  1. I see the Bills needing to get their QB some experience, then add a top DE, DT, RT, TE and C. We aren't that far, but we aren't that close either. We also don't know what we have in Edwards yet, we can only project.

I would say besides a proven QB, the biggest need is Center, then TE followed by DE-although Ellis might be the solution here. I don't see why we need another DT, nor do we need a RT. We lack tackle depth however, and I don't believe we really addressed. This is the one problem I have with this draft--why we didn't address the OL. The guy we chose is at least three years away.

  2. you missed the second part of that statement about refusing to listen to anyone else for even a second. if you are going to post your opinions and then not bother to have an open enough mind listen to opposing views, then why bother coming here?

youre right, he can dislike whoever he wants. and thats fine. but after the 100th thread of the same opinion on the same topic from the same poster, and refusal to try to see both sides... its a little old and annoying.

and frankly, from what ive been told about the posts of yours (Mike) that the Mods removed from the McKelvin thread, and the ones that are left in there... who cares if you have a problem with the board? go act like an e-tough guy somewhere else.

draft weekend always brings out the worst in this board. i cant wait for it to fizzle out.

First, let me clarify something. I wasn't acting e-tough. People were making personal insults of which I reacted to. If somebody calls me a douche bag, I'm going to respond. It is not I who is e-tough, it is some of the others who constantly insult people behind their keyboards if they don't like what they have to say. You know who these guy are, I presume.

Secondly, i reacted emotionally to the McKelvin pick by not liking it and making some sarcastic remarks--and stupid perhaps. But i didn't insult anyone and I certainly don't deserve to be called names. I realize I overreacted--I'm human.

Lastly, my post to you was to help, not disparage.

You are probably right I shouldn't stay on this board--people are here are plain nasty.

  3. and im too tired of arguing with people who come here to post what they think, and refuse to listen to anyone else even for a second, to try to explain to you about inheriting a team right as it starts a COMPLETE rebuild.

Dude, he can like or dislike whoever he wants. I'm sure there are many others who feel the same way.

Why are you arguing with people who come here to post what they think? His posting probably acts like a cartharsis for hima as it does for me. That's what makes America great.

You see that's the problem I have here with this board. Why argue and make sarcastic remarks (not you in this case) when all he is doing is presenting his feelings. He didn't insult anyone or get personal. It's a message board. Tell him you disagree..why get frustrated.

  4. NFL Network the hosts were asked what team is under the radar. Tom Waddel said the Buffalo Bills, he mentioned the free agent pick ups & said we had a good draft. He said this is a team with talent on it. <_<

What did Marshall Faulk say---we'll draft #1 next year? <_<

  5. Am I the only one who thinks this kid will do wonders for Buffalo this year? I think he will help our offense aswell in the redzone. We now have 2 6 foot 6 guys who can go up and get the ball.......

I think Courtney Anderson is due for a SOLID year for the Bills.....and I also think its the reason Buffalo didnt target any of the top flight TE's....

He still has to make the team first.

Royal is definitely in, so now there are two more out of four that can only make it.

I'd say Schouman and Fine are the best bets.

  6. Poster on BB.com who is a UK fan said we will love this kid. He's intense, hard working and plays all out. He will make the big catches to keep possessions alive and will "will" himself to get better. He is a true TE and not the H-back people keep mentioning.

  7. ...but now that I look at the big picture, I'm very happy with the McKelvin pick. He could make an impact right away which is essential if we are going to make a playoff push. I think Ellis will help too.

Hardy goes without saying. I like the rb and Steve Johnson picks as well.

But the Derek Fine pick looks like a waste of a four...we'll just wait and see.

I'm not happy we didn't find a replacement for the pilemaker in the middle.

  8. Hummm.....Message board.....Posted opinion..................obnoxious attack.

What, a message board isn't for opinions, conversations, sharing of thoughts? All you showed was that a keyboard should not be universally available.

This seems to be the pattern on this board. If you have an opinion, whether informed or not, the Nazi Guard will attack you. It's the same four or five shithea$s that act as a posse looking for stuff so they can ridicule and assault. I like to meet each one face to face and see how daring they are in public.

  9. mike, i agree that you are entitled to your opinion. and i agree that you have the right to disagree with anything you want.

but if you arent going to take a second to realize that you are arguing something that cant/wont be fairly judged for a long time and that your entire argument at this point is therefore illogical, irrational and flawed... then i cant help you and we really have nothing more to discuss.

we get it, you dont like the picks. so? and?

as far as specific players, do you really think that Jauron and Co didnt realize Justice was still on the board? do you think they are that completely inept that they overlooked a Center you had heard of, and chose a RB, by accident?

No, of course I realize this...and I appreciate your tone. Thank you.

The question is can we trust Jauron? Perhaps he has more input this year without Marv.

I had complete faith in Marv's picks because Marv had 60 years of scouting/player evaluation, etc.

I'm not so sure of Jauron. I do like the runningback--but how can we go into the season with Fowler/Preston and not start to develop someone with Fowler gone next year? That's what puzzles me.

I hope that at least gives you some insight in how I think--for better or worse.

  10. I'd say that's about right. None of these picks have yet to play down for the Bills. How can they be questioned? The scouting department has a bit more info than we do on these guys. We have no idea how these new players will perform. Look back about 2 years from now and you can then make some evaluation. 3 years would be an even better timeframe. Go back and look at the '05 and '06 drafts today and you can get a sense that one was much better than the other.

Now I can't question any of these picks? What are we...a board of communists ? I can't question why we didn't draft a freakin' center when Indy picked three? When Steve Justice was there at 6, but we picked a runningback (although I do like him)? I can't question why we picked a CB in the first round? I'm sure he'll turn out to be a great player--but I would have preferred Albert. Am I entitled to that opinion or do I have to go along with this board and just keep my mouth shut.

  11. How about this -- convince us why we should be so (specifically) pessimistic about those who were selected today. Round for Round tell us who you would have picked and why they would be infinitely better than the "disasters" we got this weekend.

Note: unacceptable answers include - "this front office sucks," "why should we be optimistic", "we haven't been to the playoffs in 12 years," "I don't trust ________", "Wilson is cheap and wants to move to Toronto," etc.

Did u read my thread? I'm not talking about the quality of the draft in as much as the way people are treated on this board. I'm not trying to convince of anything.

That was the point of my whole post.

    I don't owe you anything.

  12. get over the fact that no matter how much you complain, no matter how much you think youre right, it doesnt change anything. and no one knows as this point if this is a "good" or "bad" draft.

so calm down and enjoy some football.

    or not. whatever.

I'm humble to know that I'm not always right...that's the difference with the people who insult others for a difference in opinion. They insult because they believe they are always right.

I made one opinion that I didn't like the first pick (sure with a lot of sarcasm no doubt) and I've been appointed pariah of the month.

These people are like liberals--they only accept you if you agree with them.

This board has really, really turned to crap. There are people who think they can tell you how to think.

Well, they can't. As of today, in my fallible opinion, this draft was far from great.

But maybe I'll read something somewhere and I can be convinced otherwise. Because that is what this board is about--communicating information, sharing knowledge, throwing out opinions, even venting. It's not for telling people how to think, and continuous insult after insult.

  13. i watch because im excited to see which college players my team is getting in the draft.

not to prove to some message board, or to myself, that im "right" about anything.

maybe they make mistakes, maybe they dont. the DAY OF the draft is not a rational time to tell.

    get over it.

Get over what? This board seems to have a lot of psychologists---they seem to tell me how I should feel.

  14. Why bother watching? That has nothing to do with it. He's simply stating that he's letting the scouts do their job and isn't trying to pretend that he knows more than them. And no, the "fun of watching it" isn't bitching and complaining that we took a OLB in the 5th friggin round instead of a 3rd string tackle. It just doesn't matter at that point, you're trying to find a diamond in the rough, and the guys that are picking our players know 1000x more than anyone on this board.

The question is not whether they know more than us, but whether they know more than the other scouts? That is where we have the moxy to judge.
