  1. Name the big name that is on IR.

    Is it a Bob Sanders?

    Is it a Anthony Gonzales?

    Is it Marlin Jackson?

Every team in the NFL deals with injuries. I am sorry but other than Eric Wood and Mitchell who is the big name injury that explains the lack of talent. The number 14 is impressive until you see who is on the list.

Marlin Jackson WTF? Its the sheer quantity of injuries, in a team sport, chump. Especially along the O-line and Prime was the only one pointing that out tonight it seems. We had to max protect the entire second half. Our duct tape D held them to 19. A patchwork O-line was THE reason for an L tonight IMO, no "names" needed.

  2. Yeah we do. We are about to get a new GM and HC hopefully one(s) that Ralph is going to pay to dollar for. They need a high draft pick to get the turn around of this Team started. This season is over anyway.

The other win I saw possible on the schedule just upset the Steelers and looked pretty good doing it. Looks like we might.

  3. I think Jauron's gonna get this team on the right track. I really like what I've seen so far. Plus, now we get Trent back and he's pumped and ready to light it up, just like last year.

More realistically, I think this is the week this team quits on Jauron. If we all agree he isnt coming back, dont you think they know it too? Im beginning to become suspicious of all these injurites too. For who for what.

  4. I pick the Bills to win a close one. Johnson's not at full speed this week with the knee injury and our secondary can handle the rest of their guys. That means we'll be able to throw 8 in the box from time to time to keep Slaton in check. I think Fitz does enough to get us another win, being aided by a solid game from Lynch and Jackson. Buffalo 20 Texans 16.

McGhee wont be full speed either. Do these offset?

  5. I think trent's problem is that he was irreversibly broken last year in arizona.

Agreed, and it seems to be a growing consensus on this board. Two concussions in one year is serious, both for his health and his game. I hate to say it, people get ready, and no one was rooting for him more than me, Trent might be done.

  6. Possibly the most famous Jauronism of all.

This, from Peter King's fannation pickem today:

"It just shows you that you've got to play well each week," Phillips said. "You can be favored and all those things, but you've got to play well to win ballgames. ... It's tough to win in this league. I've said it all along - I think winners come through. I think that's the big key, being consistent."

How can you not love it?

I think it took the sail out of his wind a little bit.

  7. Keeping Josh Reed over Roscoe is the dumbest move of all time. For an offense that can't seem to make any big plays and is not willing to try Parrish as the slot receiver blows my mind! Releasing Langston, Dockery were pitiful reminders that they seem to have no idea on what it takes to build a championship football team. Trading Peters was a necessary evil even though I would have liked that trade to include Winston Justice instead of that third round pick. These are just a few of my complaints...More to come when I feel like blowing off some more steam.

Dont you mean signing Langston, Dockery in the first place?

  8. 6. Let’s face it, the Bills are just good enough to win five games, and the longer the season goes, their lack of size will affect their ability to stay healthy. Their bad planning on their offensive line, especially at tackle, is too much to overcome. But what they’ll really need to decide is whether they can win with Trent Edwards at quarterback.

    http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Diner-...was-Witten.html

Size and and ability to stay healthy is a dubious connection. Why is Keith Ellison always playing while Poz is always hurt?

  9. We are not middle of the pack. How can you deny this is one of the worst teams in the league? Because we have one win? Open your eyes and try to put yesterday in perspective. Miami is not a good team and they dominated!!

Middle of the pack with everyone healthy. Miss your starting backfield, starting MLB, starting TE and both O-tackles with no depth and we're bottome 5.

  10. Look, the continuity speech can only go so far but i have to say if we lose to Miami on Sunday Jauron Should be Fired on Monday. Why??? Even though this may be a new season a loss to Miami with an umproven QB playing for Miami and Miami being Ralphs Rivalry and the fact that we would be 0-8 in the division since the start of last season and 1-4 on the season should be enough of a reason to can is candy

    What do you think?

    I think we'd be 1-3.

  11. A) The Bills install new surround sound speakers in the stadium

    B) T.O. signs a 2 year extention

    C) The Bills go back to their red endzones

    D) The Bills announce Jim Kelly and investors have come to an agreement with Ralph and have purchased the Buffalo Bills

    Or:

    E) Bills go 1-5 in the division and Swinging Dick is rewarded with a contract extension for the improvement.

  12. We wont be as good without him but i am actually pretty impressed with Buggs......he sells out when he tackles and gives it his all. Very physical.

If Edwards doesn't @hit the bed this year I am actually for using that 1st round pick this next year on a DT to go alongside Stroud

I fully believe Byrd was drafted to replace Whitner next year.....I know he had ten tackles but he just doesn't make any BIG plays......way too much for a high first round pick. Christ even Huff is starting to make plays here and there

I think Wood AND Levitre are going to get better with every game and going into the offseason those positions will be set.

How about the way Hangman played Wilfork?

Passing over Ngata for Whitner was when I truly saw the light about the incompetence at OBD and started abandoning hope about this team.

  13. Truth is - the pats don't know WHAT they have. We're SUPPOSED to lose this game. They're supposed to win. But the truth is, no one knows whats going to happen - they have depleted their defense.

Tonight, on the news, local Boston media exposed the fact that these guys are scared. They THINK they know what they have based on their REPUTATION but they are not confident in the least. Nor is the local media.

Buffalo Defense - go out and BLITZ the !@#$ out of the PATS.

Buffalo Offense - go out and THROW the ball. They are preparing for the RUN.

This game could go anyway... but in all the years I’ve lived in Boston - there has never been so much uncertainly amongst these girls called the PATS.

WE have nothing to lose - bottom line - the pressure is on THEM - not us.

    Go Bills.

    Go Harp!

Duh, uh they still have Tom Brady, right?

  14. Honestly, this is shaping up to be one of the worst seasons the franchise has ever seen (and that's saying something).

    http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/i...e-a-big-mistake

"I think they're making a big mistake running the no-huddle."

With yet another change on the line with yet another raw player Bell I wouldnt be surprised to see them scrap the no huddle for the regular season except for 2 min drills and change of pace and such. These young guys need to communicate their assignments, no way around it. Might even give them a slight advantage in terms of whats on pre-season film.

  15. which would then make the hole at OLG...

What oh what should the Bills do about that???

Indeed, while most of you here are complete birdbrained idiots who do not understand the football you watch, some of you do understand and just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Films which have the free young healthy smart huge upgrade at OLG...

Cotton Bowl = Ole Miss vs. Tex Tech (#50 OLG Ole Miss)

Most of the 2008 Ole Miss tapes except Arkansas and two other late games - sprained elbow, in sleeve for 100 grade performance in Cotton Bowl...

KC vs. Houston preseason second half (#66 KC OLG)

KC vs. Minnesota preseason second half

current status - hidden on KC Practice Squad waiting to be stolen like Ryan Lilja was in 2004 by the Colts...

If someone with a brain and an understanding of OL talent assessment were to watch that player and notice that he is a First Day caliber athlete with power, knee bend, anchor, outstanding speed, agility, pulling ability...

and that the NFL completely missed him because when the NFL watched Ole Miss OL last year, they were watching Oher, and not his OLG...

    Yeah...

Does John Stockton have a son we could put at LG next to D-Bell? We could have the highest scoring o-line in the league or at least run a pick and roll in the endzone...

but who cares how sukky the Bills OL is,

    RIGHT????????????

    Sincerely,

    TFG

  16. In no particular order, my keys to the game:

    1. Fred Jackson must control the game and dominate. It's impossible to put a number on his production, but I'd guess he needs 200 yards of total offense for us to have a good chance. Should be easier without Seymour.

    2. No turnovers.

    3. Significant and consistent pressure on Brady. Pressure is more important than sacks, but the pressure needs to lead to turnovers.

    4. Big plays in the pass game. Edwards needs to hook up with Evans and TO for multiple big gains, and preferably long TDs. We're going to need some cheap points, perhaps from a blown coverage.

    5. Big plays from an unexpected player on both sides of the ball. Someone like Schouman on offense and Ellison on defense.

If your boiling this game down to Fred Jackson, Schouman and Ellison then were in more trouble than I thought.

  17. there is something to be said about changing the culture. trying to get rid of losing types and start fresh with kids who dont know any better. all in all, they got rid of a losing player (walker) -- who has never been a winning pro team. he was on a sad raider team first.

this can either backfire or turn out to be brilliant. when it is brilliant -- often the talent and pedigree of the players are usually HIGH. GREEN BAY did this a few years ago and now has a dominant line. NE did it many years ago and is now dominates. you need to have good players to do it.

this experiment should be interesting. drafting a RT next year would be awesome -- if BEll pans out.

Miami did it last year after taking Jake Long #1. The started the year with only one guy- the center- playing the same position he had the year before.
