so i actually watched some of this game.  was ok i guess

 

maybe our canadian friends can answer this...how do you score 1 point in football?  :D

 

at one point i saw Hamilton had 1 point and later they had 2

It's called a "rogue point." If you attempt a fieldgoal and miss, but it goes out of the endzone, you get a point.

 

Buffalo would've tied SB XXV if we had that rule... ;)

 

Of course, the goal posts aren't at the back of the endzone in the CFL.

When I watched the game in the late 80s/early 90s (Go Eskimos!), they always pronounced it "Rogue." Is that a canadian thing? Doesn't make sense calling it "rouge," since that means "red." Red point? Rogue point, stealing a point from a field goal, seems to make more sense.

Only in Canada do you get rewarded for failure.
