  1. do you guys have any idea what a prick Jim Kelly was back in the day? sure, he may not have been accused of rape, but those were different times. who knows what he got away with. and so far no charges have stuck with Ben.

not saying that Ben isnt stupid, but we've had worse on this team. and they are known as "Legends" for the Bills.

Jim Kelly ?? That was over 20 years ago, times have changed, things are different now.

If we pick a QB in round 1, would we be happy if he turns out to be as good a QB as Ben R ? My answer is yes. So you can take the known commodity in Ben R (warts and all), or roll the dice on a QB who is likely to fail based on statistics. Why is that even a question ? I go for the known commodity. I think the NFL WAY overvalues draft picks. Plus, a QB in the Top 10 will probably get a contract at equal or more $$ than Ben ? That is insane.

  2. While Allaire did study under Jones, that does not necessarily make him as good as Jones. The past couple of years have seen a large number of Bills wind up on IR or long stays on the disabled list. While injuries occur naturally from the nature of the sport, some of them seem related to poor conditioning (e.g., hamstring pulls, muscle strains, groins, etc).

OK, now we have dudes who think they are experts on strength and conditioning coaches in the NFL ? Give me a friggin' break!

  3. 1. Most Bills fans look at who the QB and coach is too much

    2. Most Bills fans are overly optimistic before the season and overly pessimistic when the slightest things go wrong

    3. Most Bills fans overvalue big things and undervalue small things...which means they are brainwashed by the idiots at WGR

    4. Most Bills fans believe they are the best fans in the NFL....they are no better or worse than anyone else

Put a cone at quarterback, I don't care and neither should anyone else. Losman, Edwards, Holcomb, Kelly or Hulk Hogan can't run an efficient, successful offense without a strong line and the fact is we have one of the worst in the league. Want accurate passing? Reduce the pressure on the QB and don't let him get hit every other play. Want a running game? Get some linemen that can zone block and watch Lynch average about 150/game. Its amazing the line pay doesn't get talked about more than it does here- I guess people are so narrow minded that they want to focus on the glamor positions...this isn't fantasy football, but too many have taken that up and forgotten how real football....and the real world works.....stay holed up in your little fantasy world then, and don't worry about what happens on the field.

Once the line is fixed, the coaching will look a lot better, whether it is Jauron, Phillips, Williams or Frosty the Snowman. With a good line, any of the coordinators we ran out of town- people that have had success in real towns- Pendry, Henning, Arians and Fairchild...will have their calls work alot better. Instead, we focus on the QB, which has never been the key to our problems....although we like to believe that because it makes us feel we are closer to the playoffs than we are....fact is, we aren't close at all- and we weren't during our 5-1 start against nuts and candy. Fowler, Preston and Walker all should be gone after this season.

And anyone who thinks Cowher or Schottenheimer could win with the type of linemen we have are kidding themselves

You are totally right. As they say, "IT ISN'T ABOUT THE X's AND O's, IT's ABOUT THE JIMMYs AND JOEs"

  4. OK, let me get this straight:

So Edwards has sucked for the last 2 months because of a concussion. We also hear that a "buddy" still has blackouts and migraines following concussions years later. A blackout would explain his many interceptions and bad games. So, if Trent is going to suck everytime he gets hit, we better cut him now and move on. This is the NFL, and the QB is going to get hit. And hit hard. Every year. If Trent doesn't have the toughness to get up, he is no use to us on the bench.

Look at his career at Stanford. And now he is missing game after game in the NFL, just like in college. Does anyone see a pattern here ?? He stands to miss 4-6 games every season. That doesn't = a competitive football team.

Why are you apologizing for Trent's awful play ? Making excuses ? Compared to bad play, it is more concerning to me if these excuses are true, and that he isn't able to bounce back from injury. Then it doesn't matter how much he might improve, it doesn't matter how good he is if he's sitting on the bench.

  5. I seriously think this was it for me when it comes to the Bills, after 15 years a diehard fan.

Instead of being miserable watching the Bills games and drinking beer, I will now be taking my wife and my kids to church on sundays. At least there I can still be miserable, but without guilt, knowing my kids will be learning right from wrong.
