bizell
can a player be pass interfered/illegal contacted if he steps out of bounds before the alleged penalty, thereby making him an ineligible receiver of sorts? This happened on the Jordan Cameron/DaNorris Searcy "illegal contact" penalty in the endzone.

Miyagi-Do Karate
can a player be pass interfered/illegal contacted if he steps out of bounds before the alleged penalty, thereby making him an ineligible receiver of sorts? This happened on the Jordan Cameron/DaNorris Searcy "illegal contact" penalty in the endzone. I think there can be no PI or illegal contact if he stepped out of bounds first. But it's academic, because Searcy and Cameron were grabbing each other from right off the line, and the refs could justify the illegal contact call on that basis alone.
