it’s ultimately a case of “this guy has flags for being self centered and clueless”this isn’t proof he will fail but it’s surely another data point in the wrong column if you are invested in his success.
to do it twice this month is likewise a data point in the does not learn from mistakes column
"I made some wrong choices personally, and I can own up to them," Sanders said, via Pro Football Talk. "I made some, you know, not great choices. … I learned."But, he’s learned. This boy is 23 years-old and just learned that he shouldn’t go 101 in a 60.

I see nothing wrong with this. As long as the reasons for “default” are clearly defined within the contract, it’s fine. These players shouldn’t be committing crimes (or the perception of) and expect to get paid. Anyone else wouldn’t.

If you cut Bosa you still have to pay pretty much his full contract. He has a $12,000,000 dead cap. How does that help anything?
It’s a really odd contract the Bills signed here. All veteran salaries are guaranteed for that year if they are on day 1 roster. Having his 1 year contact guaranteed is basically him and agent hedging their bets that he will not be healthy enough to even be on the NFL season opening roster.-

Cut Bosa and sign this guy. I’m not comfortable pencilling in a rookie into the CB2 spot during a year we are supposed to contend for the SB.

Shouldn’t hard knocks be about crap teams going thru hard knocks/times? nothing good comes from a national camera in every face.
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-team-featured-on-hard-knocks-won-super-bowl/i just don’t see the good in this.

Why would a team have to tell its opponent what play they are going to run? That’s just nonsense ,
The opposing team could tell the Bills they are going to throw a Hail Mary and they’d still complete it.-

Thoughts and prayers. But my first thought went to Kurt Cobain’s guitar and all the rest. Where are they going to go?

Yeah those Super Bowl Bills were no angels but their off field transgressions didn't prevent them from playing well(except for Super Bowls, of course). Kelly was accused of violence against women but was never charged like idiot Eric Moulds though. He'd probably get attempted murder for what he was accused of nowadays. Speaking of those lenient times, I have to laugh when I see the people with Cornelius Bennett handles. Most are or were totally unaware that he did actual time in WNY for sexual assault(forced anal sex, specifically).
Yeah, back then, nobody was going to touch Kelly. No matter the stories of Jill showing up to the ER. Things have changed greatly for the better. They were incredible talents, no doubt. But, if they were decent people at the time, maybe they could won one of those. But, looking at the Boys, maybe it had nothing to do with their character.-

how much does a DC make? 100k seems stiff
A decent organization would make him whole again. Let the fine be taxes on an extra $100,000 made. Make the son pay that.
Edit: actually, I don’t blame the son. It was the dude who was way too casual with private contact information.

Is this that DC’s son again?

This seems incredibly overblown. No one was harmed or was ever at risk.

Elijah Moore had 538 yards and 1 TD, He's never had more that 640 yards in a season and who would he possibly beat out to match those numbers?
Palmer had 584 last season with a real QB throwing to him. 581 the year before. He did have 769 three seasons ago.-

It is...but let's not act like signing Moore is some savior--- a 600 yard receiver isn't moving the needle much.
Beane saying we're set at WR, is still true. Looking to improve on WR4/5 is smart, but in no way shape or form changes who we are as a team.
I take it you hated the Josh Palmer signing? -

I was high on Elijah Moore years ago, but at this point he's not offering the kind of "help" people are clamoring for. He'd be a 5th WR at best, or more likely a camp body.
The kind of help people were clamoring for was for early round pick (which btw, would be no better than Moore at this point). Given our defense has let us down 4 years in a row, I’d say we did the right thing. As for Moore, who knows. He’s young and has spent the last 4 years on 2 of the worst run teams in the NFL. Maybe a diamond in the rough. -
But they just brought in a WR today for a visit. Kind of proves they are looking to get better at WR.

Why is this guy still a free agent? Did he recently get cut loose? This guy’s stats aren’t that different from Josh Palmer’s, who played with a better QB.

If high picks don't play a lot in 1-2 years, you've kind of already failed since (except for first rounders) they're only under team control for 4 years.
I disagree, however, that drafting based on need is the proper way of building a team. It's the proper way of trying to keep a very good playoff team at the top for additional years. But it's not a good way of launching a bad team on a winning trajectory.
I agree with this. But if you are starting at ground level, then most positions are a need. In this case, every pick will be a need and also the BPA. -
You would think the Browns would’ve have learned their lesson about diva QBs.

I've always answered the endless debate - do you draft the best player available or do you draft for need? - this way.
Bad teams always have to draft the best player available (with a possible exception of QB).
Good teams always have to use the draft to fill specific needs.
We did what good teams need to do.
If you look at some hypothetical measure like "future value added" or some such unquantifiable thing, well, I guess we're in the middle of the pack.
If you look at some hypothetical measure like "win expectancy added over the next 4 years," I think we did pretty well, since you'll have more talented young players taking roster spots from less talented old players.
It’s ridiculous people still think Beane drafts BPA at this point. We have years of a draft record now and it’s abundantly clear 1st/2nd day picks are based on need. The difference is, and this is where people get confused, there is usually 1-3 positional “needs” on a team. You pick the BPA within this confine. Still, need comes 1st and BPA comes 2nd.
In the past, selecting based on need was looked down upon. This was when rookies “developed” on the bench for a few years. Now, draftees are expected to start writhing 1-2 years. Drafting based on need is the proper way of building a team.

I hope this isn't a repeat of the last time we drafted a cb in the 1st and 6th rounds of the same draft
Actually, I would be ecstatic. I don’t care what order they are picked. If we come out of this draft with another Benford (or better, minus the injuries), I’d consider this a very successful draft.-

Given how the ginger eschews playing rookies , you're probably right
But they don’t sit rookies just because. See Benford. If one of these players steps up in camp, they will play significant time.-

Love this kid already. Looks like he’s going to be a strong leader on this team.
btw, whats up with Abdul Carter showing no love to Max
Reminds me of Lamar Jackson after we handed him a loss. I just hope Max shows no love to AFC receivers.-

I understand Hill, but what has Waddle or Achane done to show they are problematic?
And for as much flack as I give McD, I fully believe he would be capable of keeping any/all of them in line better than McDaniel.
This is True. Achane and Waddle have been relatively drama-less. Hill is probably the worse in the league. -

Miami is absolutely loaded, especially on offense
If The Bills had Tyreek Hill and Jaylin Waddle and Achane, Josh Allen would only need to play half of each game and they would still break the scoring record
Josh is a great leader, but I’m not sure he’s ready for those jokers. Wouldn’t want these guys in Josh’s locker room. Probably worse than Diggs.
McDermott not in Top 10 of NFL coaches per PFF.

Until he gets a Ring, he shouldn’t be included in this list. In fact, he can’t even get to a Super Bowl with arguably the best QB in the league.
