A loss would mean an extra $100 bucks in your pocket, whereas a win would be like paying $100 for a win. I've actually applied similar logic to a potential Bill superbowl appearance in that I would happily pay $500 buck to see them win, and if they lose, I'm $500 richer. So if you are among those who think we will go less than 8-8 and you can find someone to take you on for a straight payout on a bet against them, its not a terrible plan.
