When will everyone realize that the problem with this team IS NOT OUR FREAKIN' RUNNING BACKS. Willis averaged 3.63 yards per carry today. Travis averaged 3.86. Combined, they had 23 carries for 85 yards. Some guy named Chester Taylor, who isn't as good as EITHER of our running backs, managed 89 yards on 21 carries. Why? Because our defense had to fear and respect their passing game? Yeah, right. Our offensive line sucks. Our quarterback isn't any good. So what difference does it make whether we start Travis or Willis? Either way, we can't put points on the board. Isn't that the object of the game when you are on offense? Hey, I got excited watching Willis play today. He clearly has come a long way, and if he's named the starter over Travis, I wouldn't blame the people who have to make that decision. But please, please, please, don't act like that's the answer. Whatever Travis can bring to us from week to week, Willis can do the same. And vice versa. But until our offensive line starts playing better, until our quarterback quits playing like a little B word, until our receivers quit dropping multiple passes, until we quit making so many mistakes with penalties, missed assignments, play-calling, etc....it matters very little whether or not we have #20 or #21 (or both) in the backfield.
