  1. Williams loves to try and shoot the gaps and create huge upfield penetration. When he does, he'll get tackles for losses or disrupt the play. Other times he'll lose gap control and it will result in a 10 yard willis run
  2. makes me want to puke. Why are we so obsessed with JP managing a game. God forbid a buffalo bills QB does more than manage a football game. Everyone on this board is obsessed with this concept. manage this and magane that. I cant take it. With this team, we arent going to make the playoffs with a QB that can manage a game. Well our D is good. Yeah they're good. When they get a 3 and out. When they dont they bend over and let teams march right down the field for 7. They still havent come up with the big stop when we needed it. In the pats game in the 4th. In the jets game. We let that poor excuse of an NFL running back on the Jets (im too lazy and tired to look up his name) look like E. Smith mid 90s on their final drive in the 4th. Our last game against the Jets was this Bills team in microcosm. They have talent and potential. But they choke on the most crucial of plays. Someone wants to lock London long term again. Are you kidding me?!?! All we need is another blitzing LB to get stood up at the line by some scrub fullback. Sorry for being so pissed off. Ive seen my Bills talk the talk but not walk the walk in the past 5-6 years or so. Until they prove me wrong, this will be my *managable* opinion. Flame away. -tornado
  3. How about cutting down the number of game killing turnovers? So far this season he has 4 - safety plus a pic and 2 fumbles. Game winning stuff hes done so far? Here's the boards current favorite sexy word...he has *managed* the MIA game. Ugh. kill me. This board is so saturated with this word its disgusting. I hope I can *manage* watching JP create turnovers at the worst possible times this season. I want him to prove me wrong, but still hasnt *managed* to do that. Lets see something good out him this sunday. Please
  4. wish i had that same feeling...can i get some of what you're on??
  5. I am so sick of people throwing around words like "learning curve" etc. Its Lossman's 3rd year and still hasnt won us a game on his own. We need a QB that can do that. Bills fans need to stop babying him. It makes me want to puke. Until he proves to me that he can lead us on that game winning drive late in the 4th, we're not going to make the playoffs. JP, prove me wrong. I want you to buddy
  6. I def was a little hard on him yesterday, I'll admit that. Its just so hard to see us lose that game when could have beaten the jets by double digits IMO. I remember watching the plays develop in which Lossman got hit and fumbled. I saw the guy coming and knew both times the ball was going to go flying out. Im just pissed off because I do think he can be a good QB. Certain plays involving JP just make me sometimes. I want him to prove himself so bad, but before he does, Im not sold on him.
  7. Im not making a determination on him really. Im not saying yet that he will be a bust. Im saying that he hasn't proved that he can WIN games yet. Manage games, yes. Lose games, yes. Win games, not yet. Pennington has proved he can win games (as well as manage and lose). Until we get that QB, we aren't gonna make the playoffs. Im hoping as much as anyone that JP will turn into a QB that will win us games.
  8. I love how everyone is still giving JP a pass. This is his third year. He played bad enough to LOSE us the game yesterday. NE, lost us the game. MIA he was a non-factor. He cost us the JETS game. Go make yourself feel better by attacking me and finding others on this board that think JP is getting better. Until JP wins us a game, we wont make the playoffs. Go enjoy our 5-11 season.
  9. good point...who else wants to try and defend JP
  10. Dont try and tell me that you thought the Bills had a chance to win the game after we recovered that onside kick. I want to have that feeling that we're never out of a game with the QB we have. Unfortunately, I dont feel that way w/ JP
  11. He had his chance today. Nice pass on 4th down JP. Why didnt he scramble for the first. Im selling. I think I made my point.
  12. I think the responses thus far in the thread speak for themselves. In the first post I basically said that Im not sold on JP until he makes the big 4th quarter drives. In the responses that followed a few things were said: 1. lay off JP, hes got a learning curve ahead of him To this, I say: Are you kidding me? Hes been in the league 3 years now. Do you seriously want us to hold him by the hand and give him a pass by saying "its ok hes still learning". That would hold up the first year, and maybe the second. Thats it. 2. some bills fans are ridiculous - all they do is find the negative things about the W's. To this, I say: Sorry I have high expectations for my team. I want JP to win games for us at some point and not just manage them. This doesnt mean that I dont want JP to win. I do. He still needs to take that next step. 3. he's not a top 10 QB all he needs to do is not lose There are a bunch of non-top 10 QBs that come to mind that have led a bunch of game winning drives, e.q. Pennington. He has won the Jets a few games over his career but def isnt top 10 material. I want JP to do the same. Finally, not one poster in this thread actually stood up against and said dont worry, JP is capable of doing this or stood up for him. They made excuses for him (e.g. learning curve, all he needs to do is manage games etc.) or made sarcastic comments but didnt say JP can and will do this. Until he does, I will remain a seller of JPs stock. GO BUF and GO JP. --tornado
  13. I think he's done a good job thus far. I just want him to take it to the next level now. Don't make me seem like Im not enjoying how he has played in the last 2 games - I have.
  14. Right, I agree that he has the season to show it. What I want for him is to take his game above just "managing the game" to leading a comeback drive. I think its OK as a fan to set a somewhat lofty, yet realistic for our QB. Go JP.
  15. That's an awful analogy. Your ST's aren't expected to do that, while you're QB is expected to march you down the field. Your ST's should be expected, however, to put you in better field position. The percent of time the ST's will score a TD on a kickoff/punt return is much much less than the percent of time your QB will lead you down the field to score a TD or set you up for the game winning FG.
  16. Im not complaining. I would love it if we never once needed to come from behind in the 4th. But, this is going to happen. Be realistic. Until JP proves he can do this, Im not sold on him. Plain and simple.
  17. People can say all they want about how JP has managed the games thus far, no pics, etc. Until he marches the BUF O 80 yds in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter to either go ahead or tie a game, I am not sold on him. The Bills havent had a 4th quarter comeback really since HUMPTY (bledsoe) led us on a few in '03. Im rooting for JP as much as anyone, but until he executes the aforementioned, Im still selling JPs stock. --tornado
  18. Jake "No Mistake" Plummer have an extremely comfortable lead in the afc west
  19. Im gonna be in jersey on sunday...any chance I'll be able to see the game on TV without going to a sports bar?
  20. It pains me to say this, but GO FISH! If we win next week and the FISH win, there will be a three way tie atop the AFC least. In a completely unrelated note, I wanted to post about the coaching performance from the BUF @ NE game, but never did because I was too depressed to come on to the boards here. But, I thought the coaching staff did a really great job of slowing the tempo of the game way down. Tonight was a perfect example of how the Pats O (especially Brady) thrived when the tempo of the game was upbeat. I loved how Mularkey challenged that play right before the 2:00 warning of the 1st half...it totally slowed down the pats although it was painful for us fans to wait. I also loved how he took a timeout right before Vinateri kicked the FG. He also made the announcers look like retards after Vinny yanked it left. Thoughts? I was down before, but seein the PATS falter as they did tonight made me feel a whole hell of a lot better. GO BUF and GO FISH.
  21. my two favorite Irishmen, McGahee and McGee. I gaurantee we cover the -8.5 spread. Lets just not fall behind early on in the game. --tornado
  22. Shauds #s: 6 for 34...ill def take that especially when willis goes over 100. Id like to see a reverse thrown into the gameplan...the D will overpursue willis at points (esp. in the second half), so how about a nice end around to parrish or evans? Id like to see that next week...
  23. I re-watched the game last night although I was exhausted. One thing that jumped out at me were the blocking of the WRs on both TD passes. Moulds (pretty sure it was him) had an awesome block that sprung F. Freddie into the end zone. On the moulds TD, evans had a great block that allowed moulds to reach the corner of the end zone. I believe that both TDs directly resulted from superb WR blocks. Another thing that stood out was the great change of pace Shaud provided. Great 1-2 punch and I loved the production we got out of Shaud even if he did only run the ball a few times. Thoughts?
  24. can someone fill me in as to what Sully did after the TB game...i hadnt heard anything
