That’s the pattern of McDermott that’s how he coaches to just win at the end but sometimes we don’t. he refuses to blitz. He let the other team get down the field so easily he’s got an antiquated scheme. He always looks for Josh to bail him out.

No Disagreement from me. The D was playing what 4th Stringers? Allen didn't lose this game (except that wide open TD was a bad throw). All his other missed big plays were on others. KC doesn't deserve the game, but the Bills are a shell of what they should have been. Unfortunately, there are no upgrades and a lot of injuries and players leaving. It's rebuild and hope.

Honestly I wouldn't want the current players to get balled out in a Superbowl. We are just out of gas and talent to go any further this year.

The vast majority of what I’m reading online is calling Mahomes a crybaby and pointing out one simple thing: his receiver was indeed egregiously offside. Not allot of KC love going around after that emotional meltdown.

The reality is that Mahomes was demanding the refs "let them play" and the refs did just that. They let them line up Offside and then immediately threw a flag after the ball was snapped. As they should. If the receiver adjusted, it could have been illegal motion or some other penalty too.

The idea of letting them play means that the player takes responsibility for the errors they make. Even if he asked the ref if his line up was ok, the ref has no obligations to correct him, he isn't his coach.

Reid complaining about the fact it was a penalty and not just a warning is even worse. What's worse is having three more chances to score after the penalty and not.

Mahomes should be fined for his rant on and off the field, and both him and Reid should be benched a game for it. Fines don't mean crap. It's poor sportmanship consider the mugging they were allowed to do to the Bills previously along with a bunch of other freak calls that went their way.

It's called Karma, and Mahomes is finding out that his years of poor footwork and blind throws, are no longer winning him football games. The end is near for Andy, but Mahomes has a few years left.

It's plainly clear to me that Mahomes has a brain injury, or he wouldn't be calling this out. We are Bills fans, we know frustration, but an entitled brat he is, and I for one hope that the NFL comes down hard on him. It's not appropriate for the State Farm guy who's on top many commercials to have such a hissy fit on TV.  It looks really really bad.

  3. The Hamlin situation is unfortunate. But it's a fact of life. We as humans deal with it or will at some point in our lives. At this stage, I wouldn't be upset if the Bills decided to drop the remaining games and playoffs and let the next teams advance in their place. The playoffs will have an asterisk next to them anyway as will the Superbowl. It's an inescapable cloud now, a controversial situation if you will. But the reality is, the living and able move forward.

Lets face facts. Hamlin won't be playing in the NFL again. You either play to honor him at this point, or you take the time to grieve for him. Both are acceptable to me. But the world does not stop around people who are dying, in comas or in the hospital.

The NFL is a business and they have handled this poorly in my opinion. Both teams have handled it professionally. I don't know that you can go back to the Bengals stadium so soon and play the game again. You certainly can't just pickup where it left off. That leaves an asterisk anyway in the game. Nobody knows what the outcome would have been originally.

Obviously this is a first in the "modern NFL", but not the first. However nobody remembered the player who died in 1971, but they will remember this because of it's implications for the season.

Hamlin's prognosis is low, but his odds improved because of the true spirit of the teams and the fans, and medicine. But it teaches everyone that life is fragile.

Ultimately, I accept whatever the Bills decide to do. But the team needs to be all in on the decision and the NFL needs to adjust accordingly.

I don't think you can or should replay the game, personally. But I am a fan and I will watch it regardless and root for the Bills, win or loss. But if the players aren't going to go out and actually play, then don't bother, don't phone it in.

  4. Fitz was brutal at times but hr didn't give up 52 points.

    PTR

What game were you watching? Fitz did give up 52 points. He threw the damn ball directly to the other team on more than one occasion, and they were better throws than to his own receivers.

Those 3 and Outs and INTS left the D on the field. Between him and Wanny with his dumb play calling, they got schooled. What a waste of a Sunday afternoon today. The last two TD's our D should have just stood up in protest and let the Patriots just walk in.

  5. Outcoached in divisional games - 100 points given up in 2 games, ridiculous record for Chan against the AFC East

Fitz has a pathetic arm. Makes just enough throws to give you a glimpse, but can't do it for 4 quarters. He'll win just enough to not let us draft high enough to get his replacement.

Offensive Production - Put the D on the field way too much without rest. No RB in the backfield on 3rd downs. Chan doesn't make Fitz throw 4 picks, but he does put it in his hands.

Wanny - Too stubborn for his own good. Just like Martz, won't blitz or change it up. This team has way too much talent to be run like this.

End result, we are an 8-8 team at best. Just like in this game, we win 2 qtrs, lose the other 2 badly.

End result, Fitz just needs to go. The team needs to be committed to whoever is in there. Chan needs to shove a boot up Wanny's ass and make him adjust. Chan needs to stop being so tricky and realize who he has on his team. Stop the misdirection, stop the empty backfield on 3rd down, and just do move the ball in small chunks.

Good news though, no matter what else happens, we don't need to hold out hope this season. We know everything we need to and the end result...we are not a playoff team

I had hope of a playoff spot at the beginning. Wanny let NE look good. Fitz made sure they had the chance to look good. Enough said.

  6. !@#$ Fitzpatrick. He owes Buffalo a refund for this season. This game was easily winnable. I'm not throwing in the towel on the Bills. Only Fitzpatrick. It's time Chan just admitted that we need a quarterback. I hate to say it, Trade Spiller or Fred and get one now. We don't have anyone else worth QB value.

  7. I completly understand. I feel like I watched Freddy blow out his ACL and Spiller shatter his collarbone, and what's that, they're both almost healthy again!? I feel like I started mourning the season, yet here we are, 2-1 atop the AFC East, with both players returning in the near future.

Well, how did I get here? Strange as it ever was.... Strange as it ever was.... Strange as it ever was....

Make player injures more serious than they seem, get/keep them out of a game to confuse your opponents (they have a harder time preparing). Bellifat won't know who's in or out right a way. Maybe, just maybe OBD planned for something like this?

  8. Although I would have loved a win for Fewell, this was perfect for the long run scenario. Congrats to Fitz on making this look like a real football game for once.

Except that with majority of the team injured or on IR or out for the season, were gonna need 15-20 draft picks and FA pickups next year. Figure an average of 5 FA pickups on a usual year anyway.

    Things look bad...
