Funny. You and your ilk blame Trump for the deaths. He was only going off of what Fauci told him.

Okay Pinocchio.  Something tells me that Fauci never gave advice to hold maskless rally's or super spreader events at the White House.  That's probably a big reason why Trump got Covid.  Something tells me that Fauci never suggested HCQ as a cure.  Something tells me Fauci never suggested injecting disinfectant.

    Biden’s Misleading Vaccine Boasts

By Lori Robertson, Eugene Kiely and D'Angelo Gore

In remarks at a Pfizer manufacturing site, President Joe Biden made misleading claims while boasting about his administration’s progress in getting Americans vaccinated against COVID-19.

Biden claimed that the Trump administration had “failed to order enough vaccines.” It had contracts in place for plenty of vaccines for all Americans, provided other vaccines gained authorization; Biden increased the orders from the two companies with authorized vaccines.

The president claimed there was “no real plan to vaccinate most of the country” when he took office. There was indeed a plan to acquire and distribute vaccines. The Biden administration has done more on increasing vaccination sites and vaccinators.

Biden exaggerated when he claimed that vaccinations have “nearly doubled” on his watch. Even measured at its peak, the seven-day rolling average has gone up 67%.

He said Moody’s Analytics estimated that if his full COVID-19 relief plan becomes law, “the economy will create 7 million jobs this year.” But the financial services firm said 3.5 million of those jobs would be created regardless.

Biden said without his COVID-19 relief plan, 40 million Americans would lose their benefits under the federal nutrition program. To add context, Biden’s plan would extend a 15% benefit increase enacted in December for an additional three months.

Can't be.  These fact check organizations only went after Republicans is what I've been lead to believe.

Your first question was aggressive and condescending, and asked me a closed ended question about my intellect.  I addressed that as I saw fit, and that you perceived it as a dodge reveals you might not understand what a dodge actually entails.

Your second attempt  was a closed ended question about the timing of presidential proclamations of a return to normalcy.

So, while some of the words are similar, the questions are different.

I simply wondered why the question changed.

The questions are the same, at least that was the intent.  It was a yes or no answer. Your intellect would only be in question if you answered one way.

    You have continued to dodge.

On the subject referenced, I think the economy is opening regardless of what Biden says when he can string the words together to make sense.  I think I complied with governmental mandates and suggestions and as time progressed, have seen enough hypocrisy and stupidity to last a decade or more, so I’ll weigh it out and strike a course that makes sense for me.   If hiding in the basement with the lights off until a mid-September presidential update works for others, I can respect that.

You dodged the question.  Do you think anyone can give you an exact date on when this would end and we would return to normal?

Oh, I see, as long as the Orange Man was President, you didn't trust the vaccine, but now that the Grey Man is President, you do. Well imagine that.  No...this isn't political. Of course it's not.  You must have talked to the same scientists that Kamala did when she swore on national TV she wouldn't get the vaccines the Trump Administration worked so hard to provide, only to see her be the first one in line to get the shot after the Grey Man took office. Follow the science....my arse.

Not everything comes down to how somebody feels about Trump.

I listened to what scientist and doctors said.  I saw their confidence in the vaccines, leading by getting the vaccine.  I researched.  I learned.  I changed my mind.

How did you come to the conclusion that white male Rs are skeptical (I’m assuming by that we mean “won’t get it”)?

I’ve read quite a few reports that cynicism regarding vaccines runs quite high in the black community in general.

I shared this poll last week.

The answer Fauci gave was in response to question Chris Wallace asked citing a poll from NPR.

"Among Republican men, 49% said they did not plan to get the shot, compared with just 6% of Democratic men who said the same. Among those who said they supported President Trump in the 2020 election, 47% said they did not plan to get a coronavirus vaccine compared with just 10% of Biden supporters."

Fauci didn't go out to criticize Trump in the interview.  He answered a question.  He also gave Trump kudos for operation warp speed.

I’ve become highly skeptical of the information that Das Fauci shares, and know many people of various political ideology that are cautious of the vaccine due to the speed it was developed.  However, the general consensus in my admittedly small circle is that they will get vaccinated.

I think Fauci is held to an absurd standard.  It is a novel virus.  Opinions and guidance would be based on knowledge of past respiratory diseases and change as we learn more about the virus.  As a result, guidance can and will change over time.  Nobody can reasonably pick a date on when the pandemic will end, just like nobody could possibly have predicted VE day would be on May 8 1945 or VJ day would be on August 15 1945 one year into WW II.  Big Blitz's demands and whining is just ridiculous.

As for skepticism, I get that.  Last Fall I would have said I wouldn't trust the vaccine unless Donald Trump, Mike Pence and every appointed member of the Executive Branch were vaccinated first, on TV, by doctors chosen by the MSM.  However, I work with a lot of scientists, so I listened to what doctors and scientists were saying about the vaccine and I saw them get the vaccine.  That told me they had confidence in the vaccine.

I shared last week that half my family are vaccine phobic.  They shared some videos from America's Frontline Doctors, an endless source of misinformation that a darlings to the right wing news propaganda stations.  I did some fact checking on their claims and am convinced these vaccines are extremely low risk.  In fact, I got my first shot earlier today.

Not indefinite, just until President Biden tells you what you can and cannot do.  Sit tight until July-ish. Plus or minus.  More or less.

In most situations.  If I was an airline pilot I wouldn't want to tell my passengers we'll probably arrive safely at our destination.

I was on a United flight once when the pilot told us we were losing fuel, didn't know why and couldn't make it to our destination.  We ended up landing at an airport that was closed at the time.

The problem is that there is an assumption being made by China's top stooge in the deep........I'm sorry the top epidemiologist in DC that Republicans need to get vaccinated, immediately makes an already ugly politicized disaster that this is even worse, by being even more f....ing divisive

    He's garbage.  A total POS.

The response to China's top media stooge in America's absolutely ridiculous question (as we approach 100 million shots) about Trump voters and vaccines, after all that we've let happen and endured is a truly---how freaking dare that clown btw---its another pathetic example...another one....of what a sham this.

He has no business asking that and this fraud's response should have been "this isn't political you **s hole the American people are doing a truly great job and we're almost at the end until I (because he's president of the world) move the goal posts again."

    Thank you.

What assumption are you talking about?

It is a fact that Republicans, particularly white men, are the most skeptical of this vaccine.  People often follow leaders.  Trump is THE leader for that subset of the population.  Had he endorsed getting vaccinated loudly, and demonstrated such by getting the shot on camera like all the other past presidents did, I'm sure there would be less reluctance from that group of people.  But that is one of Trumps largest flaws.  He is not a leader.

For all your incessant whining about wanting to get back to normal,  it is hypocritical to object to the quickest way to do so.

Fauci warns of another COVID-19 surge, urges Trump to tell supporters to be vaccinated

Asked by Wallace what could be done to combat vaccine skepticism in the U.S., particularly among Republicans, Fauci urged Trump to tell his supporters to get vaccinated.

"It would be very helpful for the effort for that to happen. I’m very surprised by the number of Republicans who say they won’t get vaccinated," he said.

"I think it would make all the difference in the world" if Trump were to express support for vaccines, Fauci said. "He’s a widely popular person among Republicans."

"I just don’t get it, Chris, why they don’t want to get vaccinated," he added.

During a separate appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Fauci said it's "disturbing" that Trump voters are choosing to not get vaccinated.

"We've got to dissociate political persuasion from commonsense, no-brainer public health things," he said.

"[Vaccines have] rescued us from smallpox, from polio, from measles," he added. "What is the problem here?"

To me, this is the best reason I could think of to do the independent commission.

you can yell the truth at someone who has been conned all day long, but exposing the liar is the best way to un-sow the seeds of descent.

"If you’re looking for a way to convince people there was no fraud, having a commission chosen by Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, and John Roberts is not going to get you to where you want to go. It ain’t going to work."  Lindsey Graham Floor Speech 1/6/2021.

Seriously, there is a huge problem in this country with people looking for news that what they want to hear or validates what they want to believe.  Just look at how Fox News rating dropped and OAN and Newsmax ratings spiked after the election.  And Fox News was hardly objective.  They just weren't as bat ***** crazy.  The only thing that would make a difference would be if Trump acknowledged the truth and if Republicans would stop abetting or supporting his lies.

The only thing a commission would do is validate Trumps lies at some level.   People will think there must be some truth, otherwise why would there be a commission?  It would also buy some time so people forget about the lie.

this can’t be right. What kind of violent extremist insurrectionist forgets to bring guns to a coup ?

A Trumptard.  It takes a special kind of stupid to fall for an obvious conman's BS, believe the election was stolen, show up in DC with helmets, body armor, tactical uniforms, bear spay, mace, baseball bats, a spear, zip ties for handcuffing people, a gallows for Mike Pence but forget to bring your gun.

And I'm saying to should need to prove you are who you say you are when you vote.  Just because Joe Blow registered to vote doesn't mean the person showing up to vote saying he's Joe Blow is actually him.

Fine.  I agreed with that.  However if that is a requirement, the types of acceptable IDs should be broad and easily, in some cases freely obtained.  I again bring up the example of Texas where a gun registration is acceptable but a student ID from a state university or college is not.  Both should be acceptable as both " prove you are who you say you are".  The only reason why both aren't accepted is because the Republicans know college voters would disadvantage them at the polls.

But a difference is that interest rates are at historic lows right now, making that borrowing more feasible. $1.9 trillion today at 0-0.25% interest is not the same as $1.9 trillion at 1.25-1.5% interest.

Plus.... ya know.... Pandemic with millions still unemployed and millions more who've dropped out of the workforce.

Is this debt being financed on long term or short term bonds?  Do you realize that the interest rates are artificially low because the Fed keeps printing money and buying bonds, forcing rates lower?  What happens if inflations rears it head and the Fed can't continue to print money like this?

I'm not trying to take away any thing i don't know WTH your talking about . I didn't say i agree'd with what she said in the thing you posted .

Voting in a "American election" should be for ALL American citizens only and just like when you get pulled over you show ID or when you make a large purchase like a house you have to prove you are who you are or a car you should have some kind of proof that you are the person you say you are & that when you vote you are citizen of the country which you are voting in and that you are alive .

We as American citizens can't go to Mexico, or Canada & vote just because or country boarders theirs hell from what i understand you can't even purchase property in some countries if your not a citizen . And if you decide to stay in a Foreign country as a "Foreigner" you need a visa to stay any length of time to prove who you are !

So whats so wrong with showing ID and proving your are actual citizen of the country which you are voting in ?

Here's a question have you ever had your info stolen like a debit or credit card ? And if so did it piss you off ?  if not then your 1 of a kind .

I have twice and i was not at all happy so if someone is doing the same thing in some instances using some one else info when it comes to voting why shouldn't that be fixed ?

Should you have to provide proof of citizenship every time you vote?  Highly unnecessary as that could be done once when you register to vote.

With respect to showing ID, I have no problem with it when it comes to in person voting but if that is a requirement, the types of IDs that are accepted should be wide and the ability to obtain an ID should be free and readily accessible.  The ID laws are being used as voter suppression.  In Texas, they accept a gun permit but will not accept and ID from a State University.  This makes little sense if all you are trying to do is prove "you are who you say you are".  I don't see ID being necessary for mail in voting since ballots are only sent to addresses of registered voters and there is a signature matching requirement, which should suffice.
