  1. The point of the post wasn't that he was good or bad. Just that it looked to me that they must be thinking about moving from him. It seemed odd that he played late in the final pre season game and that they kept six backs if he was #2. Once Seymour got traded. I thought he might be next up. Apparently no takers so they cut him. 30 pages later I guess what I really provided was a thread for frustrated fans to get out a needed vent.

  2.

This is close to the top in entertaining threads : The OP gets hammered for twenty-odd pages, then oops..........

As for the move itself, it makes no sense except that the new guy is determined to rip apart everything his predecessor did.

Now that's a process we can all understand and trust, right?

I did get hammered. Its tough being the smartest guy in the room.

and to think I was going to reply to this thread this morning for its stupidity.... sorry Nostradamus!

    Apology accepted

  3.

Are you serious???? This would be so stupid.

    I was serious

They make a few trades and suddenly its a fire sale at OBD.

Come on people get a grip, there is no comparison from a fringe 5th 6th depth corner that was a possible cut and your second string RB.

    Some of you are delusional..

I agree but it is over reaction Sat/Sunday ;).

Next is a torch and pitch fork march to OBD to demand Wrex and Whaley are brought back ;)

  4. First of all they should trade Tyrod. I'm not quite sure why they would just release him if they decide he is not their guy. In fact they should tell the agent to explore trade opportunities. If contract is so friendly and there are so many suitors if he was free -- then some team should be a willing partner. Second is the compensation is not going to be anything significant unless the Bills do this and get some bidding. If Browns do like Tyrod then they would make offer before he gets on market and contract price goes up. That being said if we get the first pick in round 4 that would be a win for Whaley.

  5. i could go on for hours...the talent accumulated is ridiculous...regardless of the results...but to me best part is Whaley knew he had to address the QB situation. Rumors all over trying to get second pick...Denver wants Tyrod..blow it all up, etc. Whether you like Jones or not..DW figures out how to swing for home run, and give both qb's vote of confidence..we're ready to roll into year two of this...tyrod go earn 20 million. EJ go earn a second contract. He figured out how to keep EJ and give him one more shot. I'm not saying come September we don't have Hoyer or somebody backing up, but picking a qb at two would have been a disaster. The draft isn't all about accumulating talent, it's also about motivating the talent you have.

  6. I'll ask again... isn't opening week usually with a team in the final 4?

Dallas opened 2012 season at Giants after they beat Pats in superbowl....Dallas did not make playoffs prior year---obviously it was a division game...the game actually was on a Wednesday because of Obama and the democratic convention was too big of a tv opponent on Thursday that year....i understand we aren't Dallas but to dismiss and say bills have no chance is ludicrous.

  7. I totally agree....Im not sold BB thought he would get a interception from Butler, but he was going to try to stop three plays and make them use their one time out..and most important not give them a chance to regroup or figure anything out...unless clock was already stoppped....if hawks ran on second down and called time out...third down would no doubt be a pass setting up fourth down--the issue is seattle for a split second when making a quick decision was more worried about making sure they got three more chances in 20 seconds instead of just scoring the touchdown....but that's what happens in big situations, things don't always go the norm....same thing with green bay...yes the guy was supposed to block and let jordy nelson recover on side kick...but super bowl was on the line so he just decided to grab it...here obviously Marshawn run was the way to go....but instead it became--make sure we get four cracks....and by not calling time out...BB lured them into a play they shouldnt have run....the question to ask pete in future if it was fourth down--what play do you call....and it would have obviously been marshawn

  8. Unless he has told everyone he is not leaving Duke, I really don't understand how he is not being looked at by most teams in search of a coach. The perfect fit for him is actually Atlanta, given his southern roots and qb in place there. Based on the situation, he would work here as any young, first time coach would have backlash from those who wanted Schwartz, especially Schwartz. Not to mention, the guy flat out knows how to manage game situations, just watch the Duke-ASU bowl game from last month....Duke is totally over matched from a talent perspective...he keeps his team in game, they take lead in final minutes, only to have kick return take away victory, then puts together a final drive and almost steals back. He knows how to manage the clock, when to punt, and to have Schwartz as (new title--associate head coach) defense, would allow him to concentrate on his side of the ball.

  9. This is exactly what bills should look into. He is highly intelligent, well respected. Schwartz will not have issues "losing" to him unlike to Josh Mcdaniels or young coordinator. Just watch the decision making in bowl game vs ASU this past year. Duke was over matched talent wise and he had his team on the verge of victory except for a kickoff return...then still had a several chances from inside red zone to still win. The fact that they are interviewing Greg Roman and whoever else shows that they really don't have any idea what they are doing.

  10. I was seven, it was my first game ever attending. Dad thought transit road was best route, but traffic tie ups cost us entire first half. So we were listening on radio as herb mul-key ran back kickoff for touchdown then finally walking into stadium then getting to our aisle and seeing shiny green turf, bright lights and marching band--its all still vivid in my mind forty years later..hard to believe its been forty years. I went to nearly every home game from 1973 to 1983 before graduating high school. I will always remember August 17, 1973. instant die hard fan from that moment on.

  11. I literally lived around the block from him...I'm about six years older and clearly remember him being about ten and playing basketball in his driveway with his father who was pretty long and lanky.....while the rest of us bigger kids played street hockey or tackle football...and he went by Tommy then..I went off to college so never saw him since he was about 12...also to clarify not village but town of Hamburg off Taylor rd...

  12. There is no question in 2012...t Jack is better than vy...the only question is if he is better than Fitz...which we may find out...also note first half of season very difficult, last half easy...sets up nice for relief pitcher to shine

  13. Is this guy any good? Who has he played for?

This site is so sad sometimes....really you want to know who has he played for so you post? How about reading an article if you don't know....he has better record than Fitz and probably better overall qb rating...he has always been jerked around benched for favre...he kicked our ass after moats took favre out... He isn't a Manning but dropoff from Fitz is not much...and argument could be made he is better
