Yeah, north east Vegas is a scary place.  Lots of gang activity.  I remember driving one of my co workers home after work awhile back, he told me to drop him off a couple blocks from his house because it could be dangerous for me.

The west side and Henderson are nice suburbs and relatively safe but I’ve hearing gunshots almost a couple times a week lately

I was in Vegas for a few days this past August and was certainly appalled at the "dirtiness" of the strip. Still, it was an experience and I loved the area that I was staying in (Summerlin) to consider potentially moving there in the coming years (Phoenix area and So Cal are also under consideration). Is Summerlin as bad?

Really? You have no idea what you’re talking about. What McD has done in such a short time boarders on miraculous. Accept that we’re not ready for prime time yet and that’s okay. It’s where we are right now. As long as Beane and McDermott keep building this team up, I am satisfied. Eventually we’ll be championship material. Because everybody jumped the gun and wanted us to be Super Bowl ready doesn’t mean we are.

Amazing. A few weeks ago everyone here is talking about McD being COY consideration and bad mouthing Vrabel. Now its pitchforks and torches for McD and songs of praise and bouquets of flowers for Vrabel. The past few years have been an improvement and this team despite the bumps still has a promising future. Yes there is still work to be done, they are not finished yet.

Gase is not the answer, that is a fact. Peyton Manning gave him his legacy and its gone now.

What are your feelings on Joe Douglas? Should he get the boot, or be given a chance to show if he can hire a good HC and conduct another draft?

Reminded me of my golf game and that #$% damn slice.

First game with no pre-season so before we run him out on a rail, let's let him get coached up and see what happens.

LOL, same here. No matter what I do I slice or push-slice on my drives. Ruins what could be good rounds for me!

On one hand you have a Super Bowl caliper coach, with multiple appearances and a win.

On the other, a coach who cracks under pressure and can’t get over the hump to beat a divisional rival. Plays conservative to the point of recklessness.

    Which one would you chose?

To be fair, it took 8 seasons as HC on his third team for Pete Carroll to win a Super Bowl. McD just completed his 3rd season and has reached the playoffs 2 out of those 3.

Oh and their records in their first 3 seasons as HC - identical at 25-23. Sure Carroll is much more accomplished, but he also has been HC for 14 seasons so it should be expected that he is much more accomplished given his tenure.

    Yeah, we haven't had enough.

22 years since our last playoff win wasn't enough waiting I guess.

But it's OK!  We are "learning" how to win!

    We are "building character!"

How about scouting for a quarterback?  Are we doing any of that this off-season?

Holy crap! Every single post you make regardless of the topic is to trash Allen! Give it a break already!

You CANT operate like this after drafting a first round QB. You are suppose to develop your QB off mental reps??? Tell me how this strategy makes a lick of sense. Clearly other coaches give their #2 reps. Your GM drafts a 1st round QB you need to change how you run your practices. I mean come on, lets be realistic, how long does a rep take? GOTTA MAKE IT HAPPEN.

It may not make sense, but it does seem to be the norm these days as far as the backup not getting any reps, or barely any during the week. And in Daniel Jones case, it doesn't seem to have hurt him so far:

Why would you say that?  He's a mediocre second-year QB of a division opponent.  He deserves nothing.

I think its too soon to label him mediocre. Not saying he's great either, but I see potential in him to be a good QB.

Full disclosure: I did want him to be drafted by the Bills but certainly was not dissapointed with Josh as the pick. But just as a football fan I think he can be better than mediocre.
