1. Travis left on bad terms. His poor judgment in his personal life led to harsh criticism, and he didn't come out looking great when McGahee transitioned. He was immature, but for most his career he played with all heart for Buffalo. He's blown up the last two weeks for Tennessee, and I just wanted to give him props. Maybe see how others look back on him after some times past.

    What is props short for?

  2. Just my observation of viewing this message board this year.It seems that alot of you out there are more concerned with being right about your pre season predictions. It's cool to be right and all but everyone that responds to any or all positive threads by saying your not right and I am or here is why just isn't right. My opinion is just as valid as yours and has just as much chance of happening as them lossing the rest of the games from here on out.

Fellas we all have a great time rooting for the Bills but the mood on this board just gets down right depressing sometimes.

10 and 6 and a shot at the playoffs. Both the Pats and Ravens games are winnable. The Jags and Chargers games could go either way as well.

As a fan you have to get over what you saw today. We were outclassed by a team at there house.Once it got to 13 down it was too much pressure on this young team. However I have still seen enough from this team to tell me that they could go on a win streak.

It makes no sense to me to give up on this season. And why do I have to accept the whole rebuilding thing. This team could make the playoffs believe it.For anyone to say we have zero chance the best I can figure you either A hate yourself B Hate this team C Hate a Player on this team or D just can't allow yourself to have fun with this game.

You heard it here 1st playoffs baby.Who's with me

    GO BILLS

  4. In the Jaws story they made mention of a short comming of JP I hadn't heard before. It was about his how tall he was.Saying that maybe he was too short.Isn't he like 6'3" and how freakin tall do you need to be?I know Big Ben is 6'5" but that is only 2 inches I mean come on.

Maybe I don't know what I am talking about. But I would be interested on some of your takes on if you feel this is an issue or not.

  5. I would also like to state the I think that Holcums Arm is the same as my brother. He would take an opposing stand on any subject as long as he thought that he could keep the argument brewing.HA can't possibly believe that KH is a resonable solution for the Bills. But hell I've been wrong in the past maybe he does think Kelly is the answer.

  6. The worst thing about KH is that he has no upside.  Absolutely none.  He was not brought into to Buffalo to contend for a starting job.  His role was to backup an injured Losman.  If Kelly becomes the annointed starter, it's an admission that the Bills have nothing, no prospects, nothing at the QB position.

I agree with your opinion 100%.KH is the same as saying Losman is no Tim Couch.

  7. Just something to add to the mix on how big market teams work.My brother is a huge Redskins fan and has season tickets. For 5 seats he was paying around 3400 dollars. This year those same seats cost him 4800 dollars.

He couldn't swing that much of an increase so he sold his seats this year on e-bay and was able to get face value for the package.Snyder is basically raping his fan base because he can.We have the cheapest seats in town so why not sell the Ralph out to show what what great fans we have.Good product or not we need to sell out the stadium to prove that we care about the team just my 2 cents. But we have it very good all things considered Ralph isn't that bad or atleast not as bad as Snyder and crew.

My brother and I come to 1 game a year in Buffalo and hope that we can continue to do so for years to come.

  8. It has always been easy for me to figure out what to do with my son....he is virtually maintenance free in a lot of things....good student, other kids dont mess with him....good kid....

My 10 year old daugher on the other hand I am at a loss...usually my wife handles it but she can get a little crazy when people do stupid crap and so I become the level headed parent.  A little background.

6 months ago I came home and found out that my daughter had been suspended form school for a couple of days for fighting.  Now....this is just a flat out oddity because my daughter is NOT the physical type....the exact opposite of my son actually, but she is a awesome kid.

So I go to her to get the story and it was confirmed by some other kids I talked to who were there.....basically another girl at her school (black not that it makes any difference one way or the other) who I guess had not taken a liking to her when she arrived from another school or something like that but my daughter never mentioned it....as time went on things escelated and ended up with a day where this girl waited for her after she got out of class and struck her.  Since the principle wasn't there and there were enough witnesses to say they were fighting (the black girls friends but more on that in a minute) they both got a 2 day suspension and were supposed to stay away from each other.

I went down to the school to find out what was going on...the principle knows my daughter and knew damn well that this was not like her.....but he had to be "fair" about the situation even though (and he made the mistake of letting this slip in our conversation which became very heated after) that this girl was basically in and out of trouble even at this young age probably due to her home life.  I left the principles office PO'd, angry, and feeling a little helpless....the principle assured me that he would be on the look out for any more trouble.

Fast forward to this morning.  My daughter didn't want to go to school and was faking sick....I eventually got out of her that she was scared because she was being threatened and harrassed by this girl and her friends (or should I say the witnesses of the "fight" that had happend months back) my wife went to the school to talk to the principle yet again about it and even while she was sitting there trying to explain the situation the "gang" walked by mad dogging her once again.....the principle pretended not to notice which flat out infuriated my wife.

What to do?  Serious answers only please

    614350

Truley only one thing to do.You have to your local board of education and file a complaint to someone in a higher position.Who knows maybe your situation was not the first this principle has ruled like this and may have other complaints similar to yours.

  9. no...we need offensive line and defensive tackle.  REPEAT offensive line and defensive tackle.  We go nowhere...nowhere...nowhere...until we solve those problems.  JP does nothing...willis is mediocre...we miss the playoffs.  offensive line...defensive tackle.

    612463

I'll start off by saying that I agree with you to a point.Yes we do need to upgrade both lines.Which by the way could be done via free agency.BUt with this high of a pick you can't just limit yourself by what it is you need.If the only no miss guy left on your board is not a position of need and you can't trade out of the pick you must take what you as a group feel is right not what you have forced yourselves into.

I think it would be a great mistake just to draft OL or DL this high if the right player isn't there to be had.I saw someone post on another thread that "hopefully" you don't have that many chances to draft this high up so you need to make it count.

I say get the best man out there or just trade out of the spot if your needs outway getting the best player at #8.

I would be more that happy with Huff or Vernon Davis If we decided to pass on Nagata at 8.Or if he wasn't there.

  10. If I were the Bills coaching staff I'd give JP Losman a DVD of Tom Brady's passing attempts the last four seasons. I'd also give him a DVD of John Elway's, Brett Favre's and Kurt Warner's passing attempts of their last two best seasons. Showing Losman what he did wrong this past season is fine but he needs to see what real time decision making looks like from the best guys in the NFL over the past 10 years.

As for Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish, they needs to study up on Steve Smith's techniques. Give them a DVD of all of Smith's plays for the entire 2005 season.

For McGahee, I'd give him a DVD of Walter Payton. Show him why the stiff arm was and is still a fierce weapon for a runningback. Payton never had a good line yet still had an HOF career.

I really hope these guys are primed to help this franchise turn the corner towards another run of glory years.

Do you think the Tom Emanski films will do him any good?I mean if he can produce back to back AAU national championships and have the support of Fred McGriff than I say why not give it a shot.

  11. Very good post. Pittsburgh got to and won the Super Bowl because it had a complete team. During the playoffs, the running game often wasn't there, so Big Ben stepped up and played lights out football. In the Super Bowl, the passing game wasn't working, so other parts of the team made up for it with their excellent play. It's true Losman could have provided the equivalent of Big Ben on a bad day. The same could be said about just about any QB in the league. What remains to be seen is whether JP can step up and play the way Roethisberger did en route to the Super Bowl.

    597622

True it has yet to be seen by JP.But lets give the kid the tools he needs to succed before we give up on him. That's all I'm trying to say.I think you can agree that he did show flashes of being a good QB when he wasn't getting beat to death.

  12. Friggin Bills fans, can not see the forest from the trees

What's the difference between Buffalo and Pittsburgh ?

A significanlty better OL, and a D that is over 10x's better.

Put JP behind a well oiled machine like Pittsburgh and you would see a different QB.

Put Big Ben behind the Bills and you would hear Bills fans claiming BR is the biggest bust ever.

JP has some learning to do, and some experience to gain.. there is no denying that, but the Bills as a team have been so mis managed, and completely inepy on the OL, DL and coaching that no player at any position stood out.

    597110

This is what I was saying.

    Thank you for getting it

  13. Actually, I think Doug Flutie just got his ring...

Played like crap the whole game, but made a few big plays with his feet and a shovel pass for flair.

Of course, Ben is like 10 Fluties size wise....

    595755

But don't you agree that you could have gotten the same result from JP.He has shown the ability to make some plays with his feet and surely could have thrown the ball up for grabs like the pass to Ward .

  14. Don't bother rooting for your favorite team unless you have it on very good authority that they are the NFL elite's favorite team.

NFL, today you join the ranks of the WWE. Entertaining, but not real.

The saying goes opinions are just like a$$holes everybody has one. It's just yours is so wrong.Prove that this game was set up. I saw nothing to make me think that this game was rigged.

  15. As I watched tonights game I think that you will all agree with me that Big Ben had a very average game.Alot of guys here on this board drool all over Ben and wish he was in Buffalo.I saw nothing that he did tonight that JP couldn't do.

You see the difference here is not that Ben is that much better than JP but just that the team surrounding him is.So for every JP is a bust thread that is out there take a deep breath and look at what a great team in total Pittsburgh is.Team being the key word here.I'm not saying that if you put JP in Pitt you would get the same results but if Ben were here in Buffalo he wouldn't have a ring to wear.

Lets hope that Marv and company can put together as quality a team in Buffalo as they have in Pitt. And than we can all make an assumption about JP being a bust or not.But until then lets give the kid a shot with a quality O-Line and a Defense that can hold other teams down.

After watching tonights game I have new found faith that JP just might be the guy here in Buffalo if we can just get the right parts around him.Lets go Buffalo in 2006

  16. "Also as part of the new pricing, select season ticket sections will increase by $1.00 - $4.00 per game. Those sections include lower level sideline seats, upper deck center sections, club/premium sections, tunnel end zone sections and lower level sections in the scoreboard end zone.

Fans purchasing individual game tickets will also see an increase in prices ranging from $1 to $5 per ticket. New for 2006, the Upper Deck Corner (rows 21-38) sections will see a price decrease of $2.00 for individual game tickets.

Buffalo Bills tickets continue to be the least expensive in the league. At an average ticket price of $44.66 in 2005, Bills tickets represented the lowest average ticket price in the League. By comparison the average ticket price in the NFL in 2005 was $62.29"

They lowered the price on some upper deck seats from row 21 up and raised everything else. Rockpile seats went from $25 to $27 for seasons. Say goodbye to all the games being on local TV.

I live here in MD and if this pi$$es in your cornflakes.Than you would kill yourself having to buy Ravens season tickets. You first have to buy A PSL before you even have the right to buy seats.Come on dude it aint that bad.
