Miami will be praying that the Colts win tonight. They won’t want a return ticket to Orchard Park.

Stills is the insurance policy.
Good cover for Beasley or any WR injury or Covid absentees in the next 5 weeks.
Look what happened to the Browns last week at the Jets.

My preference is 1pm on Saturday because I can't wait !
And more rest before the Divisional Round the following weekend.

The dude is the best backup QB in the league. He’s on the last year of his contract in Miami and a UFA next year.
Bring this fan favorite back to win a ring next year...after we win the first one this season. 😉
An upgrade for sure.
But expensive and the Bills have more pressing needs for those cap dollars.
Also Fitz may prefer an option where he sees more potential game time.
Barkley seems to have a nice chemistry going with the team. Let's see him in action in week 17.

He was a good special teamer and a 5th WR but he would not have made the roster next year.
and next season we need to find a space for Isiah Hodgins returning from IR.
So thats our top 7 WRs sorted already assuming they all return. Mix of experience and youth.

My Christmas wish list...
KC loses out and Steelers and Bill's win out!
Yes I know thats a lot to ask. But in a 3-way tie KC would be first out as they would have worst division record at 4-2. Steelers and Bill's both 5-1. That would drop KC out. Then it reverts to a two way tiebreaker....Bills have head to head over Steelers.
Sorry Dafan. The tiebreaker doesn't work that way when determining seedings.
Divisional records would be disregarded to separate teams with same win/loss records playing in different Divisions inside the AFC.

Our first possession in Tennessee ended when Andre Roberts tipped a pass into the hands of a Titans defender.
Our WR Corp looks a heck of a lot stronger now.
Doubt Roberts will get another target from Josh unless we rest all the starters in Week 17.

Fromm isnt winning a playoff game dude, the poor guy hasnt had a single live rep as a pro, and hasnt even run our starting offense in practice.
I guess he could have a longshot if we were home with crowd noise helping our defense and we win a super low scoring game, but vs a playoff team in a quiet stadium it would be ugly.
I agree with the earlier poster, give Barkley the work to knock the rust off in case he needs to fill in. This year for Fromm is just a redshirt type classroom season.
Fromm sounds perfect.
We may want to lose the Week17 game to ensure a Play Off game against Miami. And eliminate the Ravens (even if they win out) in the process

Lines this morning are GB -3.5, PIT -2.5, and BUF -7. I think the chances of clinching the #2 seed this weekend are probably 50/50. I think the Stillers are in a free-fall and Indy feels like the favorite. Buffalo should win. The game that is the most “iffy” is GB-TEN. Could absolutely see TEN winning that one.
TEN winning at GB makes no difference as long as Bills win, Colts beat Pitt and Browns beat Jets.
That’s because Steelers play Browns in Wk 17 so one of those teams finish 12-4. Bills win any 3 or 4 team tiebreaker at 12-4.

Bills played the toughest schedule, lost to the Chiefs missing one of their key defensive pieces [MIlano] and Tremaine was also not 100%. Titans game was an aberration -- NFL disrupted schedules and rewarded the team that didn't follow the protocol.
Yes, but if it's cold and nasty, Henry is a granite bowling ball.
The Titans game started with Andre Roberts tipping a good pass by Josh into the hands of a Titans defender.Andre is now WR6 or WR7 on the depth chart and won’t see the field besides returns. The Titans will notice the difference if we play them.

I’m not sure how there is a theoretical chance.
worst chiefs can do and best bills can do is 13-3 with head to head tiebreaker win for chiefs right?
You would need the Steelers to win out to finish 13-3 also. Our head to head with KC is disregarded and it goes on Strength of Victory. We need a lot of help.

Not necessarily. If the Bills and Titans and one other team all finish 12-4, the Bills end up winning the tiebreaker in most cases. And I would bet one of Cleveland, Indy, and Pittsburgh will end up 12-4.
Correct. And with the Browns finishing with the Jets & Steelers you would think they would finish 12-4 also.
So with a win in Foxboro we can still field the back ups against Miami. Perfect.

Some teams can deal with Prime Time games. Others not so well.
As someone once said “it’s on to New England !”

We would need Tennessee to lose also to make week 17 meaningless in that situation...otherwise they could take the #2 seed with a win and us losing to Miami.
Tennessee travel to Green Bay next week. That might help us.

We wont be the #2 if we lose to Miami though will we? Unless Steelers lose out I'm guessing? What about Cleveland and Titans also?
If it’s a 3 way or 4 way tie with Browns, Titans & Pitt at 12-4 the Bills get the #2 seed.

It's kind of fun to play with the simulator but to me it looks like winning out is our best chance at avoiding Baltimore, if we want to avoid them. I assume most other playoff contenders win as well.
If Indy wins next and we win against Pats, a loss to Miami the following week I think we play Baltimore either 2 vs 7 or 3 vs 6 depending no matter the outcome of Cleveland Pitt.
If Pitt wins next week, we probably avoid Baltimore and could play Indy, Cleveland or Miami.
If Miami beats LV & the Bills back ups then they get #7 seed and the Ravens are out. Miami then get to visit the #2 seed which should be us.

Finley is such trash
To be fair he is the third string. Let’s hope we don’t have to see Jake Fromm this year.

Even if Pittsburgh win I think we have seen enough to suggest they won’t beat the Colts & Browns. The #2 seed is still ours for the taking.

I was not taking 3 way tie. Just Bills Titans
Browns have got Jets & Steelers. They look good for 12-4.

Titans have edge on us if same record potentially at 12-4. So we would have to win out if they do also to go 13-3 vs 12-4.
Not if it’s a 3 way tie between us, Titans & Browns. Bills will be #2.

Thanks for the correction. And yes...you are correct on your hypothetical.
That assumes the Steelers win either tonight or against the Colts. Seems unlikely. Browns must be favorites to win the AFCN. Bills look good for the #2 seed at 12-4 even with a loss to the Dolphins if we rest our starters. That could set up a Wildcard against the Dolphins. Sounds perfect.

Patriots at Bills 2021 Wild Card (as requested)

Assuming the Chiefs win on Saturday and get #1 seed. Then the Bills smash the Patsies on Sunday, the Jets beat the Dolphins, Browns beat the Steelers and the Jags beat the Titans then in the Wildcard the Bills get to host the New England Patriots again.
