  1. I'm planning a trip for the MN game. Should I even bother trying to get 10 tickets? Pick another game?

    Opinions?

    Thanks

10 tickets will cost you. But if you just need a couple you won't have a problem. Buffalo is full of candy asses that won't stay up past 11 on a work night, trust me.

  2. That booth is a work in progress and I hope as Tony K grows into his role, Theismann has the good sense to shrink some. Tony K is a special talent with a light touch (even when he is on the needle) and in that three man gig is the LEAST replaceable. Quality analysts and play by play men are not a tough get.

Best Mr. Tony radio bit was running his "Snackdown" up against Rome's annual "Smackdown" in which his listeners would talk junk food for a few hours (accompanied by Rome style sound effects). Simple counterprogramming, clever without being mean spirited.

Oh my word, I think Kornheiser is THE biggest joke to step into the booth in the history of MNF. It just goes to show how different peoples tastes can be.

  3. Specifically, what matches do you see in the Bills favor?

Both teams seem to have healthy Offensive and Defensive lines.

On Defense the Bills are down a starting LB (Spikes) and Strong Safety (Bowen).  The Bears Offense is still missing one WR (Bradley) but Moose, Berrian, and Davis are doing OK without his help right now.

On Offense, the Bills look healthy, as does da Bears Defense.

So on the injuries front, the only difference would appear to be that the Bills D seems to have a slight disadvantage against da Bears O.

Da Bears Offense has finally started rolling.  Our WRs have the speed to get separation and the TEs have good hands to catch the dump-off passes when the WRS are covered up.  Surprisingly, the weak spot is our running game.  But that hasn't really hurt us yet.  No one has been able to shut down our passing game yet, but sooner or later someone will.  It's just a matter of the right team having enough game film to study.  So our running game has to become a priority again.

Our Defense is lights-out.  Very fast.  They REALLY fly around the field.  But that means that they can be worn out by an opponent that manages to control the clock, as the Bills have been doing this season.  Under the cover-2, they'll give up small gains but prevent the big play that keeps a drive going.  They're also good at takeaways with 4 INTs and 6 recovered fumbles so far this season.

The weak spot is our running game? McGahee leads the league!

  4. I wouldn't be too sure of that.  Getting ready to face a QB that has just thrown for 300 yards in two straight weeks.  Not to mention two recievers who have just lit up Tennessee and New England.  All of this despite a lack of a running game.

Don't sleep on the Jets, or it will be a long day on Sunday.

Very true, the Jets are also better than most give credit for.

  5. First of all this is just some BS that Peter King is assuming has carried over from last season.  Last Season there might have been a hint of truth to this.  This year JP won the damn job in an outright three way competition.  He won the job and was given the same chance as the other two to come to camp and show a new coaching staff what he could bring to the table.  I just don't see too many guys in our locker room being on the Kelly Holcomb bandwagon anymore.

That doesn't mean they like him.

  6. I hope they keep him. He's got a lot of potential, although he hasn't shown a lot in preseason. Think he'll get cut?

I am confused, why do you think he has a lot of potential if he hasn't shown a lot in preseason. I would rather keep an extra lineman for depth than keep an extra safety.

  7. Sorry guys, I am a big optimist but the Bills are not going into Foxboro opening day and beating the Pats. They are looking very sharp in pre-season, two excellent RB's that are going to pound defenses. Brady will be picking apart our cover 2 all day. Pats 34-24.

  8. Can you please try to convince me even more how ignorant and mornic you could truly be?

I started with my first post as a joke, then you have to challenge me and my methods of judgement. Not a good idea.

As for me watching football; I've been watching this sport since i was in dipers, and i have been judging talent in this sport since probably around 5th grade.

My comment was well thought out, where as this one i am replying to sounds like the reaction of a bitter man who either is short in height, or short in other areas. It was a harsh and stupid reaction and i think the best thing you can do is relax, go back to your corner, let the air out of your tires, and face reality.

The following two paragraphs are an excerpt from a robotic arm that frequents the site...

"Is there a relationship between taking offensive linemen early and winning? Not according to my analysis. I looked at how many offensive linemen each team took in the first two rounds of the draft, from 2001 - 2005. I then compared that number with each team's winning percentage in the 2005 season. There was no meaningful relationship between the two (R^2= -0.015).

This surprised me, because I'm firmly convinced a team needs a good offensive line if it's going to win games. Thoughts?"

Where could these successful linemen on these successful teams come from? Could they be free agents from other organizations that are given a second chance? Probably some atleast?

Aaron Gibson may make this team, but certainly does not go in this first line of cuts.

Boondick is wrong but doesn't want to admit it.

  9. I want this guy to be our QB.

    1. Great with the press.

    2. Experienced (played with FARVE!)

    3. Can we really trust JP?

    4. Great arm (better than JP, I think)

    5. More likely to lead this team.

We can't take anything you say seriously with that fruitcake playing the drums in your avatar, what a ferry.

  10. I thought DJ and Marv would of released Lindell by now. I always thought he only stayed around because of TD and his pride. I think Paul Edinger was recently released and I think he would be a good, bad weather kicker. If we are starting over, lets include the kicking game.

Is anyone else confused by what type of offense we are going to run? At first, it seemed like run,run and more run.  Now we read aout Steve Fairchild and  how well the QB's are throwing the long ball. How can a team with an inexperienced QB and a terrible line not focus heavily on the run???

Who here is sick of Willis???? He seems like a typical  cocky punk who doesn't seem to want to play for the team anyways. It makes me so mad that our stud running back is too good to work with the team for the OTA's. F - him. and all  the idiots from the U that train together.  I would gladly take Lionel Gates as the starter or anyone  who plays with passion and is proud to be a Bill. I don't think he is a Marv type player and I hope he  is shown the door.

For some strange reason, I have a feeling that JP is going to do much better this year. No reason for it , other  then because  Jerry (IDIOT) Sullivan wrote about it the other day.

Can't the News do better then this clown Jerry Sullivan ??? He seems like a bitter man who takes his anger out in his columns. He is like the guy who wasn't an athlete growing up and still holds in that anger as an adult. It is so hard to read his column.

My last point. John Murphy is not a good play by play man. I listen to audio of other team announcers and Murph is bad, in my opinion. Once again, if we are righting this wrong, can Murph! Bring in someone with passion and someone with energy. Make this team sound fun and exciting even if they really put us to sleep.

Is that Fred Flinstone and Bam Bam in your avatar?
