  1. Do you really think it would take though? Don't you think we're too set in our ways for the most part to accept a new league? You say the smaller markets might lose their NFL franchises. So let's say Buffalo, Cleveland, KC, etc lose their NFL teams and the CFL moves in. I'm not sure enough people would buy it. Most Bills fans I know would just give up on football if the Bills ever left town, and I'm sure that's the case in the other small market cities.

If the Bills leave Buffalo, not that it means much much, but I'm one that is done with the NFL

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. is the level of opponent PLUS Trent playing better. Means little exc that it gives some measure of confidence back to the team.

R U suggesting KC is worse at home than a Browns team that is on the road???? The Browns game was a give-a-way, a joke and the game that really killed the season.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need 4 out of 5 and a prayer!!!!

  3. and I have to say......REAL play action today, combined with hiding the ball.......rolling out........did they just think this stuff up THIS week..........?????

I don't know, but I'll say the KC QB looked better than Quinn, I really need to move on from the Browns game, but I'm having trouble, hey maybe another beer will do help

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. 1) Great to see lee Evans involved in the game today. Perhaps Fine might even develop into a weapon.

    2) The OL was superb. Butler still looks hurt, but the kid is out there playing his ass off. Peters? He is back in pro bowl form.

    3) Herm Edwards is a gentleman, but he put on a clinic today for bad coaching. Thanks Herm, for perhaps turning the Bills season around!

    4) When Kelsay is engaged by a blocker, time seems to stand still. This is not to upstage his knack for biting on all misdirection plays, and running full tilt away from the football. Still, even he mad a couple of tackles today. Nice!

    5) On the kickoff after the Bills td in the 1st quarter, Wendling hit the kick returner out of bounds. Dockery jumped offsides on the first play from scrimage. Sure....a win is a win, but they are going to have to be more prepared to beat better teams. Jauron, are you watching this stuff?

    6) Trent was horrisd the last few weeks. Today, he was excellent. We can only hope that he continues to improve. Count me as one who still thinks that he can be a top 10 QB in this league. In fact, I expect this and more.

    7) Please refresh my memory. Of all the 1st round defensive backs that we have chased throughout the years, did any of them ever take over a game the way McKelvin did today? Way to play kid!!!!!

    8) This week, they SHOULD have pulled Trent early in the 4th quarter. I am being serious. JP has to be rusty. Why not give him some snaps just in case of injury? Wtf?

    9) Way to play Marshawn! The 07 draft was looking good today!!! You too Freddie!

    10) I never pay much attention to announcers, but Wilcotts said that Robert Royal is having a great season. He then went on to praise Denney and Kelsay. Hello? :flirt:

    11) Again, a win is a win, but the Bills were tossing away timeouts as if they were used condoms. Jauron drives me freaking crazy.

    12) Nobody deserved this win more than Bills Fans. Not the players, the coaches.....nobody.

    13) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen Bill, the fans needed this, our backer's bar today dropped from 50 to about 20, the remaining fans were a bunch of the crusty, cynical and angry type, even though Buffalo scored 54 today, NOTHING was good enough and my wife didn't get it. All I could say was "Honey, you haven't been a fan long enough to understand this bitterness, we got sucked in after the 4-0 start". BTW I'm still pounding the booze, nice win today <_<

  5. Let me start with saying, hell yes, 54 points, I look forward to Monday .

As today's game went on, I became really pi$$ed seeing that Houston was beating and eventually beat the Browns in Cleveland!!! To me Cleveland is an eyelash better than KC, I felt bad last week after driving back to Ohio, I think I feel worse a week later. KC's O is better than the Clowns, the D is about even, how in the Fudge did we lose last week on MNF at home? That should have been the get well game?????

Play action today, but none last week, play action works Dick, Turk and Co. WTF you guys really were out coached last week. 6-5 and "In the Hunt" is BS after being 4-0, I will not got sucked in until we are 8-5.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. After the missed 47 yarder, I put my fist through a patio sliding glass door. Obviously I blame myself, but I think I have a right to blame Lindell too. Anybody know if I can bill the Bills for this?

Did you actually think he was going to make that kick? How many on this board thought Lindell would make that kick? I've little to no faith in Lindell since he missed that chippy vs the Steelers way back as Buffalo was going for their 10th win and a possible playoff appearance, the only critical / game winner I remember is the Raiders this year and the Redskins game last year.

The Steelers kicker Reed is now 9 for 9 in game winning and OT kicks, must be nice.

Lindell missed a huge one vs the Jets this year, last night, last year vs the Cowboys before the half he missed which led to a quick 3 for the Cowboys before halftime and there are many others critical misses on top of that

He needed to be 7 yards closer and I thank Dick & Co. for playing not to lose, and that is just what they got. Disgusted

WTF does Buffalo seemed to be so cursed?

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Has the Trading Post gone away?

My wife's current project got in the way and she can longer attend the game with me on Monday Night. Are there any TDBers interested in puchasing a ticket in the Van Miller club for the Browns game?

    Price- $80.00

  8. I will admit, Ryan has aged since his son died under mysterious circumstances (murder? suicide?) in Pakistan while Bob was in Phoenix to cover the last Super Bowl.

But looking for this reaction because his life sucks? Naw. Merely poking the hornets' nest with a stick, just for spits and giggles. Looks like it worked, too. bzzzzzzzzzzzzz .....

Didn't know about his son, I can't imagine how difficult it would be to lose a kid.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Every dog has it's day....Bills 31 - Patsies 24

As they said in the movie Casino...."cheaters justice". Cassell goes out with a broken arm.

    You gotta Billeve.....

    GO BILLS!

It's been so long since Buffalo has won a game vs New England it is difficut for me to pick the Bills, and with the game in NE...... I gotta have faith ......... Bills in a close one.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Ryan that douche ended his comment with "Who Cares About Buffalo Anyway" when discussing the Toss Up question of who needs the game more this Sunday.

That stuff usually doesn't bother me, but for some reason it hit a nerve when he said that, freaking arrogant Boston fan I guess.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. A 5-3 record is what I projected on my schedule, I had them losing to Jax, Zona and SD which means I had them at 3-3 after 6 games, and then winning agaisnt the Dolphins and Jets to get to 5-3.

After they beat SD to go 5-1, I raised my expectations hoping for 7-1, and figured no worse than 6-2 at the break with the Jets at the Ralph. Needless to say they are at 5-3 like I expected, just didn't expect 5-3 this way, but at the sametime I'm disappointed they are not 1 game better at 6-2, but what is done is done.

FWIW: I have them losing at NE to go 5-4 and finishing the season at 11-5 with the 5th loss coming at Denver, I'm hoping for revenge in NY. It would be a major disappointment going less than 10-6 and missing the playoffs after a 4-0 start.

Like everyone else on this board, I am concerned as a fan with the rash of injuries, the weak O-line, no pass rush, no viable #2 WR option, and dimished special teams. After each passing season I realize more and more just how special the '90s were, man do I miss the Bills being in the playoffs.

I'd love to see a win on Sunday but w/ the injuries and poor play it really doesn't look good, but you know what they say "on any given Sunday", it wouldn't hurt if the ball started bouncing the Bills way a little either.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!

  12. I only caught a slight splash of piss...but it was on my friggin elbow? Then I realized the guy next to me had some fire hose action going on, and he was hitting the top and side of the pee trough = blow back. Fortunately most of it was hitting him and not me. But, I was lucky. There were people yelling out about getting pissed on all around me. As I left and walked back into the sun, I felt like a survivor...

GD, that is one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time, LOL!!!!

Firehose, blow back, piss on the elbow. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That was great

  13. I just have this bad feeling this weekend...Chargers are coming off a huge win...momentum on their side...they are extremely talented...Bills defense will have a hard time this weekend I believe...and how healthy is Edwards REALLY gonna be this weekend?

In no way shape or form am I saying the season is doomed, but I just do not see a W on Sunday...

No need to apologize if that is the way you feel, if it helps you at all, I don't see Buffalo winning this game either. The one thing in Buffalo's favor is that the game is at the Ralph.

    GO BILLS!!!!

  14. God, that game. Anyone remember how great Clemens was in that game? Fumbled a punt return but then returned a pick for six? Completely redeemed himself on that play. But yeah, I ended up hating Lindell for that kick too, and I have to say, I still do. Now I know that might be seen as irrational, especially with Lindell and that streak inside the 40, but I don't think I can forgive the guy for that miss, no matter how much time passes. Every time he lines up, I think back to that kick, and get nervous. I'm still uncertain if he can make a 40 plus field goal in crunch time (proven wrong in Wash last year but I still don't like him). I need to see him hit a game-winning playoff kick before he's great in my book.

I know, I know, completely irrational, but still....he shoulda made that F'N kick!

I thought I was the only one who still felt that way about Lindell. I told the gang I watch Bills game with that I still don't trust Lindell, and when I explained why, all they said was I hold a grudge too long.

  15. The muck 'n mire is starting to smell really crappy, and I'm tired of some folks' inability to understand that constructive (and sometimes unconstructive) criticism of Edwards is not equal to hoping he fails.

Some feel he is going to be a great QB. Some feel that it is much too early to tell.

This post is about 6 months early, give him full year at the helm first.

    GO BILLS!!!

  16. Exactly. But, I think we might sign a CB (K Thomas or other) and maybe a backup RB (A Thomas or other).

Then it is all D (LB, CB, DT) and RB in the draft in first 4 rounds of the draft. I do believe when we get to 6th or 7th a QB is probable (and smart) and then the best athlete available at WR, TE, or S.

If we trade Spikes or Willis we get an extra pick or two. My bet is Spikes cant be traded b/c or injury and high salary and so they cut him. Not that I love that move just think marv and dick do it based on comments so far.

Anyway, maybe we get a 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 2 4ths in we trade Willis then getting LB, CB, DT and RB in first 4 rounds is no problem. best value for the 5th 1-4 rnd pick.

Much much younger team on D but a nice veteran team on O with the OL pick ups!!!!

    Go Bills!

P.S. Anybody else think that Royal and Cislack (especially Ceislack) will surprise with receiving numbers/impactthis year? I like how Losman ( found Ceislack last yr... nice chemistry.

I was really high on Cislack last year and wanted to see him get more touches, I'm thinking he and Royal are going to have really good years as they should be able to go out in pass patterns vs being blockers.

  17. With the Bills "Cash to Cap" policy as stated during Marv's PC, how much room under the cap remains to sign FAs? I'd say the Bills would be about done in the FA market this year.

Buffalo has spent big bucks on Kelsay, Dockery and Walker. Add in Whittle and with the retention of a few of our own guys the estimated 15 to 20 mil of cap space must have vanished by now :P

Having said that, I do like what they have done, not sure if it will work out, but at least Marv and Co. seem to have a plan.
