More than anyone else the biggest failure in this organization is John Guy. Just look at some of the bigger busts who has been signed as free agents during his reign of error:

Matt Bowen

Derrick Dockery

Melvin Fowler

Kelly Holcomb

Craig Nall

Tutan Reyes

Robert Royal

Trey Teague

Larry Tripplett

Langston Walker

Jason Whittle

Just look at all the bad offensive linemen we signed with Guy as the guy.

 

That's an ugly list, but I think Craig Nall is the best QB we've had since Jim Kelly.

Problem is cap ramifications and how cuts this year can handcuff you

next year.

 

I don't think thats an issue for a couple of reasons.

 

1) The Cash to cap philosphy last couple of years. Not that I realy understand the whole thing, but I thoiught the premise was that bonuses etc would be taken in the year(or spread only over a couple of years) they are given rather than amortorized over the life of the contract..so when we cut people the cap hit should not be to bad.

 

2) Looking more and more like no cap next year.Not sure how cuts are going to be counted..but if no cap i would think guys can be cut with no implications
