Wagon Circler Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 For the Jet's game this week and their crazy blitzes: For us to win, we must make them pay for blitzing. I don't mean with the usual screens or draws, which they will be prepared for. Expect them to watch Spiller closely whenever he's in there on Sunday. But they have to back the DBs off the line of scrimmage by forcing the ball down field. Flacco on opening week and even Henne last week had good success with this. You can run isolations down the sidelines with Evans and Roscoe and put it up and see what they can do. This also plays to Fitz's strength. Don't forget, Jim Leonhard starts for them at safety and is not the greatest cover guy in the world. I don't expect a lot of room in the running game. Hopefully the weather is conducive to passing. Yeah sure, run alright, but pass deep to open them up because we do have a couple speed demons at WR's in Evans and Roscoe. And as far as the "D", please please please do not rush 3 or 4 and play 7 deep because Sanchez will have all day and pick us apart. BLITZ is the name of the game!!
