cmjoyce113
I am seeing quite a few people on this message board as well as others say "they better not have hired ...... with only interviewing 2 candidates" some say 3 but you get what I am saying. What makes anyone think the Bills haven't conducted 5,6, 10 interviews already? Buddy Nix seems to have a good reputation throughout the league and he is bound to know a lot of people. They kept the initial Cowher contact under wraps why couldn't they keep other interviews that way as well. Billick could be lying... maybe he has been interviewed, maybe Marty... only the guys doing these interviews know. I personally feel like if it isn't Cowher or Marty that get this job we aren't going to even know that the person hired was a candidate. I think it might come out of left field. This could be a good or bad thing in my opinion. I am just approaching this with the attitude of expecting the least and I wont be let down. After all ANY HIRE will be better than Dick. OldTimer1960
I'm thinking that the interviews are being handled like prank calls: Nix: Hello, do you know where the Bills play? Recipient: "Buffalo?" Nix: "I will give you $36,000/year if you would like to coach them" Recipient: "Uh, no thanks they suck on Madden 2010"
Sisyphean Bills
The process goes like this. <ring> <ring> "Uh, Hello?" "Hi, Coach. This is Buddy Nix calling from the Buff" <click> "alo Bills. We are ... uh, hello? Coach? Coach?" <dial tone> "Who's next in the White Pages, Russ?"
