Wilson should split duties

Russ Brandon and Tom Modrak would make an outstanding front office team at One Bills Drive. Brandon, who has been the VP in charge of Business Delvelopment and Marketing has obvioulsy done an outstanding job in that arena at Buffalo. Modrak has stated on many occasions that he would rather scout and evaluate talent than sit behind a desk and play office boss would give us a person who's sole job would be to evaluate talent and negotiate with palyers and their agents. This combination would provide the Bills with the best of both worlds. There would be a clear division of duties allowing each of them to concentrate on their areas of strength. Basically Brandon would fill the seats and Modrak would fill the roster. IMHO we need a Manager/VP who will spend his full time dealing with football only issues, and a Manager/VP who will spend his time dealing with business (read daily operations) and marketing issues only. Modrak would not be distracted by the non-football issues that TD has had (read chosen) to deal with.

I've thought all along that this is most likely scenario. It fits Ralph's MO.

Modrak has been a big question mark in my mind as well. I am hopefull that without TD around and Brandon taking care of his side of the shop we just might be OK. It also buys Wilson some time as to weather he wants to keep MM or bring someone else in, certainly Modrak can live with MM, but he could also ride his options out a wee bit longer.
