  1. I think the only way he could say it louder would be to actually say it!!!

TE continuously locks on to his reciever from the snap right through the throw. Not only that he is hanging em out to dry with his way off throws. :(

Am I the only one cursing at the TV just because TE wont pull his head out of his arse?

  2. I bolded what is most likely wrong here. Your locked in to a two year deal. They don't seem to deal as much with the people who are locked in to deals. Although, $20 off for 6 months isn't too bad though. I have no idea why, it just seems that way. Although, I'm totalling guessing. We'd know for real next year when Skoob is locked in, but he would never admit he made a mistake and locked himself in to a two year deal anyway as I was told today online. So, we may never know.

I recently did the DTVmove(as seen on tv) and had to lock into a new 2 yr plan to do it. This was a month and a half ago. I am not so sure that being in a contract with DTV hurts your negotiations as I have been in my NEW one for a very short time and got money off the ST and SF for free for the second year.

Having the contract does not mean that you have to carry alot of extras along with it. You could just have the base package and thats it. Having more than that will still give you some leverage as a DTV customer and you can still make deals.

  3. Ok so I guess I will be the only one who didn't get the 20 a month off the ticket. I only got 10. I admit that I did get a little scared when my rep said that the cancellation would not be a problem and if I would hold for a min they would get me done up. Then another lady gets on and she is the one who asked me if I would keep the package for a sweeter deal. She tried to give me 10 off the ST and then 1/2 off the SF. I did some arguing and got the SF for free.

So all in all I got 10 a month of the ticket and the superfan for free (2nd straight year for that). While I did not get the same deal that some did I am still happy that I did get a discount. :wallbash:

  4. Yeah he`s even thinking about joining the national guard ,which will pay off his loans. Time for a change??

I would steer clear of the Guard if he actually wants to use his skills. The Navy has many many programs that will not only give him the experience in the field of his choice (minus day care provider and vetrinarian) but help him get a job after his tour is up.

I have been a Navy Recruiter for the last 8 years so if you have any questions just let me know and I will answer them the best I can.

  5. First off thanks for all the replies...

I have a signal strength of 97...(after I had a tech come back out a week after install)

The cables are all new to the house and the basement cables are new but I think the cables inside the house are existing. Maybe an issue but I'm not sure. What do you think Fez?

The main issue is with the TV in the master. What I don't understand is how can 4 other TV sets work fine and just one seem to lose signal the most? Could this be something that I can run a new line on or does it have to be a DTV Tech?

Also the dish is on a pole in the back yard. I had a roof mount in Alabama. But the roof was put on 2 weeks before I moved in and I was told by my realtor that if I put the dish on the roof then the warranty will get voided.

  6. I recently moved to Hilliard OH, (suburb of Columbus) from Dothan AL. When I was in Dothan we would get hurricane spin off, tornadoes, hail, strong wind, etc. I never lost signal there no matter what the weather was doing.

Now I have transferred my service and it seems like if a cloud goes over the house or my dog farts near the dish I lose signal immediatly.

I know some here have had DTV for some time and that Fez is the expert. What could be causing this to happen? I am about 1 more interupted TV show away from cancelling all together as this has been an ongoing issue over the last month that I have been in the new house

Any and all advice is much appreciated...Thx Steve

  7. If you are backwashing constantly to keep the pressure up then the fingers inside the filter may be shot.

If your pool is still dirty ( green water ) put in a bottle of drop out...it will take all the dirt and algae and anything else floating in the water and put it on the bottom of the pool..vacuum on waste and be done with it.

Pools are easy to keep up once you do it yourself and learn the tricks of your pool..And the pool will always let you know when something ain't right!!!

  8. Center - Mack or Unger

    Guard - Hangarter, Butler

    RT-Walker

    RG-Bell

    C-Caldwell----3rd Rnd---Alabama

    LG-Hangartner

    LT-Smith----1st Rnd---Alabama

I like mine better than yours

  9. I seriously hope the Bills are all over this situation. Waters would be a great addition to the OL. Gonzo would be AWESOME, but after passing on a chance to come here last year, I don't know if he would change his mind now. One can dream. Maybe we can trade our two 4th rounders for Waters (KC) and Scheffler (Denver).

They should be all over it....I guess we will see.

  10. There is a great place to watch football on the west side of columbus in Hilliard called My Cousin Vito's....they have 14 flat screens and even 2 tvs on the patio and they plan to have large projection TVs in the seperate dining room for Bills games only....a full menu and weekly specials theme to opponents

please email me if you have any other questions about details...

Wow.. It has been so long since I have been to a Bills Bar to watch games!!!!! And to make it even better I am looking at a couple of houses in Hilliard!!!!

  11. Since I don't have kids, I can't speak to the education piece except stay away from Columbus Public. I have friends with kids in Westerville and Dublin schools and their parents are very pleased with they system.

Yes, you can Blue Light at most of the grocery stores, at least at Kroger and Giant Eagle!

I have heard to stay away from the Columbus City Schools. Looking in the outlying areas has seem to cut down on my housing options though as I will be renting. Cannot buy until something happens with this economy unless I were to fall into a killer deal or foreclosure.

Are there any Bills bars in the area?

  12. If you're traveling during rush hour, I think you'd be looking at a minimum 40 minute commute from Westerville to the west side. Pickerington would be at least that bad. Personally, I would avoid Pickerington like the plague, simply because the traffic is horrific.

Grove City would be a good option to cut down on your commute, I always hear that taxes are horrible but I don't know how they compare to the other 'burbs, everyone complains!

Dublin and Upper Arlington are pricey but folks who live there love it.

I also need to take into account the school systems. The kids education will probably be the driving influence on my decision.

Do they sell Labbatt Blue Light in Columbus or will I have to import it like I do in Alabama?
