At some point you have to stop only looking at the eye test (which Allen generally passes IMO) and start caring that his stats are near the bottom in basically every statistical category.  You need both stats and intangibles to be great and have sustained success.

What about his 4th quarter stats?  Yes he has a long way to go but realize the offense is still trying to gel, they don't have a true number one receiver as I think that would open the playbook a bunch!

Re: 2 - Who is saying this?  Otherwise, you're employing the classic straw-man argument.

Re: 1 - With NFL QB's set up to succeed through rules geared toward protecting QBs and WRs, how does throwing for 202 yards against a defense that, by seasons end, will rank dead last in a number of statistical categories represent "things he needs to work on?"

Miami entered today's game allowing 270 yards passing per game, have dealt their best S, and were missing their top CB today.

I'm still waiting for are #1 wideout but I agree he needs to work on his deep touch pass...

Give Atlanta our first round pick for Sanu and Freeman... ESKKETIT

Or keep are picks and get Antonio Brown a shrink and get him on a team friendly one year deal that's if he's cleared from charges but only first rounder I'd give is for Diggs or Julio Jones and maybe OBJ.. but sure that Brown could behave he would love to stick it to the Patriots owner! Pipe dream for sure though. ? p.s. no need for a running back with Gore,Singletary and Yeldon!

If the dude has any reputation for it, I’ll concede it fast

but he also just stopped a 6’5 and 240 lbs horse dead in his tracks. I think quite a few guys have that reaction after a massive hit that they “win” in a major moment.

I dont think there was much thought beyond “stop that dude” and “hell yea I stopped that dude”

Josh was already going down = cheap shot period!

What's up fellas! I been havin a busy summer this year with some people gettin uppity and whatnot and I just realized the football season is comin up.  I been following the Jets like usual and I knew they was gonna be real good but I had no idea how easy it was gonna be until this week.

I heard the Dolphins pretty much traded their whole team away and have that goofball that used to play for both our teams startin.  That don't matter much though cuz the Jets was gonna win dat anyway.  What supprised me was that your team team decided to tank and they traded the best player they got.  Why did your idiot GM do that?  I mean you guys mighta won 5-6 games if you kept Shady.   Now what maybe 2?  I think the Dolphins is gonna beat you out for Tua even then and youse are stuck again.

My cousin Angelo got some tickets for the opening week and invited me so I'm goin.  I asked him who we was playin and he was laughing so hard I couldn't make it out but then I looked in the paper and I seen it was youse.  You guys know I like you and all but I gotta admit I'm gonna enjoy the beat down.  It's been a long Summer since the last time we smacked you or anyone else.  I also seen we're playing you at the end and I won't be goin to that because it must be gonna be about minus 100 by then way up there.  Plus the Jets is probably gonna have home field locked up.

So good luck after this week if you have any healthy players left and I hope you beat the Patriots even though I have a feelin we won't be needin no help.

Well I'm glad you spoke your two cents of evidence that your a tad off your rocker but I'll let are coaching staff & GM make the decisions what's best for are team but good luck this year as we know both are quarterbacks are good and yes Shady will be missed but Gore is a straight ahead runner as shady is a bounce cut not a north and south runner like Gore and we have one of my favorites from the draft in Singletary also T.J. Yeldon who will chip in and help.
