  1. Problem is John - this front office is acting like finding/drafting/signing a pass catching TE is against their religion. I just don't get it. In our division, it has been proven again and again by teams like the Patriots, Dolphins and now the Jets that the middle seam is open for the taking. The defenses are not willing to give up the outside and the front to run. So that leaves a zone right past the run D zone where if you have a a guy open, you can pick at it all day. Plus that's Edwards' game.

You can find a top notch WR in the later rounds or even FA. But a good quality TE is a necessity in Rds. 1-3. The notable exception is Gates from San Diego who was a FA signing.

    C

Of all the good TE in college this year who would you take in the draft.

  2. It's not a scheme problem. The Tampa-2 is an effective defense when run correctly, the problem is we run it like sh--.

Without a pass rush, teams will continue to play pitch and catch and move the ball at will. If a scheme change isn't the answer we need some blitz packages or something.

  3. Beat Cleveland, SF, and KC and win 2 division games and that's 10 wins. If we get 10 wins with no running game or pass rush I'd say that wouldn't be a bad year. That may even get us in the playoffs!. Just saying don't jump ship yet, and I agree we are better than we have played the last couple of weeks.

  4. I think some people forget this is a young team that still is learning how to win. The core of the team is young so they can be expected to get better. Don't be so quick to turn on them. As bad as they played they were still in the game late. Look at the schedule, if we split with the division and beat KC and SF that's 10 wins. That would be at least good for a wild card. Just don't give up on them yet.

  5. Why do people feel they have to rag on the few players actually doing their job? How about Corey McIntyre who whiffed his block when TE was sacked and fumbled? How about Jason Whittle totally oblivious of a Jets blitzer as he ran right by him? How about our fat tub-of-lard O-line that is so bad we have to abandon the running game so defenses just tee off on our pass game? How about or D-line that gave Favre all day?

Edwards had his share of bad plays but he didn't cost us the game. You think JP would be better? The AZ game proved otherwise. This team will never do anything until we fix our lines. That's the bottom line. Nothing else works until you do that.

Could not have said it better, so I won't.

  6. Once again, you are way off base. Let me try to explain....

While you were in college, having sex, getting high, losing your temper, etc., did you ever beat up an infant? I ask because doing so is not the same as shoving your girlfriend, which is not at all good. We are talking about a defenseless baby. Can't you see the difference?

I am not judging you. This is about a guy who kicked a baby's ass. Don't you see?

Didn't see the article either, but would like to know if it's true. Can you tell me where to find it?

  7. He's from Rock Hill, SC.. that's good enough for me!

Oh yeah, having got his autograph last week helps too!

Seriously, he played solid his rookie year. He didn't get a chance to break a sweat last year. This year is key. Everyone who knows him here in Rock Hill says his ankle is 100 %, Most importantly his mama says it is 100 %, so he'll have to prove it on the field. Important year for Ko!

    Go Bills! GO Ko!

From right below Roch Hill in Chester and watched him in high school and at USC. He's definitely a legit safety, with time he'll show everyone why he was the steal of that years draft.

  8. Its not that we are looking for players who are "choir Boys" or Saints off the field, the type of players some of us, and the Bills FO wants are players that give it their all on the field, and are team players, they aren't me first guys like Chad and Owens. Those players are highly talented, and are great when the team is consistently winning but once they start losing, they are worse then a team cancer, they are more like full blown team Aids. Moss wanted to go play for the Raiders, and was happy at first, once they became the league doormat, he stopped caring and stopped playing wanting out. Owens forced his way out of SF, and then went to his choice, teh Eagles to play with his buddy McNabb, whom he threw under the bus when the team stopped winning. Just wait til Dallas starts to decline. Chad Johnson is a poster boy for a me first player, caring more about what his next routine will be when he scores a TD, and what he will tell the media afterwards. He doesn't care if his antics will cost the team a penalty, as long as he ends up on the highlight reel that night.

The thing about players with offseason issues is that they may be good, but how much will they help if their off field antics cause them to end up in rehab, suspended, or in jail? How is that going to help the team?

Ocho Cinco me first, I can't believe you wpould say that about 85. All jokes aside maybe a little arogance is what we need on offense. One positive though is he more a attention seeker than a trouble maker.

  9. He hasn't been projected to go in the second by anybody since he blew the combine up. This guy is Plaxico Burress, but faster and less injury prone. I'd be very happy with Either Malcolm Kelly, Limus Sweed, or James Hardy. Its just that Hardy seems to me like the guy that everyone is gonna regret not drafting.

I agree, Hardy seems to be a future #1 receiver not just a #2, which would do wonders for the Bills offense. I think other teams realize this as well and there is noway he last to the second round. I also don't think he will be around if we trade back with Dallas.

  10. How do you know Kelly will last past pick 12, much less to pick 22?

Two years ago, the Bills just went ahead and selected Whitner at #8 instead of trading down and "taking a chance that he'll still be there later." A lot of people supported that decision (were you one of them?) because it wasn't worth "taking a chance."

So if the Bills are in the same position this year whereby they've set their sights on a player (Whitner in '06, Kelly in '08), why would they trade down now? Why are you so confident the Bills want to trade down?

Why are we locked in on Kelly, I don't see a great difference bwt him and a few other 1st rounders. Not a knock on him but I think Sweed will be just as good!

  11. Take Peterson, and worry about te rest later. If he falls he will be the steal of the draft. A few years down the road everyone will kick themselves for not taking him. Don't forget we need a solid back to play well in Buffalo conditions. Willis will be a nice player, but Peterson has the chance to be a legend. If we don't get a back this year we need to figure out how to get McFadden from Ark. next year.
