  1. I guess we are both waisting our money on the Insider because we can get it here for free ....
  2. Comment: Walker is quick, active and experienced. He is somewhat versatile. He has played three-technique and nose tackle. He is at his best using his first-step quickness and hitting gaps. He reads quickly and gets good jumps on plays. He is tough to block when slanted into gaps. He can get sideways, make himself skinny and give linemen little surface to block. He can play laterally and has the quickness to get down the line and make plays. He uses his hands well to keep blockers off his lower body. He is a solid wrap-up tackler who strikes with force. But Walker is aging and coming off an injury-plagued 2005. He isn't a power player. He isn't physical at the point of attack and doesn't split double-team blocks effectively. He won't stack, shed and make tackles in the hole. He has lost some pass-rushing ability. He no longer gets on the edges quickly. He doesn't counter effectively when he gets tied up.

  5. Would you guys like to use the picks we got from Baltimore and send it to Washington or San Diego for their backs? I really like Betts... His play was great last year when Portis went down.. Anyways, I really would like one of those backs...
  6. On NFL.COM stats that Dominick Rohdes is coming to town tomorrow.. Interesting.. Very INterseting... http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10033511
  7. I heard it on sirius radio... Pat Kirwin... I guess the jets are very interested in him.. The only reason I brought up Al Wilson earlier is because I read it on an espn chat... That Detroit really wanted him.... It makes sense to me.. I know we will not get him straight up for Willis but maybe through in a draft pick.. Just brain storming.... I feel like we got a new house at RT!
  8. I hope the bills go trade for him. I feel he is worth our 2nd round pick. He is a good power back. He is young and he is signed long term for little money.. I feel this is will help us a lot. We can then trade Willis to Denver for a third... I would prefer for Al Wilson straight up.... I would like to see us trade TKO for a 5th rounder and then sign Nick Harper.. Let me know what you all think! I love our OL now, but I am afraid of our Defense!
  9. Mikey(Lackawanna NY): Do you think the Bills will go after any of the big ticket free agents? Do you think Cato June could be an option? Mike Holbrook: Mikey: June has been mentioned as a good fit for the Bills' defense. They are on record as saying they want to get faster and add playmakers at linebacker and June fills that bill. I don't think the Bills will splurge on one big FA signing, but could add June, a veteran O-lineman and a veteran cornerback to fill big holes. We hear that LB Takeo Spikes' future with the Bills may be in doubt following GM Marv Levy's comments that Spikes' 2006 season was not on a par with what he had done in the past, despite the fact that Spikes was coming back from a torn Achilles and was hampered by a hamstring injury. Word is the team isn't sure if Spikes can be the kind of attacking linebacker that he once was, and that is the best fit for him in the team's Cover 2 defensive scheme.
  10. I think we will sign Nick Harper (very sad that Clements wont be here) and Luke Petigout
  11. mark (miami fl): why are people saying that buffalo will be the team to beat in the next couple of years SportsNation Jeremy Green: Not sure. They are too cheap to be good. They have close to 33 million in cap room and are going to let Clements and Fletcher walk. They are too frugal to put anything together long term. pedro (dunkirk ny): what do the bills have to in this draft and free agency to be a playoff team SportsNation Jeremy Green: Follow up. Re-sign Clements and Fletcher. Have a nother good draft and they are there. SCOTT(SYRACUSE): Horrible answer to Buffalo question why over pay for a cover 2 corner and an old line backer when Evans and Losman will need extensions soon plus we have o-line needs SportsNation Jeremy Green: OK Scott. Watch that cap space sit there and mold like rotten milk. The Bills are not going after any big time players because they have cap, but they don't have CASH and there is a big difference.
  12. I know this is complete talk and here say but they were talking about us trading up with Cleveland to take Adrian Peterson. I assume we would have to give up our 1st, 2nd and 4th. I think we should do it if we can get a 2nd for Willis (i doubt we will get a 2nd however). Let me know what you all think....
  13. I believe we might sign L. Petitgout. He was an undrafted FA when he went to the giants and McNally was his coach. I think he will be affordable and can be versitale enough to play OG or OT. Let me know what you think... Comment: Petitgout is consistent, durable and experienced. He has some versatility, having played both tackle positions and guard in the NFL. He is tall, rangy and has good first-step quickness. His is smart and has surprisingly good feet for his size. He understands blocking angles and knows how to work defenders. He usually plays in control, rarely overextends and can handle combination moves. He is adept at cut blocking when necessary. He moves laterally with ease and has some natural ability to change directions. He can mirror and slide with most ends and run them past the pocket with his long arms. He is effective on pull and trap blocks and on the second level. His footwork and frame help him close down separation and maintain contact with defenders. But Petitgout lacks ideal power and athleticism. He can get a little upright, and he won't move the pile in the run game. He has some problems against big, strong two-gap linemen. He lacks lower-body explosiveness and isn't a great finisher. He isn't quite quick enough when isolated on the edge.
  14. I would be happy with the draft of both Amobi Okoye and Michael Bush... Michael Bush reminds me of Thomas Smith because their stocks both dropped because of a broken leg.. Tell me what you all think!
  15. Buffalo Bills Cornerback: Three of the Bills' top four corners are free agents and there is a chance they will lose at least one starter. They will try to re-sign top cover corner Nate Clements, but it may be tough to keep him in a Bills uniform. Look for the Bills' front office to replace any losses through free agency or the draft with a cover corner who has size. Defensive tackle: The Bills' defense was ranked 30th in the league and yielded an average of 141 yards per game on the ground. Buffalo will address the defensive interior, as rookie tackle John McCargo was on injured reserve all season and defensive tackle Tim Anderson may test the market. The new-look defensive philosophy is based on quickness and penetration from the defensive line, but a huge wide-body in the middle could be what Buffalo needs to shore up its run defense. Offensive tackle: The offensive line appeared to perform better after the Week 8 bye, with a shuffling of players. However, the line was still inconsistent protecting the quarterback and creating creases for Willis McGahee and Anthony Thomas. Dick Jauron's offensive philosophy is to control the ball on the ground and use an efficient passing game, which can only be accomplished with improved offensive line play. Look for the Bills to add a swing tackle with enough intelligence and strength to move inside, providing depth at guard. Wide receiver: Lee Evans finished the 2006 season with 82 receptions and played well in the absence of Eric Moulds, but the Bills could use a big presence to put pressure on opposing corners. Buffalo's top four receivers are undersized, and several taller receivers might be available in free agency or the draft. Tight end: The Buffalo offense does not often use the tight end to pressure defenses. Robert Royal did have a solid second half of the season, but is not a great route runner and has limited vertical ability. Look for the Bills to expand their passing game with the acquisition of an athletic tight end who can be used in several different positions.

  17. We were desperate last year I guess.. Should we transiition tag London or Kelsay?
  18. I am not sure of all the rules about FA. I know we promised Nate that we will not franchise him, but maybe we can transition tag him.. I am not sure what the positives/negatives of doing this is.... Please inform me.. Thanks
  19. I have ESPN Insider and this is what a writer wrote..... Bill of Goods? Mike from Lackawanna, N.Y., asked, "Do you think Nate Clements will land with his hometown team -- the Cleveland Browns?" I don't think Clements will land in Cleveland if only because the issues in the secondary last year had more to do with injuries. Leigh Bodden, Daven Holly, Brodney Pool and Sean Jones give Cleveland a very solid nucleus of young defensive backs, so there are more pressing personnel needs for Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage to address. Even if the Browns were to decide to pursue Clements, they should not break the bank for him. His performance the past four years has been quite inconsistent. Clements posted dominant yards per attempt (YPA) numbers in 2004 (5.7) and 2006 (6.1). Conversely, his numbers were decidedly mediocre in 2003 (7.3) and 2005 (8.8). His 2003 season was actually even worse than the numbers would indicate, as he benefited from a lot of dropped and inaccurate passes. He simply has not displayed the type of consistency that would be expected from one of the biggest names in the free-agent market this year.
  20. I think if we trade for Dre Bly it is because of adding a veteran to help with Yubody. I just would feel more comfortable with a vet there to start with and have Ashton develop more... He only dressed for one game last year...
  21. In a surprising move Ron Rivera is not going to be retained as a DC for the Bears.... I am surprised with this decision! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2771399
  22. I think he will be a middle range CB in terms of salary. He is a good CB for the cover 2. Another possibility is trading for Dre Bly. I think he could be an option because he will be here for a year or two, so Yubody can mature more as a player. I have copied and paisted comments from an ESPN Insider chat. I just feel that we need to have some form of a veteren to come in and replace NC. I am sad to say that we are going to lose him. He is a great player. Josh (Dexter, NY): KC, help me understand. I've read that the Tampa 2 system is not made for players like Dre Bly. What CB in the league is the best example of a "Tampa 2 CB"? Thanks. SportsNation KC Joyner: Nick Harper is a great example. Bly isn't made for the cover-2 (or so the story goes) because he isn't a good enough tackler. Mikey(Beth Park): Do you think the Bills will try to trade for Dre'Bly? We could use a veteran to play along with are young bucks? Plus i hear he is a fan of Dick Jauron from his days in Detroit? SportsNation KC Joyner: Good point, Mikey! He could be a hedge against their losing Clements, which is likely to happen in my opinion.
  23. Ok.. So I am new at this stuff.. Please, let me know what you think....
  24. These are the moves I see happening for the Bills this season. Please let me know what you guys think.... First, we will loose Clements. We will offer him a fair deal, but some team will offer him too much money. Instead of allocating the majority of our money on one player I think we can do better with signing a player like Nick Harper. I think we must improve our OL. After the bye week our OL did improve, but we are not close to where we need to be. I think resigning Gandy will be one part of our offseason. I also think we will sign an OG from San Diego. I would not be surprised if we sign the recently cut OT from NYG. He was there while our OL coach was still in NYG. I hope we do not, but I can see us releasing TKO. If we do this I hope we will be able to sign a player like Cato June. I believe our Draft will go like this: Round 1) Amobi Okoye 2) Joe Staley OT Central Michigan or Brandon Siler ILB Florida 3) David Harris ILB Michigan or Tony Ugoh OT Arkansas
