  1. I realize what you're saying and I agree. The front of the net is where goals are scored and where beatings go down. But the truth is, Vanek really only stations himself in front of the net when the Sabres have a power play, when the defense is playing their box, and he isn't necessarily getting bodied 1-v-1 and having to battle for position. Other than that he is a fringe player when it is full strength, causing him to often morph into Thomas Vanish.

    :D

  2. You know what?

Whomever expected this team to have a deep run in the playoffs was fooling themselves IMO.

Sabres are a good team, but in no way are they elite...yet.

There are a lot of good young players in this roster who will get better...the Sabres need to add some size for the upcoming seasons...and hopefully a guy like Kaissan can provide that sooner or later...

    A True #1 center is needed too...not Connolly...more like a Lecavalier type.

Blaming Miller for this is ludicrous...you know what I blame? This teams inability to clear the damn puck out of their zone and giving the Ruins more chances then they should have...THAT is killing them in this series.

This series is not over yet. Win Friday, pressure swings back to Boston.

teams win ALL of the time with Great Goaltending and timely scoring...we are not getting any key goals.....this series could just as easily be 4-0 Sabres as it is 3-1 Bruins....

  3. One thing people never gave him credit for, especially this year while he was struggling, was all the goals that he creates for other players. Whether it's the screen shot that he fails to get a piece of or the goal scored while one defender is clearly focusing on Vanek, he is the main source of goals for this team. He doesn't always get on the scoresheet, but he deserved a lot of the credit.

yes, people do not realize the beating you take sitting in front of that net....i have no respect for anyone that calls him soft or a pansy.....i did notice that we had little presence in front of Rask all night....and when we did good things happen

  4. the job of a goalie is to keep you in the game and give you a chance to win the game...Miller did his job...the trio of Pomminville, Connolly, and ROy NEED to make a play and put this game away...that is why they are paid the big bucks...to finish games...not score the 6th goal in a 6-1 game....my solution is after this season, package on of these forwards with Butler and the best player possible

  5. No it doesn't, its about $75 for an install right now and then people pay about $50 a month for the service of renting them from the company that puts them in (another way of generating money). Those interlocks record data that is downloaded monthly and sent to either a court or Probation officer and many of these people will get revoked from probation if any alcohol is detected at any time. That would not be the case for the general public, there would be no reason to record the data because it wouldn't get sent to any court or probation officer.....the car simply wouldn't start. Don't you get that a court can charge whatever they want if someone is convicted of a crime? Courts generate money from criminals, and good for them. You simply can't compare what somebody who was convicted of a DUI has to pay compared to what the general public would pay. If these devices were massed produced and mandatory they would not be that expensive.....I would estimate < $300. Sorry I don't have an exact dollar amount.

what would happen if I downed some Listerine or robitussin on my way out the door and was late for an appointment and my car shuts down b/c it senses booze

  6. Things that I think are funny.......

SOmeone can buy a bottle of 151 rum but not a joint....

Someone can bet on horses and, but cant put $50 on the Bills game

Someone can play keno at the convenient store, but cant play poker

Someone can go to N Falls, NY and must be 21 to drink.....walk a mile to Niagara Falls, ON and you only need to be 19

USA....land of of the free....unless some gray haired politician thinks I need to be protected from myself

  7. what does this even mean? so anyone in this country, and everyone on this board, who smokes weed does heavy drugs as well? is that what you're seriously stating?

I have always said that strawberries are gateway drugs....strawberries lead to oranges which leads to cigarettes which leads to weed which leads to PCP/Heroin/Coke which leads to raping woman and shooting people.....
