Ervin "Magic Marker" Parker.
I had the great pleasure to meet my namesake and just want all of you to know that he is a true gentleman in real life, he'd do anything on the field to protect his quarterback; including inviting bodily harm. After the game he would take his opponent out for a beer.

On one "Little House on the Prairie" episode there is a gravestone that reads "Conrad Dobler, gone but not forgiven" that Merlin Olsen had put in!

I was born in 1960, the same year Ralph Wilson brought the Bills To Buffalo. I bristle a little when I hear people hurling insults at this fine man. Granted he has always run the team with the fiscal responsibility of that sometimes has the fans shaking their heads, IE head coaching hires, but would you rather have a Daniel Snydey or Jerry Jones as our owner? Do you think the fans of the Bills who play in the third poorest city in the country would be able to attend games if Jerry Jones ran this show? Don't forget this is a man who is a great benefactor of the arts, humanities, and medical research, (including millions of dollars donated to head injury research). Ask Kevin Everett if Mr Wilson is a miser!

IIRC it was an exemption from the antitrust law that made the NFL agree to televise sold out home games. I'm too drunk to Google it right now, but I think that there was a specific Senator that insisted on this comprimise.

I'm posting this now because many of you will probably be quite busy Friday doing last minute shopping, preparing for family to arrive, or will be on the road to see loved ones. This season has been one hell of a ride. From the lows and depths of a 0-8 start to an improved and promising finish.
I wish you all loyal Bills fans (whether you are celebrating, Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, or another faith) a joyful and safe time with your loved ones. It's the time of the year to reflect on what's important in life. I'm thankful to have a loving family, wonderful friends, and loyal to the bone die hard Bills fans such as most of you here.
So here's to you all (raises glass), may you all have a wonderful, memorable holiday with the ones dear to you. Even to the Trolls, I wish you more than just a lump of coal.
Have a great Christmas and holiday everyone!
P.S. On Sunday (win or lose) may the Bills pound Brady senseless and rip out every strand of his hair extensions!

At the outro, the time traveller finally hears Dietrichs' full name.
TT: "Dietrich? THE Arthur Dietrich?"
AD: "Yes."
TT: "My goodness, sir this is such an honor! I'd never thought that I'd meet someone as great as you!"
Rest of the ol' 12th precinct stands around with gaping jaws.

Good post, and I'd add that I'm looking to see how the oddly emotional Whitner performs tomorrow after the news of his contract negotiations. I say oddly because while I really do respect, appreciate and admire his emotions being on display and believe that he truly wants to be a Bill- which is something this team needs more of- I can see it being like a breakup you didn't see coming, when you think the person is just as into you as you are them, and therefore you turn those positive emotions into negative, apathetic, near childish emotions. I could see him coming out half assed and laying a dud tomorrow.
As a coach, I'd then put George Wilson in and part ways.

I had the good fortune of seeing the Captain live at Buff State on Halloween, 1977. I still have the ticket stub. I have never heard such organized chaos in my life, and I've seen Pere Ubu. Too bad I was too young to catch Spike Jones, as Beefheart didn't fire guns as part of the song. Frank Zappa seems lullaby-like in comparison.
Even though there were several different band members, their rendition of Big Eyed Beans From Venus just nailed it.

Imho, we are still maybe 2 years away! What we lack are elite players at almost every position! Look over our entire roster and we have 1! Kyle Williams and he is beast with no one to compliment his play! Just look at the teams in our divison! They have studs at more than one position! The bills simply don't! Average good core players, but no studs!!
Would you please stop using exclamation points after every sentence?

Actually it is possible. My science teacher back in 8th grade lost his left ring finger while hanging up Christmas lights. He fell off the ladder and on the way down, it managed to get caught on some point in the ladder that ripped his finger clean off.
Fitz is right handed. He'd just rub some dirt on the stub and go back out and throw a TD.
