year.
