  1. WR is the Bills biggest need on offense, even greater than right tackle. They really have no one besides Sammy that you would want to start on the outside. Woods is pretty much a lock to be our slot guy with Hogan gone. Given that the Bills were sniffing around Boldin, it would not surprise me at all if we took Treadwell or Doctson with our first pick.

Edit: Jim Monos also said this http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-news/2016/1/20/10796944/buffalo-bills-jim-monos-no-2-wide-receiver-robert-woods-percy-harvin

"Percy Harvin was supposed to be a big help for us, and we're still not sure what's going. He's got to make some decisions here coming up. But we need to get someone opposite of (Sammy Watkins) to be a real threat to that defense," Monos told Murphy. "I still think that's a big key for our offense to take one more step."

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- A poll by Public Policy Polling found that a surprising number of Florida voters believe Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz could be the Zodiac Killer.

While a 62 percent majority of voters answered "No" when asked if they believed Cruz was responsible for the string of murders in the early 70s, 10 percent answered "Yes" and an additional 28 percent said they were unsure.

Several reports say the rumor stems from a speech Cruz delivered at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2013 titled "This is the Zodiac Speaking" and has become popular again since he began his presidential campaign.

  3. We have to replace 3 backups and a 2015 no show.

    Agreed

Releasing McKelvin, Mario, Urbik, and even Dixon means those guys need to be replaced. Who on the roster is there right now? And if you're talking about the draft, are rookies going to fit the bill? Doubtful.

I'm sure you'll say the cap necessitated these moves, and they did. Which means they've badly mismanaged the cap in a go-for-broke 2015 which hurt them in future seasons.

A NFL team doesn't win 6-9 games the last 5 seasons by accident. Then again, you've proven incapable of constructively criticizing this franchise.

Mario was the only one of the people you listed that was a starter. You're criticizing the Bills for replacing expensive backups with draft picks, which is what every successful organization does.

  4. This thing is going to be awful. Sony is already deleting comments trying to stop people from talking about how ****ty it looks. The original Ghostbusters worked because almost everyone who touched the movie was a comedic legend. Harold Ramis is one of the greatest comedic directors of all time, while Akyrod and Murray are both legends themselves.

  5. Fingon, you're probably right, but that's not the point. The point is the Falcons are not allowed to ask those types of questions and open themselves up for a lawsuit. It's none of their business if the guy is gay or not, even if asked in jest. The coach who asked that question needs to go back to HR training.

I agree with you, I was just pointing out to people that he's not as stupid as people in this thread make him out to be. He's a good player, and I don't think this will hurt his draft stock at all. It's such a stupid question that most teams are probably dumbfounded that the Falcons even asked it. I'd imagine the majority of the league are having their legal teams brief the scouts on what they can and can't ask during the interviews.

  6. Conjecture.

If I were suffering from an orbital fracture, getting to the hospital would be my first concern. Playing cellphone tag with my supervisor at 2 AM would be low on the list of things to do.

(also, these were not patrol officers with someone on duty 24/7 to call)

There was a third uninjured officer who did not file a police report until two days later. Also, these things called "conjecture" create something called "reasonable doubt".

  7.

That's quite a change in tone from his previous interview, isn't it?

From "vicious unprovoked attack" by "McCoy and his clan" and claims they were acting as police officers and "all out beat down"

    to

"I think if they can come to a resolution on this quickly and put it behind everybody, they’ll probably be better off, both for Shady and our guys. Let’s get a quick resolution, don’t let it linger around."

The FOP President is worried that facts will come into the light that won't portray his officers very well. It's pretty obvious that a serious breach in protocol happened when they waited for the hospital to report the incident hours later. We already have a defense attorney who was pretty stunned that they waited so long, I'd imagine McCoy's lawyers are all over it.

Ah, OK, I think I see where you're coming from, but you're missing that the adminstrative hearing process is one-sided in its "due process" regard. From this article:

A regular Title IX hearing treats the accused and the person who reported exactly the same in terms of who gets to present evidence, question the evidence, have a lawyer present, and cross-examine witnesses. The lawsuit calls the UAPA "one-sided" and says it is a tactic used repeatedly "to delay and altogether avoid sanctions and discipline for sexual assault." The UAPA, unlike a regular Title IX hearing, "allows only accused perpetrators of sexual assaults (and not victims) to have the right to confrontation, cross-examination, and a right to an evidentiary administrative hearing."

A vice-chancellor and a director of student judicial affairs have voiced concerns and resigned/been fired over concerns about this process and the UT environment.

I don't know what the right or wrong of the case is, but I'm quite certain it's not as "no basis" as you think. Based upon the above, the ladies have a valid point.

I wouldn't make a good any sort of attorney but that's another story.

The timeline of the pattern matters, WEO. If I were trying to prove BigCompanyX had discriminatory hiring practices today or over the last 4-5 years, I wouldn't bother going back 20 years unless I could show that exactly the same people were making hiring decisions. Usually over 20 years, there's a lot of turnover, and the defense would simply point to all the changes and argue that "20 years ago today Sargent Pepper taught the band to play" is not relevant to the last 4-5 years. It weakens the case. I would need to look at and demonstrate a pattern of behavior over a relevant timeline.

If many of the administrators and officials have been there for 20 years, well, that would be different then.

It took 30 seconds of googling to prove those claims wrong.

  9.

    You doubt this because?

I'm sure the Judge will appreciate the argument that providing due process to the accused amounts to creating a hostile sexual environment. This lawsuit has almost no basis in reality, even saying that playing a Lil' Jon rap song during games promotes rape culture.

The plaintiffs say that UT’s administrative hearing process, which is utilized by public universities across the state, is unfair because it provides students accused of sexual assault the right to attorneys and to confront their accusers through cross-examination and an evidentiary hearing in front of an administrative law judge. The administrative law judge who hears the case is appointed by Cheek, the lawsuit says.
  10. The DA definitely has a problem. 100% guaranteed the standard operating procedure for aggravated assault isn't to wait until hours later, after the witnesses have gone home, to report it. They're cops and they can't make a quick phone call to get people down there to start taking names/addresses of witnesses? Seems to me that the delay is intentional, in order to give them time to rehearse their stories and make witnesses far harder to find.

  11.

Just to be clear, Beerball, and not intending to weigh in on other comments, there were two settlements with confidentiality agreements:

    1) when Naughright left Tennessee in 1997, settlement by university for $300,000 to which Manning was a party (signed confidentiality agreement

    2) settlement to lawsuit Naughright filed 2 years after Manning published his book, after Florida University dismissed her and she apparently cound not find other employment, amount not to my knowledge disclosed (2003)

Now apparently there is a new lawsuit against UT alleging a hostile environment that violates Title IX.

Somehow I doubt that lawsuit is going anywhere.

  12. Why is that? I truly don't understand where you are going in this thread. Do you think:

    All cops are liars?

This particular cop is a liar?

    McCoy is a good person?

Why do you seem to be so supportive of McCoy? At best, his behavior is going to hurt the football team that you support so much. At worst, he and his mob intentionally injured other people in a drunken rage.

If you are not defending McCoy, I AM sorry for the mis-interpretation my old friend. :)

The cops have hired defense attorneys, and are obviously gearing up for a civil suit. It's standard operating procedure to exaggerate and make up injuries before a civil trial. The severity of injury is directly related to how big of a payout they will get.

I think Graham underachieved in all aspects of Safety play last season. I remember him missing several key tackles in run support beyond his obvious struggles in pass coverage as evidenced by the JAX and PHI games. I would definitely like to see an upgrade at the position to partner with AW.

It's funny you say that, because PFF has Corey Graham as the best tackler in the NFL.
