Kinda like a utility infielder/pinch-hitter. Although if Everett hadn't shredded his knee, he probably would have knocked RN off the roster.... If you remember in 2003, McGahee was on the PUP for the first 6 weeks of the season and did not count against the 53 man roster. I'm not sure he's exactly what we're looking at, but I feel comfortable he could do it in case of an emergency." Dosen't look like Mularky trusts Preston to do it full time.
