  1. The D line played well in run defense but did not generate any pressure on the QB in the first half. They generated only 1 sack late. Rivers is a great accurate passer but I was surprised their OL protected him as well as they did. I thing all the 3 and outs happened in the second half. During the first half, the Chargers passing offense were beating our defense like a drum.

  2. Some fans have lowered their expectation for EJ so much that if he threw the ball near a receiver, then it was a good enough play. EJ constantly missed opened receivers. His throws were inaccurate. But the problem is more than his arm. One killer problem is his inability to see the field. The balls often went to the wrong receivers. If you can, go back to watch all the red zone series in the preseason, then you will know that if he threw the ball to the right guys, they would score many TD. Because of that, I don't see how EJ can ever be a good QB.

  3. The cutting of Cohen once again shows that the front office is living in another planet. I am so mad for him because the guy just did all he was asked to do. All the FO has to do is to let him start the Lions game and let him show you he can play. I think one of the reason we haven't made the playoff is our front office. I hope the new owner can see that and clean house when he gets the team.

  4. i'm sure its been asked and answered elsewhere, but a couple people now have implied that the trust will give a "hometown" discount to keep the Bills in Buffalo. Is this even allowed? Doesn't the trust have to give it to the highest bidder, regardless of their intentions to relocate the team?

also, people have listed multiple bids, along with the winner. i somehow doubt we will ever know everyone that submitted a bid, much less the amount....this isn't a public auction. in fact, we probably won't know that many details on the winning bid.

that said, i'm going with the Jacobs family. $1.12B. Although, I'm rooting for Pegula.

I read it somewhere that said the trustee is not required to take the highest offer. It is in the will.

I think $1.35B is the right price. I am assuming it is an open auction, not a blind auction. I think over a billion is too rich for Trump. If BJ's group want to pay $1.7B, plus the penalty and the construction of the new stadium in Toronto, the final cost will be way over $2B. Unless they don't care about making money, this will not be a good business deal.

  5. I love the trade. The front office is showing me that they are willing to take a risk. What you are seeing is youth. I think most Bills fans are programmed to think old school, too conservative, and too scared to do anything bold. That is the result of watching many years of Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, and Buddy Nix. I love the aggressiveness. I am also so sick of 7-9, 6-10 seasons. For those who complained about the lost of the first round picks, do you remember what we did with first round picks? Go look it up. If you believe in this front office, then trust the decision. If you don't believe in them, then those first round picks will turn into Maybin, Mike Williams, McGahee, Losman, etc. Make up your mind.

  6. I am sick of the QB experiment. Pick the best QB every year until we find THE ONE. Fifteen years of missing playoff should teach you something. No QB, no playoff. I am not saying EJ definitely won't be good. I am just sick of waiting.

  7. I predict Manziel will not only be drafted in the first round, but he will go in the top 5. If, for whatever reason Manziel falls to the Bills pick at #9, they should not think twice but to pick him up right the way! This is a gamble that is well worth the risk, Players like him comes every 10-15 years. You can pick up good lineman, receivers, linebackers from practically every draft. But good QB is rare. If Manziel turns out to be a bust, the cost is one fiirst round pick. But it he pans out, we will be set for the next ten years. You have plenty of chance to pick up players for other positions. After saying that, I think there are plenty of teams that would love to pick him in the first round. But the GMs are downplay how good he is to try to make teams like the Bills think they can stay put at their own spot and still has a chance to grab him. He won't drop pass #5, and quite possibly that Houston may take him at #1.

  8. Don't do it (regarding drafting Watkins)!! UNLESS the Bills only want to keep him for 4 years. One word, Parker! You know the rest.

If we draft him, we have to make him sign a 10 years contract. I don't care how talented he is, I want to draft players that will stick around, not a dick like Byrd.

  9. @JeffRussoWKBW

#Bills Byrd says critics are a part of the NFL.. Knows his character ... Ready to go play for his teammates

At this point, Byrd appears to me to be a selfish jerk and a lair. His character is seriously in question.

    .

Unfortunately, the Bills have to get rid of Byrd at this point. His value over the next few weeks is as good as it's going to get. After the trade deadline then what? Franchising him again next year would make absolutely no sense unless he were to show Ed Reed level skills to finish the year out. I just don't see that happening. The Bills need to take the best offer regardless of what it is and have their closure.

Your thinking is inline with the Bills front office, which is to trade all your pro-bowl players for 4th or 5th round picks. Panic time!! That got us how many playoff appearances in the last 13 years?

  10. I don't even care about Byrd right now. Leonard is playing great . If Bryd wants to be a pu$$y then have fun on the bench. With his professionalism, even if he suits up, I am not sure that he will give his 100% anyway. Like some of you have said, why would he risk injury on a one year deal? Right?

  11. Trading down a few spots would be nice but other teams for some reason don't like trading with the Bills. If they can manage to trade down to 15 to 18 spot, take Manti Te'o. I know he has a bad bowl game and his girl friend hoax, but he has a long track record of being the best ILB in this draft. Pick him up at that spot would be a steal. Then pick up a QB with the next pick. Third pick should be a lineman, preferably a C/G for backup. Then I would look at receiver, OLB for the last few spots.

  12. Exactly, let's stop reaching in the past to resolve current problems. No Jim Kelly, No Bill Polian. Let's get some young talent or maybe give Doug Whaley a try at GM.

I am for Bill Polian as GM. Doug Whaley is part of the front office now. If he is so good why am I not seeing it?

Polian at least has been involved in football. He will be more up to date than Nix.

  13. Once again, the traders are out in full force. Tebow for a 4th? Are you kidding? If that is the case, we should trade Fitz for a 2nd round pick! Nobody would give up a 2nd round pick for Fitz? No kidding! Why would any team give the Jets anything for Tebow now? Unless you are the Bills or some Bills fans. Tebow is done!

  14. This is how it came down.

    - Bills lost close game when they should have won, led to the conclusion that Fitz sucks.

    - Gailey protection for Fitz led to Chan Gailey sucks.

    - Buddy Nix said he wants to keep Gailey as HC led to Buddy sucks.

    - Ralph tried to hire a good coach but nobody came knocking so he hired Buddy who hired Chan Gailey, and that led to "Ralph is too old and too clueless, why wouldn't he just sell the team to Jim Kelly, and yeah, he sucks too."

So, if they would have won more games then nobody would suck.

However, in reality they all took their turn sucking. If it wasn't the poor defense, it was the poor QB plays, or bad play calling from the coaches. That's why every week we can calling for someone to be fired. But who to fire is different from week to week. This team is just so darn inconsistent, even in the sucking department.
