my prayers go out to the Herrion and 49er families. things like this and korey stringer a few years ago kinda put things in perspective when i think about my obsession with the nfl.

Where's former enforcer Dane Jackson when you need him?..lol. Anyone remember when he played a few games up from Rochester? I'll never forget playing Philly at the Aud one time and the game got out of control about a minute before the 2nd period ended. There was already like 3 fights that game then Jackson beat the crap outta someone with about 40 sec left in the 2nd period. Then like 20 sec after play resumed Barnaby got taken out in front of the net and chos ensues. May comes flyin in, everyone starts fighting. Barnaby's down and the goalie (Garth Snow I think) pokes him, then he jumps up and beats the shznit out of him. Fighting goes on for like 10 min. Barnaby and Brind'Amor battled for about 5 min alone. Trefilov came down and fought Snow (Trefilov got killed I think), and they ended the period early to figure out penalties and stuff. Don't know why that random game popped into my head but man it was crazy.

Loved that one from the Jets game, and I forgot about that incredible one handed one he reached back for and hauled in during the Fins game in Miami. Only like a 12 yard reception but man it was sweet.

Watching that just got me even more pumped for the season. One thing I noticed was how timid and skittish Bledsoe looked throughout the entire year. Pat...pat pat...When watching those highlights again, I saw a ton of crappy spirals and off target passes. Made me feel a little better about JP. This TEAM will win games this season just like last year. I think we're in store for a fun season, especially if we don't bomb at the beginning. On a side note, anyone catch the Dolphags 2004 video yearbook right before the Bills? It was laughable at times. They didn't even do the game by game analysis type thing. The show was mostly about this years team improving under a new coach with some highlights from their couple wins in between lol...Oh yeah the best comments were about Travaris Tillman solidifying the D and AJ "touchy" Feeley rising to the challenge of being the starting qb.

I think it speaks volumes about our society that people purchasing a car game appear to need sexually oriented amusement within such a game and that manufacturers provide it.
I think that speaks volumes about people who give their biased opinions about things they obviously know nothing about.

Hootie played for free this past Saturday night in Buffalo down by the naval yard. A couple of my friends went and said it wasn't a bad show for free at least. I can't remember what they said but it might have just been Darius Rucker now that I think about it.

Just found out this past weekend that I'll be attending my first home opener. I'm so phyched. The atmosphere at the Ralph must be crazy. On Sept. 11th I'll have my drinking shoes on early, thats for sure.

lol I know it seems insane...I did manage to turn her into a big Bills fan though. Watches the game with me every week at the bar, knows the players, loves going to the Ralph. Even bought a Mcgahee jersey a couple weeks ago. Figured I better hold on to her for a bit...haha

haha you're right on about that one. Bmw's, lexus', Benz's all over. The girls here are amazing and I'm lucky I got one now that I've been with for close to 2 years. She probably falls in the category of the more traditional Miami student that you're speaking of..

Hard to not like a player like Bruschi off the field. Hopefully he recovers and does whats best for his family. On the field, I suppose it can't be bad for the Bills chances against the Patsies.

Hey trust me I'm not the typical "Miami Kid." I come from a middle class family in WNY and I'm here almost entirely on loans. I'll be paying them off forever but hopefully it'll pay off in the long run. Now the other 90% of the kids here....probably a different story.

lol thanks for the suggestions. We're just looking to not freeze to death and not have to make the 40 min drive home completely wasted. With some of the guys I'm going with I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them doze off in a front yard, its happened before. Udonkey, maybe I will see ya on the road as I will be headin home from Oxford the night before or early on Saturday (friday is our last day of finals). I know a couple UC students by the way.

I'll be attending the Broncos Saturday night game with 9 of my friends. We're a bunch of broke college kids who will be looking for a couple relatively cheap hotel/motel rooms to crash at after the game. We're all pretty heavy partiers and we plan on tailgating for 6 or 7 hours before the game, so by the time the game is over none of us will have any business at all getting near a car. If anyone has some suggestions, that would be great. Thanks!

If you enjoy rides Cedar Point is well worth the couple hour drive. I've gone every summer the last few years and even bought a season's pass last summer. They have 16 roller coasters including the tallest and fastest one in the world (top thrill dragster) and another one that held the same title a couple years ago (millenium force). Overall, there's about 8 or 9 coasters alone that you can go on over and over and not get sick of.

I've been lurking around the board for a while now but finally decided to sign up and post. I may be wrong but doesn't Ron Edwards actually weigh more than fat Pat? He could end up being a nice "clogger" to compliment Sam's explosiveness. Anyways, I think that our D will be just fine next year with an Edwards/Anderson rotation.
