  1. I have heard Ric Edelman and believe he generally gives sound advice, but his fees in my opinion are way too high.

At Least he uses ETF's and institutional funds....I have seen advisors tack on similar fees to loaded funds and Variable Annuities......crazy....I recently put together 2 advisory services that I think will work well in areas people are gouged pretty good...401k and 403b.....

We have put together a no-load/etf 401k platform that keeps fund/advisory fees under 100bps.....most people pay 150-250 and have no idea...

We have also put together a flat fee 403b account through fidelity no-load....saves people tons on the high fee funds and Variable annuities that are offered at most schools....

    Ok my commercial is done.....

  2. Also my company does offer a service offered by financial engines that you basically give control of your 401k to them and they make adjustments and take out a percentage based on the value of the 401k. The larger it grows the higher the percentage.

Who is the investment company for your 401k? What % does that company charge? I have found that 401k plans are the secret ripoff that not many people really complain about...

  3. No, but if I went to Pizza Hut and the pizza sucked I would yell at the cashier or whomever was there. I wouldn't kindly ask for a phone number so I could call the main headquarters in Dallas and tell them their recipe blows. Or maybe I would and B word at them as well.

    Stay Classy

  4. Right now I am 27 and married. I have been investing into my 401k at the max the government will allow me and my wife is as well (she is 29). I also contribute 8% to my employers stock purchase plan because I am currently making nearly 12$ for every share I purchase (of course that will change with the next offering period). My 401k was set up 2 years ago by a financial planner that was a relative of a friend and hasnt been altered since. I liked him but he worked for AXA which is a real big investing company which most likely means I would some how be getting screwed. That is the extent of my investing.

What do you consider "getting screwed" This is a serious question.

  5. The level of stupidity in this world amazes me.....

If a chef of a fine restaurant offers to come to your house to cook for you and your family for free, does it make any sense to tell them their food sucks, restaurant sucks, and every person they know sucks? Even if you dont like them, you keep your mouth shut.....this all stems from the parents make excuses for their kids and 12th place trophy generation

  6. I don't know about you guys, but I'm REALLY enjoying the 2ndhalf of this season. I was pretty dissapointed with the first several weeks, but now we're back to Jack kicking asss and taking names, and I'm expecting things to finish with a bang.

Can't believe this is the end!

Yes, next week looks good too....Logan is a slimeball

  7. BTW, if I was Darcy Regeir, I would be hanging out in Chicago towards the end of the playoffs....they are going to have to shed some MAJOR salary....they have almost 50 million tied up in Hossa kane Toews, Soup, Keith, Boland, Sharp, Seabrook and Huet
