Originally, Mario. Younger, and a position that we were extremely weak in (weaker than QB at the time).
Now? It's clear that Mario just came here for a paycheck, and to finish out his career in a relaxed manner. At least Peyton is a competitor.

jets had 27 passing attempts.. buffalo had 1 pass defensed, and that's only because the gift interception that the sanchize threw counts as a pass defensed. horrible.

We still gave up something like 120 yards on the ground. IMO, I wouldn't consider that good run defense, especially since we couldn't cover the pass to save our lives.
The Spiller fumble completely threw out the rest of the game, also. Especially since much of his yardage came when the game was already out of hand and the Jets D was looking for pass plays. The stat looks nice though. Hopefully he shows this talent when it's needed and actually takes care of the ball.
I really have nothing good to say about yesterday.
the jets had 36/118 with a long of 14- not bad at all.

he threw some terrible, terrible interceptions that basically never gave us a chance in the game.
that being said, he was awesome in garbage time.

i remember several blitzes... none of which worked. they were always from the opposite side of the play or ran the blitzer out of the play (i remember the last Jet TD specifically for the blitzer running out of the play)

these blitz calls today have been mystifying.

our defensive line isn't getting pressure but they're stopping the run pretty well.

this is awesome. every time we blitz it's from the wrong side, nobody in the LBs/secondary can cover anyone. at least we're stopping the run.

Not quite sure what you mean by this, as I thought Bradham led FSU in tackles his last three seasons there. Sarcasm perhaps?
as a person that watched bradham all his years at fsu, no, it wasn't sarcasm. he might have made tackles but he always seemed out of position or making a boneheaded play.
edit: it also could have had to do with him having to play under mickey andrews' defenses his first few years

unfortunately the question here becomes, can a system built around hiding his arm be successful long term. Or can he work his arm into a better weapon?
i don't have a doubt. brady used to be noodle-armed when he screen passed us to death when he first became a starter. now he can make every throw and throw 80 yards with ease (see: Super Bowl throw to Randy Moss)
How would we look if we signed these offensive free agents?
