  1. and guess what? Not one singal mention of the Buffalo Detroit game!?! The show was being broadcast from Chicago. Do you think Bears fans want to know what the outcome of a game in their division might be? ESPN is a joke!
  2. OK nobody loves the Bills more than I do. I did hear the broadcast on the way to work this morning and I think some of the points mentioned were valid. Based on what we saw last year and the fact that a lot of the players are the same, if you factor in a new head coach with a sketchy win loss record and a new system, I feel they may be right. That's not to say we cant win more games, and I like everything that was done this off season, but until our guys prove otherwise I can see why people who are not Bills fans feel this way about our predicted record. Honestly I was surprised that ESPN radio even talked about our Bills but that doesn't mean they are wrong. The reson people knock the Whitner pick is because there were sexier picks still on the board, but I feel we needed a blue chip saftey and if you are truley addressing need its a good solid pick. Lets hope for the best. Go Bills!!!
  3. tries to mix things up and create competition among players. If the guy is a better player at any given position he gets the start. If you perform you get to play. We haven’t seen that in a long time in Buffalo. At least not to this magnitude. Moving Kyle Williams ahead of Tim Anderson, replacing Posey with Crowell, and letting Gates move up are all sound moves IMHO. I like it all. I was never impressed with Anderson's play and thought it was one of the major reasons the Defense fell apart last year. I think Crowell is a player, and Gates was always a better back than Shaud Williams. This staff not only sees this like most of us fans saw it, but they act on it and make the changes. They even update the depth chart at BB.com!!! I like
  4. Even our beloved Buffalo Jills are skanks.
  5. Dude looks like Ogre from revenge of the nerds. If he wasnt playing footbal he'd be working at the local carwash and these chicks wouldnt give him a second glance. Funny how that works isnt it?
  6. I honestly think that hit was as deliberate as the one Jom Kelly took in the chest from Seals. If you have to hurt people on purpose to get into the superbowl then whats the point?
  7. defensive lineman hadn't landed on Carson Palmers knee we might be seeing a different superbowl this year. As a side note Id just like to say," are their names Jake or are they Joke? Good job Jake the snake. Youll never win a damn thing!
  8. I actually liked him and lets be honest you cant go 9-7 in your first season if you dont know how to coach. But this move? I now feel he's a coward and a quitter.
  9. I personally like Mike Mularkey. Sure he had trouble calling the offensive plays, which is supposed to be done by the OC, but I think overall the guys a good coach and a good man. I agree that Clements was doing a poor job and need to go, but I also wanted Gray gone. Dick Lebeau was the reason the defense was doing so well and not Gray. That really showed this year. Maybe that change will be made too. For continuity's sake I'm glad Mularkey is coming back. I don't want to spend another 5 years rebuilding.
  10. Great banter folks. Thats why I love TBD!
  11. The O-line as constructed is a huge weak spot for the Bills. I’m surprised to be saying this when Jim McNally was supposed to be able to do anything with any players he was given and still come up with a good O line. Chris Villarrial, despite his four penalties on Saturday is a very good guard. Obviously he will be the starting guard again next year. I like Jason Peters and when I have had the opportunity to watch him play I have seen him put up an excellent fight. Where he supplanted Mike Williams I would assume the plan is to use him at tackle again next year and I have no problem with that. Trey Teague has been a good player for us but he’s never been a rock solid center. He has the brains but he lacks dominating size and has been blown off the ball too often to say that converting him to center was a complete success. Maybe Duke Preston would fare better there. Bennie Anderson does have physical talent but he makes too many mental errors. The problem is that after the Bills overpaid for him, they had no one else to take over at his guard position when he performed in a less than stellar way. Trying to put Williams in that spot was just plain silly. I guess the scouting department gets a black eye for brining Anderson in, but what do we do with him next year. He’s too expensive to be a backup. He needs to be replaced either with a rookie or free agent, or perhaps Preston, but if the Bills cut him they eat a lot of salary on that one. Gandy has worked his butt of this year at tackle but it’s just not his natural position. He’s a backup at best. Our first round pick should be a tackle to replace Gandy, and Gandy should be retained as a backup. It’s pretty clear now that the reason Bledsoe struggled here is because the line couldn’t protect him because in my opinion Drew has been a better player in Dallas, and look at what his departure has done to the Bills this year. Everyone knows that cutting him was a huge part of our losing record. I am glad he’s gone though because I know he can only take a team so far and that the Bills had to move away from that. The O line has been a huge problem for Losman this year as well. The D line also needs to be fixed and should be addressed with early draft picks, but without at least three changes on the O the Bills are going nowhere.
  12. This team is just beyond comprehension. We have excellent receivers and a great running back, I even believe Losman can be good. But our O line provides no protection, and no running lanes. The O line is clearly the problem on offense as demonstrated by Bledsoe’s success this year in big D. In Dallas the line is pretty good. In Buffalo it sucks. It’s pretty easy to see why though. We took a mediocre tackle and asked him to play center. Now he's done OK there, but Ross Tucker outplayed him last year, and of course we thought we could do without Tucker. Duke Preston would probably be a better fit at center and he's already shown everyone that he can play. Think about it. That would free up Teague to play the tackle spot that were asking Gandy who is a guard at best to play. They way it is now just doesn’t make sense. Now the Bills are finally saying that Williams is a bust, and that Peters is better. I think Peters can be, but it will take time for him to develop. Big Mike needs to go away if he cannot contribute. We need his money for other players. Anderson was a mistake, but either Preston, or Gandy could fill those shoes. Villarrial is a solid Guard. Since our year is over why not try Teague, Gandy, Preston, Villarrial, and Peters as our starters? My guess is that that would be a pretty good line. Not great mind you, but at least good. On the D we have problems on the line as well. Nobody talked about getting rid of Krumrie or Gray last year, because we had Pat Williams on the line along with a healthy Spikes. The front seven did a good job with marginal front four talents. Aaron Schobel is the only decent player we have up front and he’s a Phil Hansen clone. He’s no Bruce Smith, but Schobel can play for my Bills any day. Adams is old, fat, and unwilling to do what the coaches ask of him. He can be dominant, but only when he wants to be. Anderson is not bad for a second year man, but he needs time to develop, and Kelsay, and Denny are very average players. The Linebackers when healthy are good players with the exception of Posey. I have no idea what he does on Sundays, because I never hear anyone talk about him. They talk about Crowell and he’s the backup! Dump Posey and start Crowell in his place next year. The linebackers are also getting long in the tooth. Spikes injury is really a bad one to have at his position. Sam Cowart never came back from that and Dan Marino was never the same as a QB. I hope Spikes can recover, but this injury is a tough one. Either way he has been missed terribly since he went down. The secondary despite what happened in San Diego is a good one. Milloy and Vincent are at the end of their careers though, and Clements will probably leave so the secondary will need work too. Free agency and the draft is the answer for tthe D Line and secondary. We have no roster talent in the second string that can be the answers. I like Mularkey. I think he’s a very good coach. Sure Marty Schottenheimer outplayed him, but we all know that Marty has a hell of a lot more years at doing this then Mularkey does, and lets face it, the Chargers talent especially on the lines is just better. I think Mike is a good motivator, and this business of not telling the media about who’s starting is not lame, it just pisses off the media so they try to make him sound bad. Who cares about the friggin media? Outside of Western New York, most of them don’t give a damn about our Bills anyway. You want to get rid of Gray and Clements? I’m all for it, but Mularkey is a good man. If you don’t think so just think about old Gregg Williams and see if you still feel badly about Mularkey. It bothers me though that I don’t want to listen to sports radio, read the sports section, or even look at my issue of Bills weekly. I hope the front office can turn this around, but I know in my heart it’s going to take several years to do it. Donahoe is responsible for a lot of this, and I think he’s in over his head. I guess Ill just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Happy Thanksgiving all!
  13. Oh yes. I was sitting there pondering just last week that Holcombe was the second coming of Dan Marino! People with zero brains make me sick!
  14. HOUSTON TEXANS W Tampa Bay Buccaneers L ATLANTA FALCONS L New Orleans Saints L MIAMI DOLPHINS W NEW YORK JETS W Oakland Raiders L New England Patriots L KANSAS CITY CHIEFS L San Diego Chargers L CAROLINA PANTHERS L Miami Dolphins W NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS L DENVER BRONCOS L Cincinnati Bengals L New York Jets W So we will be 11-5 and get a nice low draft pick. Donahoe in his infinite wisdom will pick and injured running back, or a speed wide receiver. After all we can get some undrafted free agent O linemen, and some defensive players from the Houston Texans practice squad. It’s all good!
  15. they may want to focus on how to stop anyone on "D." I know Spikes is a huge loss, but everything I've read and seen says that Crowell is doing a solid job at weak-side linebacker. When Edwards was in the game last year they wanted to bench Sam Adams, because Edwards was playing so well. When Edwards was healthy he was no Pat Williams. I know that Edwards is out, but Anderson was supposed to be a monster at Tackle too, so what gives in the run stoppage? Maybe Pat Williams was that important. My guess is that he was. I was upset last week when the pontificators favored a losing Raiders team, and could not understand why they felt the Bills would lose. One reporter called our defense a sieve. I thought that was harsh and biased, but I was wrong. When Lamont Jordan, a career backup, and his 1-5 team kick the crap out of our D the way that they did, I realize that our D is a shell of its former self, and that this will be another year where we're not going to get it done. Flame me all you want, and tell me I'm not a fan, or that there is a lot of football left to play. I'm just telling you what we've all seen, and I haven't said a word that anyone can honestly dispute. I think its one thing to lose to a team as crumby as the Raiders, but to get embarrassed by them tells you what the 2005 Bills are all about. Sure we'll win more games, but with the schedule we have left does anyone really believe the Bills will earn a wild card spot? You can forget all about the division. I hope I'm wrong about it, but we've seen this year after year.
  16. One of the things I ve noted as a long time poster is that if you criticise the team right or wrong you will be slammed. I expected that. The Bills fams are passionate people. I will not leave my team as a fan, as I said its just hard. Thanks for your support and for being the voice of reason.
  17. I didnt say I was jumping off, what I said was it was hard to be a fan. Its been a long time since Buffalo had any real success, and Im still here. That being said I want you to point out where I was wrong in my original assesment. I dont think you can.
  18. Even coming out of Dunkirk in my childhood years I was never a Bills fan because they were always a joke. Then came Jim Kelly and that whole group that took us to four straight Superbowls and finally I felt they were a team I could watch and enjoy. Just for the record I’m not old enough to remember the AFL champion teams. Basically we have four superbowl losses as the pinnacle of the franchise history. We have a bunch of jokers making the personnel choices, and even though I think Mularkey is a very good coach we will spend yet another year going nowhere. I look forward to the football season every year and every year I have to wait until next year. All these years after Kelly’s success I’m and just plain tired of it, and frankly its hard to be a Bills fan. So what’s wrong with the Bills? 1. We needed to keep Pat Williams. His value to the Defensive line was severely misjudged. This is Donahoe’s fault. Edwards didn’t want to play hard at the beginning of his career and he’s not Pat Williams now either. 2. Lossman is not ready. He needs to learn and I do believe he can be good, but this is not his time. Everyone knows Matthews can play and yes he’s getting old but Holcomb can play too and has actually won games. Start anybody else until this kid can mature and learn. 3. The O line sucks. We need a real center, and we need a real offensive tackle. Teague gets blown off the line at least once a game, and Gandy is a guard. Why did we let Marcus Price go? We could sure use him now with Mike Williams out, and Mike Williams is out at least once a year. How much could Price have cost us as a free agent? It’s just silly. Every time Price filled in he did a great job for us. Why did we let Tucker go? He started at Guard last year but rookies are better? I like Preston a lot but he’s the only one I can justify keeping. Donahoe again. Finally, How long will Ralph Wilson be with us? And why isn’t he more involved in getting something done with this team while he’s still alive to see it? I would think He’d want that. After he goes all bets are off as far as even having a team in Buffalo. Its just very difficult to be a fan when the team doesn’t care about doing all they can to put the best players on the field every Sunday. They think they have all the answers, and that is all we as fans need to know about it.
  19. Leon Lett was a big goof. Hes proved that over and over again just as many of the Plowboys have. Do you remember after one Bills Boys game; Emmit Smith was on the field with his niece, and he was talking to Thurman. He said to his nice that Thurman was the best running back in the NFL to the little girl. Now THAT was class.
