JoeCribbsCarWash Posted March 1, 2009 Share Posted March 1, 2009 This is assuming we are going to sign Coles to be our no. 2 WR but Williams could be had really cheap and he'd be the perfect red zone mentor for Hardy. he obviously picked the worst possible time to get busted with some chronic but he caught 10 TD's while stoned out of his gord apparently. Simmons is a little tougher but I did read his physical went well but a torn achilles is tough to come back from but 80% of him is probably as good as 100% of alot of guys out there. Both could be had for cheap and could turn out well for us. I also wonder if a QB like Cassell could be had for a 2nd rounder if we could get DE Peppers for a 2nd and 5th? If we could swing that and grab a TE in the draft I'd be ecstatic unless we believe we can get by with Schouman. In that case I'd go with the highest rated DE on the board at that point which could be Orakpo or Brown. Could you imagine a front four of Orakpo-Stroud-McCargo-Peppers??
