Since this wasn't a joint injury, they don't think it's going to hurt his draft stock at all. Is a Heisman worth risking $15 million? He'll probably be glad to go, as well. Most RB's, if they have any chance at all to leave early, will do so. They take 40 solid shots per game- there's just too many opportunities to get hurt. There's a slight chance he makes it back in time to light it up in a bowl game, too. Two-and-a-half months for a broken collarbone to heal is fairly realistic.
