  1. Rogers holds the ball longer then any qb in the league ,that said you are right about him. However we are not getting arron rogers type next year .I would rather build a top of the line offensive line then move on to the qb

You can judge a QB, because there are numerous times within a game where a wide open receiver is either not seen, or a bad pass is thrown. Aaron Rodgers has been sacked the most times in the NFL, but he has a top 5 QB rating, and his team (i think) is 9-4.
  2. Lets fix the o line , how can we even judge a qb behind this mess me have now

    I say

    ot

    ot

    dt

    lb lb lb lb lb

My thinking today is as follows:

OT -----Priority 2 (Down From P1)

    QB-----Priority 1 (Up From P2)

    DT 4-3------Priority 2

    OLB 4-3----Priority 2

    OG-----Priority 3 (Down From P2)

    DE 4-3------Priority 3

    ILB ----Priority 4

    OC-----Priority 4

    TE-----Priority 4

These priorities for each team are listed here: http://www.drafttek.com/teamneeds2010.asp

    Comments:

--I can only have one "Priority 1" (P1) position. I can submit multiple Priority 2's.

--We gained 200 yards on a bad team. If Clausen-Bradford-Locker is there in RD1, the computer will pick him if we say P1

--I could lower OC as a priority, but we don't yet know how Woods comes through his injury. Same with OG.

--The draft is full of DT's and WR's this year, and a comparatively lower need for them. Do I make WR a priority P4?

--I still think that more push up the middle is needed, so I'd keep DT as a P2. What do you think?

--Should I lower OLB priority based on Scott and Harris's play?

--I'm thinking we're still in the 7 spot for the draft this year, putting us out of the running for Clausen-Suh-Okung-McCoy-Bradford but in the running for Bulaga-Williams-Locker-Dunlap-Spikes.

  5. As the excitment of the bringing a big time coach (shanahan, cohwer ) slips away and the realization that the bills are going to have to rebuild the more traditioanl way I think bringing Tony Dungy as president makes the most sense and her is why

1 The guy is well respected and well connected around the league. I would imagine it is a lot easier for a guy like that to get some doors open then a call from big Russ. This will be very helpful in building a staff and restructuring the entire 2 bills drive , not to mention getting players to at least consider a move up north

2 we keep the tampa two, I am not a huge fan either but 4 years of player development has been spent on this system and with all the work the offense needs turning over two untis in one offseason , espeically this offseason ,( uncapped and very few decent free agents available ), will be impossible

3 Lets keep Perry as head coach, and bring in a dynamic offensive co , fassell could work here. Why Perry , why not actually bringing in someone elses assistant isn't going to be that much of an upgrade short term

4 If you can retool the offense next year and transition from a pop warner to a above average unit , that would be a lot .

5 After all the labor stuff is out of the way we can revisit the tampa two and perry for that matter in the meantime. The bills would have built a strong organization and put in plae a solid offensive system .

6 Plus dungy brings vick and I love my dogs but lets win some games

7 vick two good o line in the draft and a solid offensive mind and the bills are on the right path

  7. Lots of speculation that both Charlie Weis (Notre Dame) and RIch Rodriguez (Michigan) will lose their jobs at the end of the season...would anyone be interested in either as the Bills Head coach?

For me, RichRod would be a no-go, but I'd be interested in Weis--before he was hired by ND, he was a hot commodity, and if folks had heard he was coming to the Bills there would have been a lot of happy faces...so I'd think he'd still be a fit in the NFL (and probably more so than at the college level).

    I think it's a long-shot, but I think it might be a good fit...

Any other college coaches you'd consider?

If the bills bring in a defensive guy as head caoch, charlie weis would be a great o coach

  8. I've been a bills fan for over 35 years. I don't want to just make the playoffs and be respectable. I want a Super Bowl victory before I'm to old to remember it. Making the playoffs and losing in the first round sucks. You get a lower first round pick and really have nothing to show for the season by losing in the first round which is what Marty did consistantly.

I'm sick of mediocrity. How can you people settle for this.

Playoffs are a bit of a crapshot , who you play ,were you play, weather , ect. Lets get the roster playoff caliber and take it from there. At this point we need left tackle and a Quaterback just to get to 500

  9. "But, there are reasons to think Ralph C. Wilson "gets it", and is actually willing to do "what it takes" to turn his sagging Bills franchise around. A source tells me C.O.O. Russ Brandon has already started the search for a respected football man to head up football operations, and that person would be in charge of bringing in the next head coach along with all other changes in the personnel department, and changes there will be."

wow, that is great news. it makes sense they have to do someting to sell tickets next year.

  10. The odds are long that the Bills are hiring a big name ,5 million per year coach. That being said Marty makes the most sense, only 6 years older than fassel ,a lot on this site, he can come in clean up this mess and start things on the right path . While I am not sure how I feel about the next thing I am going to write but we the Bills could bring in his brother to run the offense with and eye towards taking over when marty moves upstairs . At least this gives the bills a solid football man and more importantly a chance for some continuity. It would be nice to be able to have a game plan and run with it for awhile . Either way we are looking at two new systems which means new player , which means a few more lean years
