  1. So far we have seen 2 games, on the road no less. So now would seem like a good time to revise predictions. I am thinking 8-8:

at New England Patriots - L

    at Miami Dolphins - W

    NEW YORK JETS - W

    MINNESOTA VIKINGS - L

    at Chicago Bears - L

    at Detroit Lions - W

    NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - W

    BYE WEEK

    GREEN BAY PACKERS - W

    at Indianapolis Colts* - L

    at Houston Texans* - W

    JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS* - L

    SAN DIEGO CHARGERS* - L

at New York Jets* - L

    MIAMI DOLPHINS* - W

    TENNESSEE TITANS - W

    at Baltimore Ravens* - L

somewhere along the way i would expect to lose at least a game we think we should win, and hopefully upset someone.

  2. looks like old PK didn't watch as much of the pre-season games as we did. He probably caught a highlight or two on ESPN or NFL Network.

This is an old carry-over, he reported this same thing just as camp was getting started. He hasn't updated it since, and obviously things have changed.

If there are any vets on the team that think holcomb should start, they are blind and stupid.

  3. If you remember the guys at training camp were underhandedly backstabbing JP, and routing for Holcomb to win the job.

Now they are saying he deserves it, it is the best move for the bills and that the team should be better in the long run.

Complete about face on that one!

Some of the national media appears to be coming around on jp as well.

  4. He was ranked higher than Donte.

i like what i've seen/heard about Ko, and am excited he can be a good one.

But, RANKED HIGHER THAN DANTE??? I don't think that is true...who ranked Ko higher than whitner? Top 10 pick vs. 3rd round pick. I find that hard to billeive

  5. I seem to remember a lot of those reports on Losmna as well last year.  How did that work out.  He was worse than terrible, but even I admitted he should have started the whole year even if Holcomb was better.

Reports that losman DOMINATED the camp? I didn't hear anything like that last year

  6. I think holcomb has to go, one way or another. I would cut him if Nall beats him out, or if it is close. From the reports i've heard, there's still at least some players that would prefer holcomb (may have been pre training camp). Don't need another split lockerroom. Cut him and there is no more controversy.

  7. I for one am hoping JP is the starting QB this season. I am hoping he, by the end of the year, shows that he is a legitimate NFL starting QB. I don't have my hopes so high to think he is going to the pro bowl soon, if ever. A middle of the road QB would be best case scenario for now.

There are 4 things I take away from JP's performance tonight:

    1) His inaccuracy early is troubling.

    2) On at least 3 plays where Holcomb would have been sacked, he created space and time with his running ability. It is uncanny how can get out of a sure sack sometimes, avoiding a negative play. On 2 of those 3, the result was a 1st down. The other an incomplete pass.

    3) It was a good sign that, while he struggled early, he was able to overcome it. That's been a knock on him in the past...he looks good, and then he makes a bad throw goes into a shell. Well, this time he played his way out of it and looked good after playing poorly.

    4) Even on the throws that were inaccurate, he made the right decisions and was throwing to the right receiver. That decision making is a big thing. WR's also dropped a couple of balls that they should have caught (including Josh Reed on JPs 1st play, that would have been another 1st down against the carolina 1st team).

We'll see how he does next week.

  8. They practically never bring a player's rating down.  Anyone who was once good, remains good, in the world of Madden.  Isaac Bruce is an 89.  Priest Holmes is an 88, Curtis Martin is an 89!  It's worthless.

??? Priest Holmes was like a 94 last year. Sure they bring guys down. I thinkNate was ranked much higher last year also
