  1. Say he's an a.hole, say he's a cry baby, but can say he's the best Wide Receiver today, yes he's older, but I'd to what ever it takes to bring in T.O.! not gonna have another player with his caliber come around here, so get what ever comes around. another statement bout T.O., he's never been in trouble with the law.

this team will be worse with him then without him. we already have a weak minded QB that we had to bring in a 3rd string back to be his back up to feel secure about his position. Hows he going to deal with Terrel tell him he has a rag arm and his grandmother could throw further than him. He has more drops than catches in most given games and we are pretty much a 3 and out team and need some one who can catch the ball for first downs not another deep ball guy since it doesnt fit our offensive philosphy or the skill ove the current QB

JUST SAY NO TO T.O.

  2. PFT is now reporting the Bills are chasing Owens.

We seriously cant be doing this...

THEY cannot be serious!!!! if its true i have even less confidence in this football organization. Flame a way all you want but you get rid of a cannon arm because your a dink and dunk team but you want to brin in another DEEP THREAT receiver for a QB who barely throws beyond the first down marker. Are we a vertical team or a rushing possesion team.

I dont want him here hes not a fit this team needs to take lessons from the pats they have a SYSTEM and only bring in players that FIT THAT SYSTEM!!!!

  3. Calm down. Schedule always looks tough when it comes out. How many people last year saw Seattle, San Diego, Jacksonville, and Denver on the schedule and figured those to be 4 losses? Turns out those teams were really not that good in 2008 after very good seasons in 2007. Same will happen to some of the teams on our schedule this year. I could see any of the following doing worse next year than they did this year: Jets, Fish, Bucs, Titans, Panthers, and Falcons. Saints are the Saints which means they could suck at any given time. Chiefs in their own house again for another possible bloodbath.

Doesn't look that bad to me. We could make the playoffs this year is how I see it.

    Go BILLS !!!

And who would have thought we would go 0-6 in the division were were just 4-2 in it pretty much washes.

  4. Damn, why do we have to play the Patriots* twice, again?

Think of the Pats as a measuring Tool to some degree with the execpetion of when get got Lawyer Malloy we have not been able to beat the we came close a couple of times but have not beat them. If we can steal 1 game away from the Pats it should give this team a major boost in their psyche.

Other than that i see a range of 6-10 the worse we do to a slight possibilty of 10-6 alot of things would have to go right for us to lean towards the 10-6 though. When we are already 0-6 in the division and its almost a given Trent will be down 3 games Fitz is not a winner either, We have tough games against playoff teams Mia ( iknow but still beat us twice),Indy, Tenn, New Orleans, Carolina then there 2 against the Pats,Atlanta, tampa bay and the Jets both had winning record I do see us splitting if not taking both games against the JETS Why did I say all that Dicks record speeks for itself only 2 wins in three seasons against winning teams.

Very beatable teams so far next year- KC, Jacksonville,Jets, Houston=4

Could go either way games: Tampa, Cleveland=1 ( based on 50/50)

Splits possible: Jets, Mia (though as I said before could sweep the jets influx QB)= 1 ( jets covered above)

Almost Impossible for our team to beat: Pats, Colts and I will throw in New Orleans I can envision Drew brees tearing us apart= 0

Hard to beat- Atlanta, Carolina, Tennese =0

It looks like another enduring season. Im not hopeful of the playoffs based on the reality of our tema and the teams they are up against. However, if players can imporve and coaches can coache better anyhting is possible I never thought they would have been 5-1 nor did I think the would only win 2 of their last 7 either.

  5. The time has come to get T.O. to the Bills. He has a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove that he is still an elite receiver and can get a team to the superbowl. This is just what we need. We need to have two great receivers, and Evans and T.O. would fit the bill.

:wallbash::censored::rolleyes: We would like our QB to grow more not Regress.

  6. no just that one game when he let Randy Moss score 4 touch down's on him, he's really a great shut down corner. I'm not saying he sucks, I'm saying he's an average Corner Back, and will probably always be a average Corner Back, he's good against wide outs his height, but he gets blown away from the larger Wide Outs, I.E. giving up 4 touch downs to Randy Moss in our house, in the 07 season

Rnady moss makes 95% of the corners in the NFL look like they suck. Typically when renady doesnt catch the ball is either becuase its overthrown or he dropped it.

Use a better example to state your case. I also agree he was the best corner we had the last two years.

  7. Ranked on down

Doug Flutie- CFL player no compensation

Drew Bledsoe = cost us 1st round pick

Trent Edwards= cost 3rd rd pick

    Jp Losman= Cost 1st, 2nd and 5th rd pcik

    Todd Collins= 2nd rd Pick

    Rob Johnson= 1st and 4the rd pick.

thats 6 QbS and 8 draft picks three 1st rounds: two 2nd rounds: one 3rd round: one 4th rd: one 5th round

Our best Qb came at no compensation of draft picks. Looking at this I know why we suck now Scouting Dept cannot get it right and we overpay to get underperforming talent. I will note my exception is Drew bledsoe he gave us instant creditbaility and was an asset in attraction free agents to our orginaztion and it only cost 1 pick in the first rd. The mistake was letting him go before the back up was ready.

  8. Torry Holt would look great in a Buffalo Bills uniform!

Report: Rams shopping Pace and Holt

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that league sources are convinced the Rams are shopping both left tackle Orlando Pace and wide receiver Torry Holt. The report says that once the early free agent buying spree calms down, there may be a market for Pace and Holt even if it is a mid to late-round pick.

Now that coles is out of the picture lets make it happen!!!! For Holt at the very least!

  9. That was in 96? Yeah, he performed better against us than RJ from what I recall. Losman seemed to go from "mere inexperience" to "he hasn't got it". Maybe Collins is getting the benefit of limited exposure on my ranking.

From my recollection of the 97 season of him starting Collins didnt llok like hed had anything out of the gate and regressed over the season that he was benched the final 2 games of the season if memory serves me well. Thats why in 1998 they released him wnet after flutie in the cfl and taded away our 1ts and 4th round pick for RJ who was a 4th rounfd pick in the same draft as Collins.

I know im in the miniority-but i disagree with the assement of JP.

  10. Here's the thing. Coles walked away from 6 Million a year guaranteed from the Jets. Now to me, that is a strong clue he just may have wanted more money then that. He came to Buffalo first, and I'm just spit-balling here, but my guess is that he conveyed that desire to Brandon and his circle jerks. No matter what we think Coles might be worth, Brandon knew what needed to be done to sign the guy. I read from "sources" Brandon offered 3 years at 6 Million a year? I'm not a math genius, but that's not more then 6 Million a year, it is the same.

Miami passed, surprised me, I thought for sure the Fins would sign him. But there was good old "cheapskate" Mike Brown, of all NFL owners, willing to give Coles an extra million dollars a year for an extra year in the contract. Who ever thought Mike Brown and the Bengals would "overpay" for a free agent? Small market Cincinnati?

Well, they did not overpay for Coles. They paid the right amount to sign him, according to him and his agent. Sure Brandon, Wilson, the circle jerks and even the vast majority of TSWers out here can sit around and laugh at the money the Bengals overpaid to get Coles. Bottom line? Brandon blew it when he had the chance to "overpay" for Coles himself. And if he would have offered Coles 28 Million dollars last week before he ever left Buffalo and signed him, I'm sure most of the fans out here would be freakin' happy about it, and not mocking out the Bengals right now.

    But that's just me.

Either way its done whos left that can really catch the ball and is worth 6mil or less a year???

  11. Sorry. Only time I watcj Edwards is when he plays the Phins and I don't think he played a full game against us this year so I can't really make an assessment of him, as I stated in the post.

But did you watch collins- he was painful to watch that season absolutley painful. Todd Collins force Levy into retirement he was that awful too watch.

  12. Sign Coles, don't sign Coles. Leonhard sucks, I can't believe the Jets signed Leonhard and we didn't. Extend Peters, or don't. Jauron needs to go, he deserves another year. Trent is our savior, Trent is just as bad as JP. Sign a backup QB, oh no - we signed Fitzpatrick. Bills better get moving and sign some FAs, I can't believe the bums we're signing.

I am baffled - the overall tone of TSW these days seems to be, no matter what the Bills front office does, basically we are destined to still suck.

    True or False?

Its always been a mixed bag arounf here even though it looke like ive only been a memebr since 05 I ahve actually been once since either 2000 or 2001 cannot recall I know there was server melt down in 05 and hat to reregister-anyway.

Itas always been- Rj should be in ther no Flutie should fluties to old blah balh we have complained about everyting this team has done or over joyed at waht this team has done.

Personally I am realisitic about this team now-not optimistic or cynical but realistic.

Coles would have been the addition we needed to improve our offense. We still need a vet possession receiver and the team knows and im glad the attempted to address it and hopefully still will.

As far s bums go- Hangartner seems like a great upgrade over fowler and preston at a reasonable price. Fitz patric dont know what to say there but I lik the concenus nobody to really take the job away, no division of the team who really wnats fitz to start-cannot say I do.

Florence is an equal to Greer at a fraction of the cost alows the team to keep Mcgee if they choose.

Baffled about the RB thing at the moment need clarity soon.

Their bringing in LBs which is what the team needs and migh trade for a LG the team needs.

I am not upset with waht the team is doing granted like some it would be ncie to get a name but the REALITY is we have to build something players WANT to come to first.

  13. QB Games Att comp % yads TDS Ints Sacks Rushing

    Drew Bledsoe 48 1531 905 59% 10151 55 43 140 133 2002-2004

    Doug Flutie 30 1063 598 56% 7582 47 30 48 885 1998-2000

    JP Losman 33 941 558 59% 6211 33 34 103 489

    2004-2008

    Rob Johnson 26 663 401 60% 4798 27 17 109 732 1998-2001

    Trent Edwards 23 643 396 62% 4329 18 18 35 166 207-2008

    Todd Collins 13 391 215 55% 2367 12 13 39 77 1997

Does not include the 19 spot starts by qbs like holcomb and Van pelt to name a couple.

Based on the above stats and not including winning records each Qb had a slightly different team-

My vote for the BEST QB is and I hate to say it becuae i dint think so at the time- DOUG FLUTIE Took into consideration least amount of sacks most amount of rushing Yards and one more season he surely would have exceed Drews TDS and YDS.

My Vote For Worse QB is ROB JOHNSON- Most sacks given up Very good td to int ratio but the sack machine gets my vote

On a different not- Though edwards is not quite the caliber of Drew or Doug he still has potential if we can give him a comparable supporting cast and stout defense those two had. Edwards right now in my opinion does rank 3rd with a chance of improvement.

  14. I was just doing some research on previous Drafts and came upon something quite interesting.

    The draft of 1995

    1995 - Quarterbacks

Rd Sel # Player School Team

1 3 Steve McNair Alcorn State Houston Oilers

1 5 Kerry Collins Penn State Carolina Panthers

2 45 Todd Collins Michigan Buffalo Bills

2 60 Kordell Stewart Colorado Pittsburgh Steelers

3 80 Stoney Case New Mexico Arizona Cardinals

3 84 Eric Zeier Georgia Cleveland Browns

4 99 Rob Johnson USC Jacksonville Jaguars

We selected Todd Collins with our 2nd round pick in the Same draft the Rob Johnson was a 4th round pick who we later traded for for a 1st and a 4th.

1998 was the year Todd Collins was released and Rob Johnson was traded for

I know our opinions of Rob Johnson Now- BUT Rob Johnson was clearly better than Todd Collins in that Draft and we could have saved a 1st and 4th and he would have had the grooming of Jim Kelly and he might have been better or we could have been reciepients of a 1st and 4th for him. Either way-Another miscue.

  15. The broncos quick hitting running attack and playaction game, and the vertical deep passing threat of their tall , fast receivers and strong armed quarterback enabled royal to get the ball underneath in space. They could have used Roscoe Parish to devastating effect.

Much like we were very successful with Peerless Price when we had Bledsoe, Moulds, Campbell running seam patterns and a successful running game.

HUH? Eddie royal was the number 2 receiver, Brand Marshal number 1 6'4, Eddie royal # 2 5'10 and Brandon stokely number 3 5'11. wheres all the heght and whats it got to do with the kids ability to catch the ball.

I would have rather had Eddie Royal wha can catch and return kicks then the over paid Parrish and don say uunderutilized hes no wes welker and much to his dismay he never will be a receiver above 4 on any team.

  16. Why are we even looking at this guy. He's only 5'11".

Its not the heght of a reciever its the receivers ability to get open and his hands to catch the balls. Outside of that the average corner is only 6 ft tall so their is no big deal.

Coles possess both the ability to get open and the ability to catch plus he has good blocking skills. Hardy is 6 5 or something and proved nothing last year. MArvin harrison is only 6ft Steve smith 5 10 if you go don the line youll se more 6ft under with solid stats the over 6ft with solid stats.

  17. Yeah, that's the image he has among JP haters, but there is just as much evidence that he is a pretty good player hamstrung by a system that simply did not fit him. You're as entitled to your opiniion as I am to mine, but it's nothing but an opinion. Don't confuse it with fact.

For the 10 billionth time, the one time they constructed the system around him, in 2006, a time when he had fewer games played than Trent now has by the way, he played quite well even though the Bills had much less talent on the roster than they do now, especially in the o-line and at RB. After they changed the system to play to his weaknesses, he played weakly.

  18. Where's the love for Josh Reed? Every time we needed a big play, Josh Reed stepped up. I know we need a bigger receiver, but don't forget Reed's productivity. I don't think we need Coles with this receiving corp:

    1. Evans

    2. Reed

    3. Stevie

    4. Hardy or Roscoe

Coles just brings another Reed/Evans type receiver. If the FO wants a new receiver, they should have gone for a big guy.

I still want Jenkins (just signed, won't happen) or Roscoe dealt. We have too many 5 foot nothin' 100 and nothin' receivers.

Reed is no number 2 hasnt been never will be-

    1. Evans

    2. we need a VET posession receiver

    3. Reed

    4 Johnson

    5. Hardy or Jenkins

    6. Hardy or Jenkins

Parrish needs to go wasting a spot and 4 mil for a punt return -great as he is at that- but still.
